1) The Main Character- Adria was awesome. I don't feel like she suffered from the TSTL syndrome that many YA heroines suffer these days. I feel like even though her life wasn't great she was immensely loyal to her family. I really hated her mom, but I appreciated that Adria didn't become an angst ridden teen angry at the world. Now granted at times she did do some pretty stupid things but i think the flaws in her character were there to make her seem more relatable.
2) The Love Interest- So I have to admit I loved Isaac from like the first moment we are introduced to him. Even though at first he appeared as a bit of a man slut... well okay he appeared as a giant manslut, but I felt that he really was an amazing guy beneath that and I was really happy that i was right. I mean Isaac is very swoon-worthy. He has that right amount of possessiveness and love for Adria that you will love him and anyway the whole Alpha thing is kind of hot.
3) The Plot- I feel like many books for YA are overshadowed by teenagers high and hormones. Not to say I dont love romance in m books, I mean i kind of love for the spine chilling totally amazing romance in books but I also want an actual plot. Mayfair Moon had a great plot from Alex and the whole situation with her to Aramei and the situation with her and how she is involved at the end.
So I definitely recommend this books to people who love both a good romance read about werewolves as well as a developed plot. I cant wait for the next book because there are just so many answers that I need!!!!!!! And you can check out more about this book on my blog: http://thebookconfessions.blogspot.com/(less)

I am totally honored that i got a chance to review this as it's a fantastic read. Now on to the actual review. Hacienda Moon has everything that a novel needs to be great. From loss, to horrifying murders, to breathtaking love story, and lastly to some rather crazy and scary ghost, the way KaSonndra incorporated all these elements into the novel created a mesmerizing tale. I loved the main character Tandie. I couldn't believe how strong she was even after everything that happened to her. She didn't let herself breakdown even of she really wanted to. She was a great character. Tandie's emotions and really all the emotions in the book were so strong and well written that I could feel them coming of the pages in waves. Not only do we have a great heroine but we have a plot that will render you speechless. Most of the events in the novel, with the exception of like two, surprised me. I would find myself predicting one thing happening and something completely different would happen out of nowhere. The plot also has just the right amount of spooky elements. It wasn't scary and it wasn't the type of book that causes you to be scared by every sound for a week after you finished it. No, this book has just the right amount of creepy elements to keep you on your edge. I loved every aspect of this book. The plot was different and unpredictable. The love story between Eric and Tandie was beautiful. It wasn't rushed. It was just perfect and well they were perfect for each other, and why wouldn't they be of they are the center of a two hundred and sixty year old curse. I felt like I was a part of the book. I would recommend this book for everyone. It's awesome in every way. We have mystery, love story, and creepy, evil , some nice and some well I guess some very confused ghosts haunting Chelby Rose plantation.(less)

This is the type of book that makes you believe in the all consuming, powerful, gives you wings kind of love. A love that will plaster a giant smile on your face and make you cheer for the characters. I loved Lily. She is such an inspiring heroine and it was great reading from her perspective and seeing how she works through problems and how is able to rely on her faith in though situations. She wasn't a whiny type of a girl who refuses to see the truth right in front of her and keeps on denying the plain truth. I loved the fact that Lily just accepted problems as she faced them. Which let me just tell you there were a lot of. I felt so bad for her she had to face so many things but she never doubted herself and never lost faith in Lucas and their love it was really great. Lucas was a great male hero and I loved the fact that he wasn't made out to be perfect. He had his flaws and in the beginning of the novel he had a lot of them. However, I was able to love him as a character because I watched him work through those problems and become a truly become a man worthy of our amazing Lily. She was his everything and I loved how nothing mattered to him but her not even his own life was more important than Lily. Now for the best part of the book, the love story. The love these two characters shared was so pure and loyal and just amazing. They faced so many challenges and obstacles and hard times but their love got them through it all. I mean this is the kind of love people dream about, poets write sonnets for, and well it's the kind of love that keeps people from losing faith in humanity and encourages people to believe that true love still exists and it's still powerful and still wonderful. I have to say however, that this book has some strong Christian faith elements which would make sense as Lily is a devoted Christian so those readers that tend to dislike characters praying or relying on God might find some issues with this book. To be fair though, its not one of those crazy Christian books where the main character is convinced that everything and everyone is a spawn of Satan. The main character is Christian but she never attempts to get anyone else to turn Christian and she doesn't judge anyone for not being Christian. It was great how loving and accepting she was. (less)

