With it becoming a movie and all, everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. At least it's an amazing bandwagon to jump onto. Honestly, what a beautiful story. I feel like I really don't have to say much. My review will be no different than the millions of others who have said pretty much everything I would want to say. If you want a heartfelt, amazing journey to go on, then pick this book up and start reading. Just don't forget the kleenex okay?
This is probably one of the most emotional, heart wrenching, and beautiful books I have ever read.
I have read a few rare books that have made me feelThis is probably one of the most emotional, heart wrenching, and beautiful books I have ever read.
I have read a few rare books that have made me feel so many real emotions. Even fewer that have actually made me shed real tears down my face and this was definitely one of them. I could barely put this book down and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to read it. I just happened to decide last minute with my cousin to grab a starbucks at the closest book store and on a whim thought "hey, let's buy a new book" -- how ironic that fate was?
"Fate" and "everything happens for a reason", has a whole new meaning after reading this book. Camryn and Andrew put "soulmates" on a whole new level. I don't think two people could ever be more perfect for each other, nor do I think they could have met at a more crucial time. How quickly your life can change in a split second decision, you didn't think you were going to make. How fate can bring two people together by just getting onto a bus?? That's exactly what happened with Cam and Andrew. I fell in love with both of them almost as hard as they fell in love with each other.
My heart strings and emotions were so high by the last few chapters I didn't think I was able to function. Tears, yes real tears, streamed down my face with an ending like that.
If you haven't read this book yet, I highly suggest you get to it! It has to be the most beautiful book I've read this year and it's one of those books I will thinking about for weeks.

First off - there is just as much action and craziness packed into these 400+ pages then you can think of. Again one insane battle or run in with the evil Brennus, happens right after the next. But, in the small short moments we can kind of take a breath, we learn some fascinating new information about Evie and Russell's past.
-- Some spoilers ahead --
So we meet some very interesting characters in this book. One being Evie's so-called "rock star" father. I'm having mixed feelings about him. I think he truly means to protect Evie and help her, but at the same time I feel like he's hiding something from her. Something that she may not like. I'm hoping the 5th book will give some insight on this relationship. Then there is Xzavier. Um okay, how do I even try and understand him and his past with Evie. Clearly he is a huge part of Evie's life and past lives and maybe even going back as far as her beginning of existence. So will Evie really learn exactly how much she loved him? Or if he's truly being honest that they really were in love, once upon a time?? Sadly, I kinda feel for him and although I love Reed so much I'm really torn if it's right for Evie not to remember Xzavier and their history together at all?
Brennus was someone I used to be torn about. I liked his dark, mysterious, sexy way about him. I had a soft spot for him, as I'm sure Evie did too. Now? Pfftt!! I feel like reaching through and killing him myself!! But honestly? The way this book ended REALLY pissed me off. Yes that's right, Brennus is not dead. FFS people!! I'm sorry but him and his evil behaviour has gone on WAY to long and it needs to stop. It's dragging on far to long. This is the main purpose I did not feel that it deserved the full 5 stars. You had the perfect opportunity to get him out of their lives and still have other "threats" to worry about. But no, somehow he's still here! I do feel the series needs a fifth book though because their is so much information and history I want to learn about Evie's father and Xzavier, but it didn't need Brennus again. His story is getting repetitive. Also, I really want to learn about Russell's new aspire Anya. So many questions need to be answered. So with that, I give the book 4 stars because it still had me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. :)...more

I loved the 3rd instalment of the Premonition series. This book never slowed down one bit. From the start to the finish I felt like anything was going to come out and say "BOO!" And it pretty much did. Evie is still running for her life from seriously the whole world and beyond. We meet more crazy creatures and legends when we thought we had met them all. Each being a little bit more dangerous then the next. The fight for Reed and Evie to be together is pushed to the highest limit and it almost left like we truly would lose their relationship forever.
One thing makes me feel like I have turned to the dark side. I loooooved Brennus. Seriously something so dark and sexy about him. I still love Reed but is it bad to say that I wouldn't have minded Evie being stuck with a certain problem she was cornered too? One predicament that I really don't want to give away so I will just leave it at that.
Again we have a few chapters in Russell's POV and this time, I really enjoyed it. I felt like those POV's needed to be shared this time around. More drama, and seriously intense situations happen constantly in this book like no one was able to take a breath. LOVE THAT!
Finally a book in this series shines with 5 bright stars and I'm hoping the next one will do the same.' ...more

