Okay. So I may have a hard time reviewing this book because my feelings are kind of all over the map. So I don't even really know how to start. Nora. MOkay. So I may have a hard time reviewing this book because my feelings are kind of all over the map. So I don't even really know how to start. Nora. My dear, dear Nora. I wanted to slap you, yell at you and shake you like a martini. As I had stated in my updates, you reminded me of the stupid, brainless idiots in horror movies who go into the dark basement or hole WHEN YOU KNOW THERE IS TROUBLE!!! Ugh, you should have been listening to the meaningful words of others to stay quiet! Grrrrr.
So I have to admit the first half of the book was so pointless and I was actually pretty disappointed. Felt like this book could have been a novella as the first half was literally all filler of information we already knew. Then we finally hit a Celine Dion moment and everything came back into place.
Patch (Jev) whoever you want to call him was actually one of my favorite characters this time around. I have had a small soft spot for him in the previous books, but I think my feelings really grew for him the most in this book. :) it's about time!
The action, twists and turns, and surprises were the best in this book as well in my opinion. And the last quarter of the book is what really made me give it the 4 stars. So no point in stopping now right?

My last comment was from 2 FREAKING YEARS AGO?!?!?!?! Come on Bartol. Please stop doing this to us. We get you are writing other series, but before you make those ones go any further you really need to finish this series so you can stop making us go crazy. If this goes on any longer I don't even know if I will be able to continue with this series. You can only read the previous books so many times before you give up not knowing what is going to happen next. So please, for the love of god bring your attention and amazing writing skills back into this world. We miss it way to much!!
Okay so this book clearly isn't going to be released in 2013. Can we have an actual release date so we're not going crazy over here?! :)...more

I loved the 3rd instalment of the Premonition series. This book never slowed down one bit. From the start to the finish I felt like anything was going to come out and say "BOO!" And it pretty much did. Evie is still running for her life from seriously the whole world and beyond. We meet more crazy creatures and legends when we thought we had met them all. Each being a little bit more dangerous then the next. The fight for Reed and Evie to be together is pushed to the highest limit and it almost left like we truly would lose their relationship forever.
One thing makes me feel like I have turned to the dark side. I loooooved Brennus. Seriously something so dark and sexy about him. I still love Reed but is it bad to say that I wouldn't have minded Evie being stuck with a certain problem she was cornered too? One predicament that I really don't want to give away so I will just leave it at that.
Again we have a few chapters in Russell's POV and this time, I really enjoyed it. I felt like those POV's needed to be shared this time around. More drama, and seriously intense situations happen constantly in this book like no one was able to take a breath. LOVE THAT!
Finally a book in this series shines with 5 bright stars and I'm hoping the next one will do the same.' ...more