This book was amazing, I don't even know where to start, I mean this book was just out of this world. I loved Mayfair Moon but this book is even better. From the first chapter of this book up until the very last page I was holding my breath. There were just so many questions. As Adria struggles with the Blood Bond that was unwillingly performed on her, or so she thinks, I struggled with her. I mean I felt like I was the one losing my mind and it just had me completely hooked. I really think Adria made the list of my favorite heroines ever. She faced so much in her life but she is just so positive and she is so loyal even after all this time she still cares about her sister and her mom. Its just great. Which is why I struggled so much with was happening to her. I really cared about her in a way I felt like she was my friend telling me her story. It takes a great author and great writing skills to do that. Isaac. I just loved him here. He cares about Adria so much and how he was so afraid of losing it was just breaking my heart through out the entire book. Now those of you stressing that the bad boy, total hottie Isaac has become soft can relax he is even badder and hotter in this installment. He has that playful banter to him but we get to see just how much he cares for Adria, it really was awesome. Which brings me to the plot. I have no words and I mean none. It was nothing like what I expected. This hasn't happened in a while usually I can predict what might happen, well not here. I would say 99% pf what happened had me surprised. There is just so much getting revealed and so many twists and turns that I was sitting in my room reading and avoiding the text messages my friends were sending me. I was actually angry when someone would interrupt me from this book. ( My reaction kind of scared me.) This book is a fast paced, nail biting, hair pulling, kindle clutching, heart pounding ride and I loved every minute of it. In no part of this book was I bored or distracted every scene has something to it that kept you glued. Although I'm kind of mad at myself now because I read this on the day it came out and will now have to wait for the next book which is the last. I think I'm going to be sad to see Adria and Isaac go, but also I wouldn't want them to face drama for ten books which is why I'm very happy this is a trilogy. So anyway this book had a heroine that isn't pathetic or stupid( you have no idea have rare that is these days... well actually some of you readers out there have a pretty good idea.) Lizzie is just an average high school junior. She has a best friend and a not so great boyfriend. All that changes when Drew arrives, and she starts having flashbacks of a past life a life that she shared with Drew. However, Drew made it very clear he wants nothing to do with her, however Lizzie isn't the one to just give up. So first I'll start with the boyfriend, Jeremy. He annoyed the baby kitties out of me. I mean this kind was just a terrible boyfriend. I don't even know how Lizzie could stand this guy. That's it he was terrible I have nothing else to say about him. Drew on the other hand was totally amazing, that is when he wasn't being hot and cold. Even though I understand why he acted the way he did he was a bit annoying in the beginning. He manages to become completely swoon worthy by the end of the book though. There wasn't a big plot to the novel but the events that did occur bring up a lot of questions. Can you really change fate? If you were given a second chance would you take it and risk heartbreak? Can people really change? I enjoyed the points this book brought up and it was a good and easy read that I really enjoyed. When I saw that it was released early (as an accident on the part of Amazon and BN.com) I jumped with joy. This book did not disappoint. It was a captivating, heart wrenching edge of your seat read that had me crying and laughing and tearing out my hair all the same time. ( yeah I didn't think that was possible until I read this book either.) This book picks up right where Kindred left off. Adria is getting used to her life as a werewolf but of course things are never calm for Adria and Isaac and Isaac's scary as hell alpha werewolf dad decided he's going to use Adria to communicate with Aramei even if it puts Adria at risk. Adria becomes a lot more mature in this book. After the prophecy in the last book saying she will start a war Adria becomes a lot more responsible. She makes certain choices for the better of others and then puts herself last. She faced a lot in this book. There were so many curve-balls being thrown at this girl I just wanted to give her a hug. She was a great character. She was smart, calculated, she wasn't overly naive, she definitely wasn't a Mary Sue type of heroine and she wasn't the I'll do exactly opposite of what my more experienced, better trained boyfriend tells me to do just because I'm an independent woman. She knew what battles to fight and when to step down. I loved her as a heroine and I was so happy when she got her happily ever after. Isaac. Oh how I missed my clever, hot, alpha, corny, scarier then hell when pissed off , did I say hot? werewolf. Isaac was perfect in this finale. He had his own demons to fight and decisions to make and I loved how he put Adria first. She was his everything. He stood up to his dad for her. That takes guts. And before you go all it's just his dad how bad can he be? Read this book then come talk to me. His dad is SCARY. Like if that was my father I don't think I would be able to make eye-contact and I definitely wouldn't be able to have a conversation heck I would be scared to breathe in his presence. So back on track when he stood up to his dad I was all like Isaac be my husband you are perfect. The plot was amazing. There were so many twists and turns and so many shocking reveals I don't think my jaw ever left the floor. It was intense and emotional and this one scene almost had me crying. Basically go get this book and if you haven't read the other two then why are you still here. Go pick up Mayfair Moon and Kindred. Like now.(less)

Th...moreReview also appears on my blog So first I would like to thank the awesome author of this novel for giving me the chance to read and review her book. Thank you so much!!! Now for the actual review. Jona was a different kind of heroine. She wasn't the perfect heroine that leads the ideal life, that never does anything wrong and is nice to everyone. Jona faced a lot in her life and she was just a snarky, girl that knows that life is unfair and that it's not all fun and games. Jona has an attitude and she makes mistakes but as a heroine she was amazingly well written and easy to relate to. She struggled with herself and what choices she had to make and even though at times she came off as just a rude kid, she was just a girl that closed herself off from the world to make sure she doesn't get hurt again. So when the judge makes go live with her mom well she is about to relive something she doesn't want to go back too. That chages when she meets her mom's caretaker, the amazingly hot, gorgeous, out of this world guy a.k.a Julian. I loved him. Even though at times I really questioned what the whole deal was between him and her mom. He was a great guy though and he really cared about Jona. Really he was just the perfect hero and he also happened to know what to say to get on your nerves. This guy really knew how to get a girl angry and frustrated but in a good way. I liked how the plot worked out and this was just a really cute read. It has meaning to it and a kickass heroine but at the same time it has the fluff that I love so much from a paranormal YA. In short go get this book if you like paranormal romance you wont regret it. Piper Shelly once again did an amazing job with her novel.(less)

There are so many things I loved that were just great about this novel and then other things infuriated me to no end. I'll start with the things I loved. The concept and premise. This was so different from any other paranormal romance there that going into it I really didn't know where the author was going to take that. The whole seventh son of the seventh son concept is great and you really don't see it to much out there. I liked our main characters. Dani and Cayden were smart and knew what they wanted and they were in general likable characters. Cayden was sweet. He had the boy next door vibe and that really worked for him. Dani was determined and even though she wasn't one hundred percent rational at times she was likable despite being stubborn. Okay so now here's what drove me insane. The romance. I can't believe I'm saying this. I am like the biggest romance, true-love, soul mate geek out there but the romance was both the best part of the novel and the most infuriating. It was amazing because they really do care for each other so much and their love is pure and all that but it annoyed me because they were so codependent. It's okay to love someone so much that you feel like maybe you're missing something when they're not there but this is taking it to the extreme. They go on talking about how they miss each other while they were separated for at most five minutes. It was an extremely codependent relationship with Dani always going on about how she needs him and she basically ignored everyone when she was with him. It was cute at first but towards the end of the novel it kind of had me rolling my eyes. So this book leaves me puzzled. The concept was great but there wasn't all that much plot development in the novel and the romance was cute but it really pushed some buttons.(less)