I really enjoyed the second book in the Premonition series. For the most part, I had no complaints. The action was great, the emotion was fantastic, and the story continued to get more intense. There were small things that bugged me a little bit.
Russell. He is someone who I grew towards a lot more in this book then in the first. He has changed so much, but on so many different good levels. I loved him more in every chapter. We get to see a couple chapters in Russell's POV, which I didn't really like to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I liked being in Russell's head for a little while but it was just for a brief moment. Either he should have had more chapters, or none at all.
Evie. The whole series is called Premonition, so why didn't we feel and see those premonition's more? We got a glance or two at the nightmares she is always having but it didn't feel like it mattered in this story. For the theme to be her premonition's I wanted to get into her head more and visualize those nightmares as much as she did. Evie is still extremely badass and still shows her human emotions which I thought was great because I don't want her to completely change and us not have that piece of Evie we all love and knew from the very beginning. This girl attracts everyone. Seriously. Can I be like Evie? Just for one day? Must be exhausting getting all the attention isn't it Evie?
Reed. No words needed for this guy. The only downfall I had was that we didn't get to spend as much time with him as we did in the first book. Reed is amazing. Evie and Reed test their relationship to the max and the outcome? Well I'll leave that out so I don't ruin anything ;)
Enough chit-chat. I need to move onto book 3. :)...more

She was strong willed and confident without coming off as a bitch. Once the story starting taking off I feel like she didn't have the reaction I expected once she realized something was different. How could she play it cool like it was some sort of game? I would have freaked out and demanded answers without backing down. Plus, I'm pretty sure I would have been more freaked out about it. Isn't she suppose to be super stubborn?? To me this book is really a love it or hate it type of story. There is no in between with this one. So at the beginning I will admit I was ready to give it 2 maybe 3 stars but I pushed through it. I hate putting a book down and not giving it a chance, so I kept going with it. I'm super happy I did because it honestly turned out incredible. Reed is outstanding! We can all move to the Reed fan club cause everyone knows he's amazing. I love the twists and the turns and the craziness that finally unfolds when Evie truly learns everything (well mostly) everything she needs to know. So honestly I say really give this series a shot. It will either surprise you, or disappoint you. So let yourself make that decision and jump into the crazy world of Evie! ...more

Like I said for the cover of Secret, they are changing the characters from the original models on the first couple books in the series. I was kind of upset about Nick not looking like the same person, and this is NOT Michael either (if you look back to the very first novella about Michael) BUT I will say this Michael is waaaaaaay sexier. *drool*
Ohhhh Michael <3 *sigh* Definitely saving the BEST for last. Michael has been my absolute favorite since Elemental. Yahooooo!...more

Behind all the drama, action and paranormal aspects to this book. There was so much reality that took place. So many real life experiences and heartbreaks that people go through every single day. I seriously couldn't have loved this book any more then I already do.
With Nick going through something millions of people go through, it was a nice break from all the elemental and guide nonsense. I always loved Nick but even after his novella when we learn the truth about Nick, I fell for him just a little bit more. Hell, I fell more in love with all the Merrick's. The support and love shown in those brothers made me feel SO proud.
Although I am super excited to read Micheal's book, because he is my favorite, this one almost matched it. Nick out of everyone really deserved all this happiness in his life. (view spoiler)[Even if it took to almost the end of the book to get it. (hide spoiler)]
We learn a lot about the boys past. Things that happened with Emily and Micheal, and even things about Tyler and his family. (view spoiler)[I becoming a big team Tyler fan. Don't judge me. He's perfect for Quinn (hide spoiler)] I also am happy that Quinn is getting support from friends she thought she had lost. It was about time that her "at home" issues are finally being dealt with.
Kemmerer did such an amazing job and really showing us readers that even though we may think we have problems, and although we may think we can't get through them we can. We always can. Plus we need to remember that sometimes our problems may not be as bad as others. The beautiful story opened my eyes to that.
I don't think I will ever be ready to let the Merrick brothers go. Love, love, love, LOVE.
Everyone say "HORRAY!!" Love me some Niiiiick :D["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more