First off - there is just as much action and craziness packed into these 400+ pages then you can think of. Again one insane battle or run in with the evil Brennus, happens right after the next. But, in the small short moments we can kind of take a breath, we learn some fascinating new information about Evie and Russell's past.
-- Some spoilers ahead --
So we meet some very interesting characters in this book. One being Evie's so-called "rock star" father. I'm having mixed feelings about him. I think he truly means to protect Evie and help her, but at the same time I feel like he's hiding something from her. Something that she may not like. I'm hoping the 5th book will give some insight on this relationship. Then there is Xzavier. Um okay, how do I even try and understand him and his past with Evie. Clearly he is a huge part of Evie's life and past lives and maybe even going back as far as her beginning of existence. So will Evie really learn exactly how much she loved him? Or if he's truly being honest that they really were in love, once upon a time?? Sadly, I kinda feel for him and although I love Reed so much I'm really torn if it's right for Evie not to remember Xzavier and their history together at all?
Brennus was someone I used to be torn about. I liked his dark, mysterious, sexy way about him. I had a soft spot for him, as I'm sure Evie did too. Now? Pfftt!! I feel like reaching through and killing him myself!! But honestly? The way this book ended REALLY pissed me off. Yes that's right, Brennus is not dead. FFS people!! I'm sorry but him and his evil behaviour has gone on WAY to long and it needs to stop. It's dragging on far to long. This is the main purpose I did not feel that it deserved the full 5 stars. You had the perfect opportunity to get him out of their lives and still have other "threats" to worry about. But no, somehow he's still here! I do feel the series needs a fifth book though because their is so much information and history I want to learn about Evie's father and Xzavier, but it didn't need Brennus again. His story is getting repetitive. Also, I really want to learn about Russell's new aspire Anya. So many questions need to be answered. So with that, I give the book 4 stars because it still had me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. :)...more
Ahhh! Just when you think things couldn't possibly get anymore screwed up, it does.
I really enjoyed the second book in the Premonition series. For thAhhh! Just when you think things couldn't possibly get anymore screwed up, it does.
I really enjoyed the second book in the Premonition series. For the most part, I had no complaints. The action was great, the emotion was fantastic, and the story continued to get more intense. There were small things that bugged me a little bit.
Russell. He is someone who I grew towards a lot more in this book then in the first. He has changed so much, but on so many different good levels. I loved him more in every chapter. We get to see a couple chapters in Russell's POV, which I didn't really like to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I liked being in Russell's head for a little while but it was just for a brief moment. Either he should have had more chapters, or none at all.
Evie. The whole series is called Premonition, so why didn't we feel and see those premonition's more? We got a glance or two at the nightmares she is always having but it didn't feel like it mattered in this story. For the theme to be her premonition's I wanted to get into her head more and visualize those nightmares as much as she did. Evie is still extremely badass and still shows her human emotions which I thought was great because I don't want her to completely change and us not have that piece of Evie we all love and knew from the very beginning. This girl attracts everyone. Seriously. Can I be like Evie? Just for one day? Must be exhausting getting all the attention isn't it Evie?
Reed. No words needed for this guy. The only downfall I had was that we didn't get to spend as much time with him as we did in the first book. Reed is amazing. Evie and Reed test their relationship to the max and the outcome? Well I'll leave that out so I don't ruin anything ;)
Enough chit-chat. I need to move onto book 3. :)...more

She was strong willed and confident without coming off as a bitch. Once the story starting taking off I feel like she didn't have the reaction I expected once she realized something was different. How could she play it cool like it was some sort of game? I would have freaked out and demanded answers without backing down. Plus, I'm pretty sure I would have been more freaked out about it. Isn't she suppose to be super stubborn?? To me this book is really a love it or hate it type of story. There is no in between with this one. So at the beginning I will admit I was ready to give it 2 maybe 3 stars but I pushed through it. I hate putting a book down and not giving it a chance, so I kept going with it. I'm super happy I did because it honestly turned out incredible. Reed is outstanding! We can all move to the Reed fan club cause everyone knows he's amazing. I love the twists and the turns and the craziness that finally unfolds when Evie truly learns everything (well mostly) everything she needs to know. So honestly I say really give this series a shot. It will either surprise you, or disappoint you. So let yourself make that decision and jump into the crazy world of Evie! ...more
I have to say this one was better then the first. For that I give it 3.5 stars. I think what really held me off by giving it 4, was Nora.
Like almostI have to say this one was better then the first. For that I give it 3.5 stars. I think what really held me off by giving it 4, was Nora.
Like almost every other person has stated. She jumped the gun on everything. She had no patience for any explanations, nor did she even want to hear anyone else's side of the story. Yeah I will admit, some of the situations I would look at as pretty damn shady but her immaturity and the way she handled them made me want to strangle her. As for Patch, I wouldn't declare him innocent either. There were times where I would have slapped him across the face myself. He did however redeem himself pretty well and for that I will keep a little soft spot for him. Okay, I still think he's sexy in a mysterious kind of way.
The second half of the book is where I really started becoming more interested. Shockingly there were surprises that I wasn't expecting. Characters who I misjudged, and feelings I hadn't felt at first. The ending was a pretty good cliffhanger and I think because of that I will be continuing this series. :)...more