Ever since the Awakening, Angels...moreSee review on my blog:http://thebookconfessions.blogsp... Review: Scott Speer definitely took a fresh take on angels. Ever since the Awakening, Angels have roamed the Earth and more or less overtook Hollywood. They are the talk of blogs and shows, they're on tabloids, the are the focus of paparazzis. In short they are the celebrities 2.0 of their day the 2.0 being the fact that they're angels and are immortal. Maddy is your average teen girl, minus the fact that she doesn't give a flying puppy about angels. At least until she meets Jackson Godspeed, hot, famous, and one of the most talented young angels out there, he is shocked that Maddy doesn't recognize him and when she finds out who he is she wants nothing to do with him. However, as Maddy starts seeing the real Jacks she is swept into his world, a world where Jackson Godspeed can be the next victim of a gruesome murder. I have to say I was surprised with this book. It was definitely cool reading about the life style of the rich and the famous. The plot was good and the characters were quite likable. Jacks was pretty amazing. He is super famous, super hot, super talented and yet he isn't full of himself or conceited. He also really cares about Maddy and it was really awesome to see how much he was willing to sacrifice just to be with her. So yeah I liked Jacks he's definitely book boyfriend material. I mean come one how can you resist him? He's such an angel ;) Get it? Cuz you know he is an angel? Yeah... No? Okay forget my little rant. Jacks was awesome. Maddy was a really likable character. She works in her Uncles diner for no pay simply because she wants to help and she doesn't even complain. To go even further she feels guilty when he starts thanking her because he took care of her. She is very loyal. Just like Jacks was willing to sacrifice so much for Maddy, Maddy is willing to give up her own happiness and even her life just to make sure that Jacks stays alive. The plot was good even if it was predictable. There were certain things that were left unanswered and I'm guessing it's going to be addressed in the following book. However the next book is due out in April. April!!!!!! That's 8 months!!! (head meets table.) Anyway, I excited to see how certain issues are going to be dealt with in the next book.(less)

I think I scared him a bit, or maybe a lot, but it was totally worth it. This book is a lock your door, forget anything you have to do, avoid any human contact until you're finished type of read. Holy alien babies everywhere! This book was amazing. Obsidian was great, it's one of my favorite books but Obsidian has got nothing on Onyx. This book just grabs your heart and makes you feel all warm and comfy and cuddly and then guess what? If you guessed painfully rips your heart out of your chest you guessed right, but don't worry your heart will be feeling all flurry and warm by the end of the book... well kinda. Daemon, [insert dreamy face here] I love him so much that he gets his own paragraph. I mean lets be honest most of us loved Obsidian so much because of him, actually if I'm going to be completely honest he is one of two reasons I was so hyped for Onyx the second being the tension between him and Katy. So anyway, we all like Obsidian Daemon, however I think I might be in love with Onyx Daemon. Hahahaha, yeah scratch the "I think" I know I'm in love with him. In Onyx he is soooo sweet. Sure he still has some of the douche bagginess to him but some of the things he does for Katy here made me actually go Awwwwwwwww. If you aren't swooning over Daemon by the end of this book, well I think you're giggly girlstincts just haven't kicked in yet. Not only is Daemon hot as hell in Onyx, he shows his gentle sides and really let's his guard down. Oh and Daemon jealous :) Let me just tell you if the whole laying low alien thing doesn't work out for him he should go into comedy. I was dying of laughter every time he got jealous over Katy.Oh and Biff.. wait no that's not it, I think it's Bill or maybe Chase? Bobby?Clake? Flake? anyway the guy stood no chance against Daemon. It was like putting and ant against a bulldozer. I would feel sorry for him, if I liked him which I don't so if you ask me, Daemon should have gone all Luxen on little Biff's ass. That would totally be my favorite scene. Yeah that should be a bonus scene or something. Also the scenes between him and Katy were dripping with sexual tension. I mean this was me pretty much every time they interacted:
Yeah I actually did the jumpy thingy when I got the book and then pretty much at random moments throughout Onyx. On to Katy... In Obsidian there were moments when I really wanted to slap Daemon, but in Onyx it's Katy that I want to shake a little. I understand why she was vary of Daemon in the beginning of the book, but I mean girl what does the guy have to do to prove he actually cares for you? But when they finally get together I was all like
Her stubbornness aside, I still love the girl to death. How can you not she's loves books and she's a blogger. On a more serious note she did mature a lot in Onyx. She becomes protective of those she loves and will do anything for them. She isn't the heroine who waits around and let's everyone else handle her problems. She deals with it on her own. Granted she makes mistakes doing it , but she owns up to them , which is a trait many YA heroines lack these days. I don't even know what to say about the plot without giving away any spoilers. However, let me just tell you that there is so much to this book besides Katy and Daemon. We learn so much and so many things are revealed that I'm still shocked. I mean thinking about it now... Yeah still pretty shocked. WARNING: The cliff hanger in this book is painful, it will torment you until the release of Opal. I don't know how I'm going to make it to December. I think I'm going to go look for a time machine, because there is no way I can survive the next four months. Yep time machine it is. See you all in December with a copy of Opal, I'm out looking for a time machine. (less)

