I got it on a whim in Philadelphia because I had a 3 hour drive back to school, and I finished it on infrequent trips between school and home. It was a great way to pass the time because the writing was simple enough that I didn't have to think too hard (while driving) yet I was engaged and never bored. In other words, I'm not entire sure how well it reads at home on the couch, but I know it's a great collection to listen to on long trips. (less)

However! -- a cursory glance through this book reveals a deep and emotional story that is worth reading on its own merit, if not also to better understand the true meaning behind the popular culture surrounding Frankenstein and his monster. This is the only one of two I completed (lulz, the other being The Hound of the Baskervilles) but here we are. It's not bad, but got a little boring at times, and I kind of had to force my way through it. (less)
