This book was I'm usually worried that the second book of a series will be bad, but this book was great. It carried on where the first book left off. This book was filled with action and of course we cant forget the romance. In the first book Savannah was always getting protected by Tristan, but in this book she was strong for herself. She had to deal with her body changing and her break-up, but she was still strong. I also grew to like Tristan even more, if that's possible. He never gave up on his relaitionship with Savannah. Although it did annoy me how throughout the book he strung another girl along. I also loved the best friend, Anne, she was definetly kick-ass in this book. her Ex-boyfriend Ron turns out to know about the Clann. We were also introduced to a few new characters. The Clann and the Vampires also had a lot going on, which definetly kept the book interesting. The ending was satisfying, but at the same time left me dying for more. I can not wait until the next installation of this series. This copy was provided by the publisher though Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you....more
This is first retelling of Frankenstein that i have read and i was not disappointed. This book was amazing. I don't know the exact story so i kind ofThis is first retelling of Frankenstein that i have read and i was not disappointed. This book was amazing. I don't know the exact story so i kind of just let this one unfold before my eyes. At the beginning of the book, Emma is still grieving the loss of her boyfriend, Daniel. A few pages in Emma meets Alex, a new boy in school. From the moment they meet Emma spots confusing similarities between Alex and Daniel. And the story takes off from there. The thing about retelling is that they're they're in danger of being predictable, but this book wasn't all predictable. Some things i was able to predict like the ending because, well it's the ending. But there were also some twists that surprised me. this book was filled with raw love, heartache, loss and emotion. It was haunting, romantic and creepy all rolled in one and the adaption to the original storyline was smooth. I recommend this to anyone that likes to read. however there are a few scenes that were a very disturbing and creepy. Thank you to NetGalley and and the publisher for provinding this ARC

Whew, now that i got that off my back we can go on to talk about how awesome this book is. I do have to confess though, it did feel a bit weird to have the hots for Ethan. I remember reading The Iron knight and picturing a cute little boy. Anyway, there was one little thing I didn't really enjoy but we'll get to that later. Now, let's talk about the newly grown up and very much hot Ethan. He's moving to a new town and just want to be left alone. Unfortunately it isn't long before people are gossiping about his shady past. Ethan is your typical bad boy. But he only goes through that to protect the very few people that get close to him. Although throughout the book he does open up a bit.
Along with trying to disappear in school he is trying to hide from the Fey. And he manages fine until a new type of fey called the Forgotten appear and start sucking other fey dry of their glamour so they could stop themselves from fading into nothingness. And when his new friend half fey friend is kidnapped by them ethan is forced to go back to Nevernever.
Ethan is a great character. He does have his down moments, who can blame him. He only act like a jerk to keep people from getting too close to him, so they wont get hurt. Only this time, a certain little miss bossypants manages to get past his wall and really gets to know him. Mackenzie St. James, better known as kenzie is the love interest. I really liked her and especially how stubborn she was. but she did kind of remind me of Meghan back in the day. Speaking of Meghan we did get to see her, but only twice, which kind of disappointed me but I'm learning to accept the fact that this book is about the new trio. But, i do have to admit it was pretty fun seeing Puck, Ash and Meghan again. Also she has a son, keirran, who is the third person in what i like to call the new trio. Kierran reminded me a little of both Meghan and Ash. At first i thought there would be a love triangle between the three of then: Ethan, kierran and kenzie but was very happy to see that that was not the case. keirran had his own love interest. The one thing that did bother me a teeny bit was that there's a little twist at the end with kenzie that I was weirdly able to predict. But I got over it.
The ending was pretty good and it totally left me wanting for more, i cant wait to read the next installment in the series. But i do strongly recommend reading The Iron Fey before reading this so you can actually understand what's happening.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harlequin for sending me this ARC! ...more