I planned on reading this book over several days but ended up finishing it all in one sitting it was just so good. In this book Clara and Eli are racing to New Mexico not only to escape the Horde but also to find an answer to what is going on with Clara( I'm not going too reveal too much but Clara gets a little sick in this book.) And tagging along with Clara and Eli are Finn( Eli's old friend) and Enoch the character we all love/hate. Its a race against time to try and save Clara. The plot is quick and intense and often times I would go from laughing like a hyena in my room to biting my nails in a matter of a few pages. You really feel along with the characters and there is never a dull moment in the book. As for the romance... well can i just start off by saying thank you for not putting in a love triangle in the second book as most of todays YA romance authors love to do and frustrate all of us girls to no end with indecisive heroines and amazing guys pining after the same girl for the entire book( or more than one book) when the readers know who the heroine is going to chose. Shelly Crane writes a book where the couple stays together and works trough their problems which is just so much better than adding bad love triangles. So back to the romance in this book... as all of Shelly Crane's books are it was just amazing and heart melting and really really really makes you want a guy like Eli, who was so sweet and caring in this book. Now granted there are a few moments when you want to curse at him and burn the book but in a matter of pages the mess is cleared up and we love Eli even more. So if your devoted to romance do not miss this book or any other of Shelly's books they are all totally amazing.(less)

So I guess I'm a little biased when I say this book is amazing because I love soul-mates. It's absolutely my favorite think to read about. However, thinking about it, I have to say that even if you aren't a die-hard fan for soul-mates you will still find this book great. Dylan is a rockstar and he has been dreaming of a girl that he calls his angel, but he pretty much convinced himself that she can't be real. Heaven has been dreaming of a boy with espresso eyes and dark hair, but she's convinced he doesn't exist. However, this changes for both of them when Heaven is the maid of honor at her best friends wedding and Dylan is the best man. Dylan knows right away that Heaven is his angel, but Heaven, never actually seeing the face of the boy in her dreams, feels an undeniable pull towards Dylan. Dylan starts pursuing Heaven, but she can't be sure if he is actually interested or is he doing simply because he wants one thing and it's not her heart. Will she realize her love for him? Will Dylan be able to convince her they are meant to be? So I totally loves the characters. Even though Dylan is a rockstar, he acts nothing like one. He didn't even date because he was looking for the right girl. He is caring and sweet and well hot and well he isn't perfect. There are parts written from his perspective and what goes through his head makes him really easy to relate to and makes him appear human. He is also super protective of Heaven which is really sweet. Heaven is an amazing character. She is helpful and smart and kind and she faced some pretty tough situations with her crazy stalker ex-boyfriend. She doesn't jump straight into a relationship, but when she does she is dedicated and just the perfect girlfriend. She isn't one of those heroines that you want to slap because they are so stupid. She also isn't stubborn to the point where you want to reach into the book and give her a good push and a slap across the face for being so stubborn. She is really good towards her sisters and is used to taking the back seat to let her sister Faith get the attention, which is why she is a little shy with all the attention she gets from Dylan in the beginning. The plot wasn't anything extraordinary, don't get me wrong it was really good but the romance and the relationship between Heaven and Dylan really makes the book. So the plot has the typical dealing with paparazzi, dating a celebrity, getting rid of a guy you don't like...oh and finding your boyfriend is the guy you have been dreaming about since birth. So yeah the plot was kind predictable but the romance was literally to die for so if soul-mates is your type of thing definitely check out this book.(less)

First I would like to thank the amazing author of Love Lines, Diana Nixon for providing me with a digital copy of her book for review, I'm so glad I had the chance to read this. I'm a total sucker for the whole soul-mates, love at first sight, and two people being bonded kind of thing, which is why this book was perfect for me. Diana did a perfect blend of love, adventure and even a bit of mystery. The plot was so different from everything out there. There was no mention of vampires, werewolves, immortal beings or angels( not that I have anything against those books I mean I love most of them) however it was exciting to read about something so new. The seven families was so cool especially how each descendant bears resemblance to the founder of the family they are in. Which brings me to the Dever. I mean I really wish I could go to this school, the interaction between students, the lessons they have and the festival it's all just great. Diana's writing is excellent and I could actually get an image in my head of what Dever looked like. Eileen was a great heroine. She wasn't stubborn, obnoxious or annoying. She was able to realize what was best for her and didn't get angry at people for keeping certain things secret from her. There was a part in the book where I though she was going to be angry when she found out the truth, but she took it really well and I really respected that about her. She isn't a Mary Sue kind of heroine, but she realizes that there are certain things she shouldn't be involved in yet and I really respect that about her. Christian, he is amazing. He was sweet and open and almost had the boy next door vibe.In a way he was the typical YA hero, smart, talented, popular and let's face it hot, but he was also so much more than that. He wasn't the most powerful and still had a lot of things to learn which is something that made him really relatable. The relationship was perfect. Even though they had intense feelings for each other from the beginning, they really didn't give into them. There was a development to their relationship, so I wouldn't call it insta-love. This is definitely a great read with so many interesting elements that this book will be hard to put down. My only complaint which really isn't even that big of a deal is that there were small grammatical mistakes that confused me a little. However, it's not anything that would take away from the book or make reading it unpleasant. So add this book to your to-read lists and definitely check it out. When I first picked it up I expected an okay read with decent romance and sort of likable characters. This book delivered so much more. Lora is an ordinary teenager, or so she thinks. However, her life takes an exciting and dangerous turn when she meets Chance . Lora is a great character. She wasn't a Mary Sue and she wasn't the type of character that mopes about how terrible her life and how she just wants to be a normal girl. She was kind and loyal and even though she had her flaws but overall she was a great character in the way she handled things. I loved the fact that she didn't become judgmental when her best friend comes back completely different she just accepts the new her. Chance was sweet. I was a little weary of him at first , I mean he was a little too perfect, but taking into consideration that he's an actual prince from a fairy-tale land, I guess his behavior was correct was his character. The thing that set me off a little was their relationship. I mean it was fast paced. I have nothing against insta-love as a matter of fact I really like the whole soul-mate love at first sight story-line but in my opinion there needs to be a development to the relationship and a really good reason for intense feelings. Luckily, the romance wasn't the main focus of the book so it wasn't a major issue. The plot was hard to describe. It's different from most of the shifter books in that it has a fairy-tale feel to it, but it was also similar to many YA books out there in the way it progressed. Girl sees hot boy, girl finds out hot boy likes her, girl goes on date with hot boy and realizes that he's different, girl realizes that her family has been keeping secrets from her and that she has powers, girl faces bad guy and realizes she has to save her world. So yeah the plot wasn't overly original but it was good nonetheless. This book definitely has similarities to Twilight but it's definitely not Twilight 2.0. So I would recommend this book for those that both like Twilight and don't.(less)