I have read more negative reviews from my fellow GD friends then positive, but I really don't like that influencing me on reading something I really may enjoy myself. So although it took me a seriously long time to pick up this series, i finally did. There is something about Nora that I really can't connect with. There were so many things about her that drove me crazy. Yet, I understood her in some aspects. For someone who had a father who was murdered she really did some stupid shit. She kept way to many thoughts to herself and I couldn't grasp her actions.
Patch was interesting. I like the whole history about how he was a fallen angel, his purpose, etc but it didn't really excite me. Yes patch was intriguing and kinda sexy in that dark mysterious way, but I couldn't really get any further.
The best action was at the end and I think that's what made me enjoy the book a bit more. I didn't dislike this book. I thought the story line was well thought out I just don't think I followed it as well and got into the story as much a I wanted. I will continue the series though. No hurt in getting a little more "Patch" time in ;)...more
If anyone remembers my review of Sweet Evil then you will remember just how heartbroken and sad I was that my (okay Anna's)Ohhhhhhh Kaidan *sighhhhhh*
If anyone remembers my review of Sweet Evil then you will remember just how heartbroken and sad I was that my (okay Anna's) hot british boyfriend was gone. The huge feeling of wanting something even more when you know you can't have it. Yeah, that seems to sum up Kaidan and Anna perfectly. So how did this book help make that better??
At first, it didn't help at all. It sat there and taunted me, pulled my heartstrings, and sometimes even felt like it punched me in the face. Eventually, the answers and the romance we REALLY wanted finally surfaces. You thought I loved Kaidan before? Wow -- turn that into a love X10.
The Dukes are still pricks, the nephs are still fighting for their lives, and romance and drama still lingers in between. I was not disappointed in anything this story brought forward. Bonds grew stronger, friendships became stronger and the will to fight became stronger.
The ending really sets everything up for the final book and I know we won't be disappointed.
Guess I will have to wait for my sexy british boyfriend all over again. *pouts*...more

update: That cover is AMAZING!!!!!!
It would be really really REALLY nice if this author could make this available on kobo or something this time around :( I was super lucky enough to have awesome GD's friends who let me "borrow" theirs but who's to say I will be as lucky with the sequel. I took me MONTHS to be able to find this book to read -- I don't want to go through the same thing haha.

I must say I have FINALLY finished this book. I know it should have been one that I picked up and never stopped reading until I flipped to the last page, but sadly it wasn't. Not only was it the fact that all of my fellow goodreaders had recommended it and because of it's highly rated status, but the over-all story was intriguing.
Amazing Susan Ee, seriously amazing. I had mentioned before that it took me forever to be able to get my hands on a copy of this as it wasn't widely available as I had hoped it would be. (Another huge thanks to Judy) So the fact that I am not smart savvy in technology, I had no idea how to get this onto my e-reader and was faced only being able to read it off my laptop. No biggie though, it was just less convenient for me to be able to sit down with it and read.
There was something so beautiful about this story and this world, yet disturbing. No one could ever imagine being in a post apocalyptic world where the whole purpose of it being that way was angels and their battle of "politics". It's usually zombies, or vampires or something else equally disturbing. So this small difference made it a big one. Who new the world of Angels, archangels, fallen ones, demons, heaven and hell - even God, could be so messed up.
Raffe is some kind of amazing. Not once did I dislike him in anyway and with an ending like that, I felt my heart strings pull in all directions. I don't think Ee could have done a better job on an ending like that. It was climatic, thrilling, yet I felt a satisfied feeling that I could deal with this until the next book comes out. Of course we all like a good cliffhanger, but this was a good one in an all but "satisfying" way. I just really hope I can get my hands on the sequel alot better then this time around *fingers crossed*
Obviously, this a highly suggested book that everyone should be getting their hands on because I doubt anyone will be disappointed.
Judy ... you are my saviour! Everyone needs to know how much you rock :)
Call me stupid, but I have no idea how to get my hands on this book, I can't get it on my ereader, nor is it at several bookstores here. If I have to I will order it online, but does anyone know how to possibly download it somewhere else for my ereader?!?! ANYONE? :(
its kinda funny, I have this picture as my background photo on facebook and had nooo idea it belonged to this book, as I just loved the picture itself. Now I must read it :D
