It helps to teach children that in the end we are rewarded for being honest and doing well. The illustrations are wonderful in this story and bring the book to life.
Learning Experience: A good learning experience with this book, The Empty Pot is to get mini pots for the children to decorate on the outside and give each child a seed to grow in their pot. The children should put in soil and water the seed. Over several weeks, keep a chart for each child’s plants growing process. When reading this story out to a small group the teacher can also show where China is on the map. (less)