Or would you accept the fact that they will never again be yours? I love soulmates which is why this book kept on breaking my heart over and over and over and over again. (yes my heart broke that much) This was such a bitter sweet book and I felt so bad for Nathaniel for most of the book. I mean he pretty much accepted the fact that he will be alone for the rest of eternity and every time he interacts with Maryah it's like pouring salt on a wound. My heart broke for him every time. He is the perfect guy. He's caring, loving, a total gentleman he's just an amazing guy. He is the type of guy every girls dreams of ending up with. So, yeah I totally adored him which is why every time he was hurting I just wanted to reach in and hug him. Maryah was in a way a typical character. She didn't want to believe certain things but then again I don't think I would either. I mean that's the kind of thing that might get you checked in into a mental hospital. Even though I kind of wanted to shake her for causing pain to Nathaniel, I understand that she didn't remember who she was for most of the book so I didn't give into the urge to strangle her. That aside she did grow into a pretty cool character and well once she remembers Nate she becomes a total lovable character. This is a side note but I totally loved how loyal she was. I want this girl to be my friend she may not be the awesomest heroine at times but she's an amazing friend 100% of the time. The Romance. I love Soul Mates. I think I said that already so even though Maryah and Nathaniel don't get together for a while when they do... it's the toe curling, giant smile on your face, and squeal like a fan-girl kind of romance. However, another good aspect in the romance is seen in Nathaniel's pov. I mean you can feel how much he loves her and you can feel his pain which makes this book great. The pl0t shocked me a little, it was kind of unexpected. So if you're a hopeless romantic like me get this book. It's a must read. (less)

I warn you straight away this is not the book to read if you want your books to have deep meanings and clever motifs. This is a light, cliche. funny read, that I totally loved. Jamie was a bit whinny but I mean I think I would whine a little if I was in her shoes. Then again maybe not actually definitely not I mean I would so put those powers to some use. Like if you can run the country in ten minutes well let's just say I would never be bored again. Jamie moped around a bit, complained a bit but to be fair she was a teenager if I ever knew one and well I am one so I know a few teenagers to say the least. She wasn't the world's greatest heroine but she did grow through the novel and even managed to make friends with the people she pretty much despised. Ryan pretty much made this book. I mean I loved this guy. He was the best part. He was protective and funny and well I admit totally cocky and egoistic and arrogant but I loved that about him. I loved how even though Jamie kept pushing him away and telling him no and telling him to get lost and accidentally( well sometimes accidentally) shock him literally shock this guy just kept coming back I mean there was a part in the book where I really started considering that the guy was a masochist. He wasn't though he just really loved Jamie. I have to admit even though the plot wasn't mind-blowing I was still shocked with the twist. It was definitely an I-didn't-see-that-one-coming-moment. This was a totally cliche book but it's still a type of book you could curl up with when it's raining and you're feeling down.(less)

I liked Farron, at first I thought he was going to be one of those sullen, mysterious heroes but that wasn't him at all and he really did care about Etta. He was hurt when she though that he was upset about marrying her and that he didn't want her as his wife. He really did love the girl and the things he would do were pretty sweet and taking her to see her parents he was pretty swoon worthy and well hot. There is a reason this book is 16 and over and I am 16 so believe me when I say this book definitely needs to be 16 and over. Etta was pretty cool but I felt like she was a little slow at times. It took her a while to get some things that Farron was doing and I kind of had to as if she was serious or not. She isn't annoying and she does try and make it work with Farron even in the beginning when she thought he hated humans. The plot wasn't spectacular there were certain things that surprised me but I think this novel is more about the romance between Farron and Etta.(less)

Although I mean come on lets be honest here who wouldn't werewolves have the right amount of charm to them and they also have that alpha feel to it. That's why I didn't hesitate to pick up this book when I read the blurb. Going into this I expected a kick butt heroine and well a pretty hot and swoon worthy male lead. What I got was a lot more. Let's start with Charity. I think that she's that girl that every guy in school wants but is too scared to approach because one of two things will happen. Either a) the girl will destroy the guys ego so bad it will take him years to get over it or b) she will punch him in the face for even trying. Yeah if there was a contest for like Miss Universal Ice-Queen Charity practically has the crown in her hand. However, don't get me wrong there is a reason Charity is the way she is. Her situation at home is something that will cause any girl to behave this way. However, as soon as Levi comes along Charity changes. She opens up takes off the her layers and becomes a really sweet heroine that I totally loved. She tries to see good in everyone though she definitely isn't a Little Miss Sunshine. Levi. Drake. Boy oh Boy... well I guess I should say Werewolf oh Werewolf :) Where do I start? In a way Levi is your typical Alpha. Protective, possessive, bossy, probably has a little book filled with smart-alecky comments. However, at the same time he is really sweet, and loyal and understanding(for the most part) and just really caring. I guess you could say he was a typical YA hero perfect in every way and there is nothing wrong with that. I mean really, who wants to read about an ugly guy who is a total nobody whose life is extremely boring and who has no idea how to talk to girls? Anyway if you like to read about the perfect guy that gets your expectations wayyyy up then trust me Levi is your guy. The plot was actually pretty good. Sure there were some things that were pretty obvious like the fact that Levi was a werewolf I mean if the fact that he is extremely bossy didn't give it away, then all the growling should have. Besides that there were certain elements in the story that were totally unpredictable. Like jump out of a jungle smack you in the face and run away kind of unpredictable. Overall if you like werewolves and a good romance go get this book.(less)

