This is the story of Linda and Jerry Revere. They live in a quaint town in Colorado with their children Emma and Nick. Life is going great with Linda happily employed at a photo studio and Jerry's teaching job. The kids are doing well in school and everything is perfect. Or so it seems.
What I love about this book is that Linda and Jerry are your traditional christian family. Things look good on the outside but on the inside, life is very different. Linda finds out her best friend Debbie is moving to the other side of the country, there are rumors going around about Nick, and Linda just doesn't know how to cope. Jerry is a very supportive husband who always seems to know what to say to calm Linda down. Together, with their faith and each other, they face are able to face life's little (or not so little) issues that come along.
I felt at times that this book was meant for me at this time. There are so many things in this book that I could strongly identify with. I will definately be checking out more of Megan DiMaria's books!(less)

I first learned of this book when I was at a conference that was presented by Chad Foster. This is a very easy book to read and has practical information for anyone, although the focus is on teens.
I use portions of this book to teach my high school students some tips for surviving past high school. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Also if anyone is looking for an awesome motivational speaker, Chad Foster is one I would recommend. I did not get paid to say that nor does he have a clue who I am!!(less)

Ann Rinaldi writes historical fiction books and this one happens to be about the events that took place at Andersonville. I wanted to read this book because my husband is in the movie. Once I saw the movie, I was inspired to read books about the events that took place there. This is definately a keeper on my bookshelf!(less)

Maybe it's because I'm a nurse and he tends to write stories referencing health conditions, I don't know.
I found this book very enjoyable! I initially started out reading it to my students (a book choice of their request) and I'm glad that I finished it in the privacy of my own home. I don't know that I can finish reading it to them because I get very emotional.
Travis and Gabby have a love-hate relationship in the beginning. Travis loved Gabby from the moment he laid eyes on her and Gabby hated his guts because she thought his dog had knocked up her dog. They spend time together as neighbors getting to know each other, after Gabby realizes he saved her dog's life, but the time is strained for Gabby because of Kevin. Needless to say, Kevin isn't a picture in the book long after Gabby realizes that she deserves better. From that point on, Gabby and Travis have the kind of relationship that every girl dreams of. They have a wonderful life together with 2 beautiful girls...until one night when there is a terrible accident.
Travis never leaves Gabby's side. He has a very important choice to make. You decide, by reading this book, if he made the right one or not!(less)

I read it in about 7 hours from beginning to end. I do believe that this series is better than any Harry Potter book (and I'm a big fan!). I am excited about the movie coming out, but of course it probably won't be nearly as good as the book. Needless to say, I'm in love with a vampire!!! (less)