What raw, amazing feelings in this book. It's about time we get a hot sexy twin especially, being so human and so realistic that it made me all warm and fuzzy inside. We all talk about these kind of guys we miss the opportunity with and think - "ah, he's either married or gay." Isn't that the truth most of the time?
This novella was perfect. Seriously, great! I now look forward to Nick's book even more now.
If anyone remembers my review of Sweet Evil then you will remember just how heartbroken and sad I was that my (okay Anna's)Ohhhhhhh Kaidan *sighhhhhh*
If anyone remembers my review of Sweet Evil then you will remember just how heartbroken and sad I was that my (okay Anna's) hot british boyfriend was gone. The huge feeling of wanting something even more when you know you can't have it. Yeah, that seems to sum up Kaidan and Anna perfectly. So how did this book help make that better??
At first, it didn't help at all. It sat there and taunted me, pulled my heartstrings, and sometimes even felt like it punched me in the face. Eventually, the answers and the romance we REALLY wanted finally surfaces. You thought I loved Kaidan before? Wow -- turn that into a love X10.
The Dukes are still pricks, the nephs are still fighting for their lives, and romance and drama still lingers in between. I was not disappointed in anything this story brought forward. Bonds grew stronger, friendships became stronger and the will to fight became stronger.
The ending really sets everything up for the final book and I know we won't be disappointed.
Guess I will have to wait for my sexy british boyfriend all over again. *pouts*...more

Truly awesome! Most of us have been waiting for what felt like centuries for Origin to come out, so we could find out what was going to happen after Daemon lost Katy to Daedalus, which was probably one of the biggest cliff hangers in years. What else were we looking forward to? The fact that there would now be Daemon's POV as well. Normally, I always feel like that could ruin a book but I haven't been wanting to get into Daemon's head for awhile now. I mean, who doesn't want to know what he's thinking!?!? I was right, I loved seeing his POV.
Now to the story line of the book. Honestly, I wasn't quite sure what I was expecting to happen for Daemon to try and rescue Katy back from the evil Daedalus, but I really didn't think it would go down the way that it did. It seemed to....easy?? I don't even know if that is the right word. I just felt like I built up so much suspense in Opal I thought the break in/rescue would be more... off the charts?! Don't get me wrong, by the time the real "break out" plan came into play, the action was starting to happen.
We finally get the inside look at Area 51 and behind the actions of what Daedalus is really trying to accomplish. It was kind of sketchy. I didn't know what were lies, what were truth, or if all of it was a big fat lie, or all extremely true. Katy had to endure some pretty horrible things, but we all were expecting that right? I don't know, honestly I thought the first half (view spoiler)[okay maybe everything until they broke out (hide spoiler)] was kind of slow and less exciting. I was kind of disappointed. Maybe I just set myself up for so much more craziness because of how Opal ended, but I didn't feel satisfied. *sigh* bad right?
By the last 20% or so, the book finally took off. Not only did the real action and craziness get started, but Katy and Daemon reminded us how amazingly in love they are. I felt like re-reading just those few chapters over again just to feel the warm fuzzy's around my heart :)Katy and Daemon truly are the greatest couple out there. I loved the little tid-bit of Sweet Evil that came out into the book as well. I think I actually said "that is awesome!" out loud. Daemon and Kaidan are both extremely swoon worthy so I think it couldn't have been more fitting. ;)
We met some awesome new characters as well. Archer, one of the guards at Daedalus is one of them. We all know how hard it was to trust Blake, and I'm sure all of us trusted him at one point so of course I had my doubts about Archer. Btw, (view spoiler)[I thought it was awesome how Katy finally killed Blake out of the hurt and anger she had towards him, but I also thought it happened way to quickly and way to abruptly. Blake deserved a slow and painful death. (hide spoiler)] lame lame lame!!
We also learn the true meaning behind the title of "Origin" and the new species that no one was expecting. You thought you were worried about Arum?? Worried about badass Luxen?? Think again. There is something else you should be much more afraid of!
The ending didn't have a huge cliff hanger like in the last book, which in a way I was kind of relieved about. No one wants to endure that much pain and heartbreak and have to wait for months and months to help fill the whole in their heart! But none the less, it still ended with the set up of something out-of-this-world (no pun intended lol) about to go down. So unfortunately, your still going to be ansy on getting your hands on the 5th book in the series.