Now on to th...moreReview also appears on my blog First I would like to thank the awesome DeAnna Kinney for giving me the chance to read and review her book. Now on to the actual review. This book was both similar and different from the first. Just like in the first book we have the toe-curling romance, the edge of the seat suspense and some pretty funny nicknames... ( Fido you know what I'm talking about :) ) However, in Charity rising things are taken to the next level. The romance is a bit hotter, the suspense.... is well a bit more suspenseful, also the stakes are much higher in this book and some of the things revealed will literally make your job drop. Levi and Charity are as cute as ever. Well, there was the whole issue with Levi acting crazy ,but that gets an amazing resolution and after that Levi and Charity are just the cutest couple. My one and only issue with this book was how Charity acted at times. I mean don't me wrong I love her but at times she was a bit childish and immature. I love and respect the fact that the author chose to keep her behavior steady and didn't pull one of those changes where the reading thinks the character got a brain transplant. However, there were times when Charity could have been more serious. Besides that one little flaw Charity was an amazing character. She really stood up in this book and fought for what she thought was right and what she believed in. Overall this is a great sequel that no devoted paranormal romance reader should let slip by without reading. (less)

As soon as I saw soul mates I was like baby come to mama and I am so glad I found this book. It was an entertaining and exciting read with romance that made your toes curl. It was just Ahhhh totally made me drool. Max was just the best hero and I loved that the book was told from his point of view. There are enough guy's perspective books out there. I loved how fast he was able to mature and really be there for Anna. He became the perfect mate and he so made the list of my book boyfriends. He was fair and he really lived up to the expectations put on him while. Anna was perfect and she totally brought out the best in Max. I loved how in this book she was the one looking fir her mate and not the other way around. I thought she was fair and she was a perfect match for Max. I loved how she handled situations and the sense of humor she had was subtle but great. The romance was so sweet. Granted it was insta-lovish but it was expertly done and I loved it. They cared so much for each other and their love matured both of them so much. Basically if you love a good romance don't miss this book.(less)

Like really I love Pagan and Dank so much so seeing Dank suffer almost made me flip. Also I hate love triangles. That's like my biggest pet peeve. I mean seriously the chick should just decide who she wants and not torture the males. Its not fair towards them. However, the love triangle her was one I approve. Since Pagan didn't remember Dank it made sense for her to have feeling for someone else. Also beyond that it wasn't even a love triangle. When Pagan was with Dank she was only interested in Dank. There was no going and hooking up with some other guys and trying to decide who she wants to be with. She was with Dank and that was that. Then something would happen she would fight with Dank and then she would become friends with Jay. Notice I don't say date. They didn't date it was like they were friends but they weren't a good couple. They were boring in every way and Pagan knew that which is why she didn't push a relationship. Okay so I actually really liked Pagan in this book. She was determined and she knew what she wanted and she really went for it. She wasn't weak and she was actually kind of fun. Gee was hilarious I loved that girl. She was the source of comic relief and it was great. Dank was Dank. Amazing in every way. I felt really bad when he was trying to win Pagan back because you could feel how much he needed her and how deeply he was in love with her. She was his everything and without her he would feel nothing and be nothing. When they were together it was great. Like I said before they were a great couple. The ending was just heart warming and it gave me like that warm fuzzy feeling and put a really big. goofy smile on my face. What can I say? I'm a total sucker for a happily ever after.(less)

Kiora is a great heroine who really struggles with the role she was forced to take on.Emane is an arrogant prince that I really want to meet. So let me actually start the review. I loved how this book focused on the history and background. We don't just have information showed at us, we discover it as we read. The writing was so detailed and amazing and I really felt like I was in the palaces and caves being described. I think that the vivid writing is one of the things that made this story so great. The plot took my breath away. It was so involved that to even talk about it would give so much away. The basic idea is that Kiora is the Solus and it's her job to make sure that Dralazar doesn't come to power and that the people in her kingdom stay safe. However, she won't have to do this alone she will have loyal friends and of course a Protector, whose job is to make sure she stays safe. The protector is like the other half of the Solus but not is a soul mate kind of way. It's more that the Protector contains a quality lacked by the Solus. It's a really great idea. I loved Kiora and Emane. At first their relationship was so funny with them being so mean to each other, but I really got to fall in love with them as they started falling in love with each other. Also to be fair they took a while to fall in love so no ista-love here :) Anyway if you like fantasy then this book is a must read. (less)

This is a typical paranormal romance book. If you're into chick-lit then this is the book for you. It's a sweet lovey dovey gooey kind of a romance. Now don't get me wrong there is definitely plot to this novel, but this isn't the kind of book where its all like action, sizzling chemistry or love hate relationship between lead hero and heroine, action, fighting, some crazy revelation that makes you pissed off, hot make out scene, laugh your butt off scene, revelation that makes go" that did not just happen" bawling hysterically like a weirdo while rolling into a ball on the floor sad scene and then tie it all of with a rip your hair out kid of cliffhanger. This isn't that type of book. It's much slower an much more calculated and the reveals aren't really shocking you're prepared for them. Now I'm not saying it's a bad thing there should be more easy going light books out there that don't make you experience a full spectrum of emotions that makes you're friends things you're losing it.This was a cute, slower paced book. Jessie is a good character. She is totally average but that makes her relate-able. You can connect with whats she's thinking and experiencing.I loved her relationship with Caleb. It was a typical soul-mate perfect couple relationship. It's the kind of relationship everyone wants and it was really cute reading it. Caleb is perfect. Literally. I don't think this guy has a single flaw. Nope I can't think of one. He was perfect. He wasn't a pushover but he wasn't one of those alpha you do as I say males. He was sweet and good looking and mannered and just the perfect gentleman. Like I might consider moving to North Carolina just to meet a guy like Caleb. He was totally great. Amber was probably my favorite character after Caleb. This girl was too funny. She's that one friend that can make any situation awkward or any conversation just weird. She's that girl that pretends to be tough just to avoid stupid people. She was a great friend and I loved how she handled things with a sense of humor. Go check out this light read it's great for people who like a good paranormal romance.(less)

