This is the fastest Dom/Sub agreement turned Romantic relationship turned Engaged turned MARRIED story I have ever read. Why did the author just HAVE to give these guys a happily ever after ending like this? With KIDS? (Like Christian really needed those so soon!)
The last installment and this one have our couple being stalked by ex subs, hunted by ex bosses (who also have sex issues) and that keeps things moving along. I suppose just dealing with the obvious issues of this duo isn't enough of a story. Christian is stil a control freak, Anastasia is still allowing him to control her, and now she's knocked up! Fun times.
There is a great fight where Anastasia really digs in her heels that I totally loved, of course that turns around to blow up in their faces but I don't care, it was awesome for her to stand up to him.
The Epilogue of this final book was just plain WEIRD, with the perspective of Christian being shown, which was really not necessary at all to the story and felt like filler because she just HAD to write an epilogue, but to each their own.
So I read it. If you're down for a mindless series that is quick and easy and has lots of sex this is for you! It's basically entertaining, even if I wanted to give the author a thesaurus several times. I'll just be one of several people reviewing these books that kept reading them regardless of how we felt about them. It's like a car crash, and I just couldn't look away! (less)

That's what I get for reading books that end in cliffhangers!
So Anastasia's has finally dumped the dog to the curb but it doesn't last NEARLY as long as it should have! Here I was rooting for her and her resolve is so weak that I lost almost all the respect I had for her in the first few chapters.
The most annoying thing about this second book? The idea that you can possibly CHANGE someone so effed up (fifty shades of effed up, he's words!) in a mere couple of MONTHS, make them decide that maybe they can be hearts and flowers instead of whips and chains and have them fall in love as well. It was just Sooooo rushed and unbelievable. Come on.
Once again, the sex scenes are steamy but that doesn't make up for the lack of a believable story and the fact that Anastasia's freaking sub conscious and inner diva keep interjecting.
The fact that the characters smile is about 100 different ways does not a good story make. Did it stop me from reading the final book though? Of course not! (less)

Had I known these characters were based off Twilight characters, I might have handed them back sooner.
I'm giving this book 3 stars (more like 2.5) for being entertaining, but let's face it, it's totally rushed and it's not going to win any great literature awards.
It's completely ridiculous to believe that there can be a character who has everything - he's filthy rich, he's smoking hot, and he has a huge penis and knows how to use it. No, really. But he has a dark past and he's a total crazy control freak that wants to tie you up, beat you, and oh yeah, you can't touch him because he has "issues". He can't be THAT perfect, can he!
It took me about halfway through this one before I felt anything for these characters. I was totally frustrated with Anastasia for seeming to be this strong, witty, smart ass kind of girl; but then she's willing and happy to be with someone that wants to control her every move (and oh yeah, spank her!). I would have thought she was better than that, but it is fiction!
So sure the sex is good and the story got better towards the end. The more we find out about ol' fifty, the more intrigued you are but you don't know if you can stand them "Clambering" on EVERY PAGE for another minute. Did it matter? Not really, because I still read the next one!

I'll be honest, I LOVE just about anything to do with Jane Austen, so I'm pretty easy to please. Though it was enjoyable, it's not the "greatest of all time" books so I gave it 3 (and 1/2) stars.
This book starts with Jane who has a serious obsession with Mr. Darcy and it's sabotaging her real life relationships. An aunt dies and leaves her a 3 week trip to Pembrook Park (Austenland), where she hopes to put her obsession to rest and leave Mr. Darcy behind. She struggles with the idea of the place and it's "realness" and though ends up throwing herself into the Regency area in the end, I was left feeling like she was holding back, and that there was not enough time with her male counterparts for things to develop. In fact, most of the character development left me a little unsatisfied. I really tried to root for Jane but at the end of the book I couldn't decide if I wanted her to end up alone or find real love. Ultimately, I think she lands where she was expected to land. (less)