I was so wrong. How could you do this to us Jennifer!?!?!
I can't even fully review right now. My thoughts need to process.
Update: Okay after trying to fathom what just happened, after I put the book down last night, my brain seriously wouldn't stop running. **Cries** seriously my heart is breaking. My hormones can't take something like this right now (I am currently pregnant) you might as well just shoot Bambi right in front of me cause that's how I'm feeling -- no worse.
The chemisty and love for both Daemon and Katy reached the ultimate high in this book. You thought it was great in Onyx?! No way -- the love has finally surfaced for real.
I felt myself smile with these two and their amazing bond, and yes I have fallen for Daemon just as much as everyone else has. Then I suddenly remembed the ending **cries again**
I don't know how my emotions or hormones are honestly going to get through the next 5 months. I'm dieing inside. Things must change, they have to. I don't even want to get into the full story because honestly?? I just can't. Maybe once I read the next book I can come back to this review with my heartbreak and emotions aside so I'm not distracted.
Oh one more thing -- and please excuse the horrible language I am about to let out. (view spoiler)[FUCK YOU BLAKE YOU HORRIBLE SON OF A BITCH! I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (hide spoiler)]
Okay I feel a little bit better getting that out now :)

I looooveeedd this book!! A great sequel to Obsidian.
(view spoiler)[First off, I need to say that there were some things that kind of disappointed me. It was predictable in some aspects and I hate that. Blake, we all knew he wasn't trust worthy, nor was he a good guy. I pegged him right from the beginning. As for Will, I definitely knew he was NO GOOD since the first book. So when he was all revealed as a villain and I'm sure most were like "OMG SAY IT ISN'T SO?!?" I was going "UGH, KNEW IT" It's always the smaller characters who you don't really talk about much who seem so nice blah blah blah, that end up being the "shocker bad guys" -- for once I would like a book to REALLY surprise me. (hide spoiler)]
Daemon.....*sigh* -- alright, he totally won me over in this book. Although I was slowly starting to have a soft spot from him at the end of the first, he really stole my heart in this one. So welcome Daemon. Welcome to my list of swoon worthy - love machines. He was like a new person in this book. & one that I really really loved. I think there was a moment on the Thanksgiving scene where I really did feel like shedding a tear and thought "crap, why can't guys like you REALLY exist" haha. Now although he still had his "jackass jerk" moments, he grew on me alot.
Katy, I still admire you and I still think your awesome. But, she lost a little bit of her "badass" attitude in the book. I'll admit the whole mutation thing didn't really help, but I felt she was a lot more vulnerable in this book, where in the first she really stood her own. Don't worry, I still love her though. She really showed her true emotions for Daemon in this one and I'm glad nothing was held back anymore. I admit, even in the moments where she figured out some crazy new thing about someone/something she told someone, RIGHT AWAY! Biggest annoyance in books where someone finds out this huge piece of the puzzle and they think it's no big deal to not tell anyone for a little while and then BAM! Your hurt or kidnapped or something and no one is able to help you because you DIDN'T OPEN YOUR DAMN MOUTH! So thank you Katy, thank you for finally being a character to tell people (the important ones) you found out some big piece of the puzzle that really mattered. :):)
So I have probably ranted long enough. So while I go off and immediately pick up Opal everyone else who hasn't started this series better get on it!! ;)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more

Update: Yeah this book rocked. Although most of it was very similar to other reads (we all know which ones make that top list) I tried to get over it because I knew the whole paranormal aspect of it would be different then pretty much all other paranormal books that I have read.
I mean aliens?! Really?! When I first found out what they were I won't lie I was actually kinda disappointed. Really, Aliens?!?! I kind of did an eye roll and continued on my way.
So yes, I totally take that eye roll back. Once you heard the complete story, the history etc I was intrigued. Armentrout did an amazing job with this one!!
Characters - Yeah I always have to get into them. Dee - Yeah can I please have a best friend like her? A spunky, excited, sweetheart that only made you smile.
Daemon - Alright ladies and gents, before you go all "OH NO YOU DIDN'T!" on me let me explain. Unless you have extremely low standards -- he is an asshole plain and simple. Any guy with that much cockiness and bad attitude would be a rug under my feet for all I care. Waste of skin to me -- or in this case, a waste of bright light. I'd rather sit in the dark. BUT -- yes calm down there is a "but" he kinda grew on me. For once we saw those "good" sides of him which actually yes, made me like him a little bit more. Who am I trying to kid, I love the bad boys and hes definitely one of those. Plus being sexy gives him bonus points haha. Just wish he was little less jerky in the beginning.
Katy -- You go girl, that's all I can say. For maybe the first time in a fictional book, I have seen a girl actually stand up for herself against a meany like Daemon. There were moments where I had to clap and cheer and spread some womenly praise for her actions. I like you Katy Swartz -- I like you very much ;)
In the end -- I picked up this book and pretty much didn't stop reading it until the end. It was great, really great and I don't know why I have waited so long to start this series.
I will give myself a slap on the hand so you don't have too.
Besides, I may already be half-way into the second so yeah -- I'm with the rest of you fangirls about swooning over Daemon. He's proven himself ;)