Let's start with the main heroine. Persephone is one kick-ass heroine. I mean she was just amazing. She lost her family because of the dagger and now it's her duty to protect it. The fate of the entire world quite literally lies with her. She loses the dagger and demons come out and kill of the entire human race. So no pressure right? She was able to handle everything quite well. She knew what her duty was and she did her best to perform it. She was brave and totally loyal to her friends. She was willing to do anything to make sure they don't get hurt. She was stubborn but it suited her well and I mean she also had a killer sense of humor so she id definitely great. Jax, oh man where can I get one of those. I mean he just broke into her house and said that she needs her protection and he's going to live with her now. Isn't he just soooo dreamy?Yeah, yeah I know it sounds creepy but he makes it work so don't judge just go and read. He was a great warrior and was so protective of Persephone. In short he was a totally swoon worthy character. Now for the part that annoyed me a bit. The love triangle, only she never meets the second guy but she is convinced she loves him because she always meets him in her dreams. Now let me just say he was creepy actually I think creepy doesn't cover he was just a terrible character. Also I knew right away who he was it was obvious the things he was saying plus the events happening where just screaming what was going to happen. Our character didn't figure it out though, which I understand love makes you blind sometimes. The plot was good except the part that I mentioned above. This is definitely a book to read if you like a good paranormal romance.(less)

Also it has a happily ever after ending so that just made my heart bloom. It starts off tight where the last book left off, with Grace trying to escape from Gabriel ( she is in a purgatory of sorts while her body is in a coma) she is carrying the realization that Shane is her angel and even more, she now knows that he tried to forget her. She gets captured by Gabriel and is saved by Shane as her angel who tells her that this is the last life. After which he walks away from her. Hurt and upset by the fact that the love of her 2,000 year life just left her Grace decided to live her life. The only problem is that Shane, the man whose body used to host her angel also the only man she had feelings for besides her angel isn't letting her get over him that easily. Okay so lets see this book was better and hotter and so much more tension filled than the first. I totally loved it. I have to admit I liked Grace a lot more in this one. She was willing to live her life and she is just a more awesome version of herself. Now let's move on to the reason I read this book and you are most likely considering reading this book because of Shane. I mean lets face he is the reason I love this book. Okay so he was a bit of a jerk here, but it was because he was being jealous and he really cared for Grace so his moments of douchebagginess are acceptable. When they finally get together though they are such a cute couple. Gabriel just annoyed me and I wanted ti whack him throughout the entire book. Yeah thats all I say about him. In short read this book it was great. And it ends in happily ever after so come on how can you not read it? (less)

He is the most amazing guy ever. He is so sweet caring and protective and well he made the book for me. Like honestly I could go on and on and on with how great he is and how much I love him but I think I can make my point just by saying that Dank hot as in hell wishes it could be this hot kind of hot. Pagan overall was a great character and I loved how she would rather suffer then have her friends suffer because of her. She's a selfless heroine and I loved that about her. Her chemistry with Dank was great, but I mean really if your boyfriend is a deity of death who happens to be so hot he sets off smoke alarms by walking into a room you better have great chemistry. Leif annoyed me. Like why doesn't he take his voodoo prince ass back to his native world whatever he calls it and just leave Pagan alone. He claims he loves her but really if he loves her why would he make her suffer and do something she doesn't want to do. That't not love but I was happy with the decision he made in then end. Why am I still talking ? Go buy this book and experience Dank's hotness for yourself. P.S. I hope you liked my Dank hotness puns.(less)

Also I would like to say thanks to the light people in my town for getting my power back in only a few days after Sandy. I only lost power for a few days compared to people who lost much more than power. Otherwise I would be reading by the candlelight and well not reviewing anything. Okay so the blurb makes you think this book is going to be about angels and I guessed you could argue that in some messed up way it is about angels since blah blah blah...I'm just going to say this book is not about angles makes it so much easier than trying to clarify the plot and having the risk of spoilers. The plot in this book is very involved so I don't even think I'm going to talk to much about it. Our hero and notice I say here, it's a guy!!!! I know most books are written from a girls perspective and honestly I have no idea why but reading from a guys perspective was like the greatest thing ever. Well it is for a girl anyway. It's like getting inside information on everything. Okay so onto Caleb himself. He was a pretty funny guy and some of the things going through his head were pretty hilarious. He is a but clueless when it comes to girls but then again let's face it most guys are. I loved the fact that he was honest and totally loyal to his friend. I loved how he was so willing to fight for Gia. Gia kind of annoyed me a bit. She palyed hot and cold a lot. Although I totally get why she did it. What I loved about her was how willing she was to sacrifice herself just so Caleb could live. This book isn't really heavy on the romance side even though the romance was the drive behind some of the events. The plot. Definitely great part of this novel. Unfortunately, I can't really talk about because it's kind of spoilery. Also it has sort of a cliffhanger. So I'll leave you with this: Who is the Dark Seraphine? (less)

