There are differences of opinions on how the humankind and the vampryekind should or could interact. The romance is palpable. There are bands put in place and a price to pay for doing the forbidden.
This romance was between two classes that should not have that kind of contact. There was no room for love. There was no room for passion. There was only one way and that was the way that was dictated to them. Kyra and Sebastian find that they never felt the kind of emotions that they were feeling. There was something elemental yet soul stirring about the emotional connections that were made here. The sacrifices that were willing to be made.
Courting Moon was a romance filled with some drama between races, a bit of mystery/suspense, passion never know by either, and romance that will change the direction of this new world.
I got drawn in and wrapped up in the opposite side of the Council and the Coven. Krya had a lot to come to terms with in her young life. The first POV was telling from Krya’s aspect. She tackled real world impacts on her small family. Seeing things from her viewpoint allowed for further insight into what was going on with her. For me this was a read that will give new ways to see the roles of the various races living together and when things cross between and beyond those lines. ...more
I was biting my nails on this one. I was not sure what Charlotte would choose family or characters. I was not sure which one I wanted her to choose. TI was biting my nails on this one. I was not sure what Charlotte would choose family or characters. I was not sure which one I wanted her to choose. The characters were so rich, engaging, and hers/theirs. Her siblings were her blood, family, loved ones. Each set created a connection to Charlotte and throughout the read you find a reason to hold or to let-go of one or other. Charlotte’s connection to her family, well sibling was the stories she weaved and the way she shared them. This was not a read that you could just take lightly. If you have read Brontë’s works before you know that her characters were rich and complex, yet engaging and life altering.
There was an element of darkness, danger, conflict, sadness, pain, sorrow, and joy. They each had a place in this read and they each filled that void needed to propel the story further. This was a wonderful adventure. It captivated me and held me. I found the richness filling. I found this to be a wonderful adventure to take the youngest of minds on an adventure to be remembered. I enjoyed this read so much that I have started reading it again with my children. We take it one chapter every Wednesday evening after dinner. The children are so excited and anticipates what’s to come next.
I certainly recommend this read to anyone that loved to read young adult fantasy and adventure. It may be set in a time that most children know nothing about but it will still captivate them to explore their own minds and seek out the possibilities of it all. ...more

Alexa has been friends with the best protection money could buy for years. Zack has been there for her through a lot. He can provide Alexa the security she needs both professionally and personally. Alexa and Zack both are in for a ride they never expected and it has nothing to do with the threat against her life, her safety, or her security. This one comes more in the form of an intense chemistry.
My first read from Wyatt and I felt combustion coming off the pages. The plot rich and intense. The character had depth and richness. The chemistry between Zack and Alexa was there and hard to understand why it took so long for them to give in. Chain Reaction set events in motion that put you on a ride that was action filled, intense, raw, and suspenseful. This was most certainly and intense romantic suspense that you will remember....more

I had fun with this read. I was able to get immersed right in this one the day I received it. I had no doubts or slow down to take in the time. I was in and then was finished before I realized that I was in deep.
Right from the onset you knew there was just something not quite right about things. The further you get in you begin to suspect. Then you just know deep down that things are off. Especially when there was a murder after all. I found it fun and light and laughs. No excuse for the humor found within. Things were serious when need be, but there was a light heartedness about things that made it less dire and dreary.
Lord Henry had me from the moment we meet him at the club with his friend. I could feel the hints of devilment within him. The hint at a little excitement. All this to be confirmed in many place throughout the read. He did have a serious side and a responsible side. He was my hero from the beginning.
Eliza had parents that I may or may not have wanted to strangle a few time, okay more. She was likeable (amiable) but just not at the top list for me. Other characters attracted my attention more like Jacob Pevensey. The suspense behind the ten-year break between brothers and other things took more center stage. The characters were drawing and wanting to know held me entertained all the way to the end.

Opaline wanted to give a single gift to comfort and console never thinking that it would go beyond just that simple act of kindness. I was transported to a romantic gesture from one soul working to correct past mistakes to that of those she touched. It difficult to sum it up in a few words. You would need to visit the pages yourself to get the deep connection that was made on a level that could almost be spiritual. I would pick this one up again **This advanced copy was provided via Atria Books in exchange for an honest review.**...more

There are twist, turns, zig-zags, and even some 'get out of here' moments. This read was a full cast of characters that you would love to hate, hate to love, and then just hope for the best. There was so much going on and so many questions that needed answers. This was my first read from Parker J. Cole's Sins of the Flesh series.
The characters are deep, captivating, alluring, deceptive, twisted, lost, desperate, and more. The plot thickens with each new chapter. With each new turn of the page. Heck the plots had plots of there own. There was something going on all over the place. You would be lured in by something on the pages. And you would stay just to find out what the results were. Vengeance has its own way of corrupting a mind and breaking a spirit, but would there be anything that can heal it.
I got myself a well written tale filled with much emotional ups and downs. Finding the truth behind it all will lead to finding the truth in the word. Here I found me a good clean dramatic romance that happens to center around hurt, pain, and revenge. Daffodil and Vincent had much to work through to get to where they both wanted to be. The host of other secondary characters draw you in further providing you with possible future stories to want to know more about. I cannot adequately relay how moving and emotional involved you would get when reading this one, but take the time to invest in a read you will remember. **This ARC was provided via Parker J. She can go toe-to-toe with the best of them. Then she meets Quarterback Dex Harper, who is a hell-raiser to the nth degree. Dex needs help with is career. The career he loves and can count on. There is something in Dex that Danica finds draws her to him and wants to help him.
Perry blends things perfectly for me. I get to see the whole picture and not just small snippets. She shows the intricacies of how things work in both Dex's and Danica's lives. The both have things that they need to decided to continue with or break with to make a relationship between them work.
There is a drawback to this story as with the first in the series. It has more content that leads to the relationship and what has them centered on each other than the actual relationship itself between them. These romances all take place in and around the Blue football organization. It shows you the build up to what leads them to there relationship. If this book was longer with more insight into their relationship (Danica & Dev) one may fill overwhelmed fro a Harlequin Kimani Romance read, which are typically within a certain word count.
Looking forward to 'Just Christmas Night' (Martha Blue and Joqauin Ryder)....more