It was constantly stalking my life basically. My friends talked about it kept popping up on my recommendations basically it was everywhere. I however, refused to read this book for the longest time because everyone was talking about the love triangle and whether they're team Russel or Reed. Since words can't describe how much I hate love triangles I refused to read this book until yesterday when I was really bored and this boo popped up again so I decided I'll give it a chance. I mean if you take away the love triangle this is exactly my type of book. And to be honest I actually really enjoyed reading this book. Let's start with Evie. She's an easy going, funny, laid back character. It was easy to like her. She was willing to sacrifice herself to save someone she loves and she was willing to suffer so that someone else won't have to. Being honest her selflessness even started to annoy me a bit because she was almost too nice to everyone and by being nice she would either end up hurting herself or Reed. Reed. I love this guy. I mean in the beginning I wasn't his biggest fan but he really cleaned up his act and changed by the end of the novel. I was totally in love him. He realizes that he has a job to do and in the very beginning he wasn't the hero that would sacrifice everything for some girl he met literally two hours ago. He grew to love Evie and I think they are perfect for each other. Okay so now let's move on to the soulmate. Russel was great he was perfect southern gentleman the type of guy every girl wants but he isn't was Evie wants. I mean let's face it's obvious who she is going to choose. The reader knows it, Evie knows it deep down, honestly I'm betting even Russel knew he was going to get stuck in the friend zone. Frankly, the only person who didn't know she was going to choose Reed was Reed. It's sad I know. I didn't mind the love triangle here. This was a well executed love triangle. So if you're going to pull one try and do this type of love triangle. It wasn't annoying because the heroine didn't play with the feelings of the male hero's. She more or less made it crystal clear who she wants and she didn't play with their feelings. I give props to the author for pulling that off. It takes skill to be able to show conflict in feelings of the heroine without making it seem like she has a split personality disorder. The plot was great and in all honesty I didn't know who the villain was until it was actually revealed and even then it was a shock. This is great book that I would recommend to fans of paranormal romance. Go get this book you wont regret it even if you're a love triangle hater like me.(less)

Thanks so much! This books picks up right where Love Lines left off. Christian is missing and Eileen and friends are thinking of ways they can save him. Eileen and Evan travel to France but will what they do be enough to save Christian and more importantly will they be able to survive the choices they had to make to get Christian back? I'm not sure how I feel about Eileen in this book. For about half the book she really didn't play a role as the leading character. I understand why that happened she was lost, confused, in despair and terribly missing Christian, but I wish she would play a bigger role in the beginning of the book. Now, don't get me wrong she did play a role in some events and there were times when she went against what people told her to do. However, there were times in the book when everybody was making decisions except for Eileen. Now that aside, for the second half of the book she was amazing. Her interaction with Christian once they found him was so sweet and I just wanted to go give her a hug. She was hurting so bad. She is loyal to her friends and I loved how much she was willing to risk to give even someone as annoying as Evan alive. Speaking of Evan, he was probably my most favorite character. The chapters alternated between Eileen and Evan so I loved getting into Evans head. We learn more about his history and my opinion really changed about him since the last book. We see past the silly boy with almost no worries. Evan as a character is deep and he is very protective of Eileen and he would literally give up anything for her. I loved his perspective even if he knows how to get on everyone's nerves. Even though Christian is missing for a good half of this book he still deserves his own paragraph. I mean it's Christian he has me swooning with his smile alone. He suffered a lot but I'm happy that in the end him and Eileen are happy. They are a great couple and their love is pure and just amazing. I just wish there was more of it. While in the first book there was an overload of romance and just those moments that put a giant smile on your face this book had a lot more action and reveals. It focused more on the back story to the bond and the history of the main characters. It also revealed who wants to kill Eileen and just how long they have been plotting. There are a lot of surprises in this book. My only complaint was that sometimes I got lost with all the reveals. There was a lot going on so sometimes I just got lost in all the information being thrown at me. This isn't a major issue in the book though and I mean it's pretty common sometimes the author knows where they're going and it just takes longer for the reader to catch on. Overall this was a good sequel that revealed a lot of much needed and important information and let us understand the characters better.(less)

There was no questioning it. I needed it. And lucky for me I didn't have to wait to long to get this amazing, out of this world, gut wrenching, laugh your butt off funny and unbelievable sweet read. Cassie was amazing. She was funny, down to earth and just a cool heroine. I loved how she wanted to find some good in Trik even though that stubborn elf kept on trying to convince her there was nothing good about him. She was sweet and she was just innocent. That's why the beginning of this book confused me, but in a good way. You know how books usually run, the innocent heroine falls for the dark, brooding and mysterious hero that everyone thinks is evil or he should be evil, but the hero is actually good. Like the hero will fight demons and try to save the world and do good and well I guess just do hero stuff. We're used to that, because we think that our pure heroine deserves a pure hero, good should be with good right? Well, that's not exactly the story here. Trik is evil. He tortured, killed, cares about no one(until he met Cassie at least), self centered, gets what he wants and doesn't care who pays for it, Oh and he is the dark elf which basically makes him SUPEREVIL!!!!!! (if my description wasn't good enough) . So why does he get our innocent, sweet heroine? How can she love a man who claims that he loves being evil? I think that's one of the many things that make this book so amazing. It's the different take on what love is. You can love someone no matter what their past was like. Okay so with that little rant out of the way let's move on to something more interesting and by interesting I mean hot. Like Trik hot. This guy had me fanning myself with my kindle, can I just say. His devilish smirks and dirty remarks just... ugh they made my day .However, beneath the bad boy persona there was such a sweet, caring guy that I though my heart would melt. He loves Cassie so much and was just so willing to change for her. I loved their relationship. It was perfect, they fought and things were hard at times but they understood each other and always were willing to compromise or forgive. It was great. As for the plot? Well there was a part where my kindle almost learned to fly because I was so agitated. This is the kind of book that keeps you on your toes. First you're all happy and smiling and feeling all warm and fuzzy and the next thing you know you're throwing the book across the room in a fit of rage, then you're all happy again for a little while before Quinn Loftis decides to rip out you're heart and have you sobbing into a pillow. But just when you think all is lost the storm clouds pass away and you're all happy again. Then end the book with a snappy remark and you have me thinking that I'm missing some pages. Not because there's that killer cliffhanger or anything but just because you don't want to believe that a book that good just ended. There are always those books that when they end you feel like you lost a friend. Yeah this is definitely one of those books.(less)
