Dear Author, I would like a TPE tale. I’d like the characters to have some depth and this lovely boy looks to be a bit melancholy about something. I LOVE angst! There isn’t much on the BDSM spectrum that I don’t enjoy. I’m not picky about the setting-dystopian, paranormal, contemporary, tentacles whatever.
Blow my mind please. :)
Photo Description: A naked man lies on the floor in a dark space. He has a muscular build and several tattoos. A light shines down on him from above. He appears to be deep in thought and is holding one hand up so the light shines through his fingers.

I really enjoyed this one. It doesn't focus that much on the paranormal aside from one of the MCs is a vampire and apparently, vampires conduct themselves in a certain way when it comes to feeding from and having sex with humans.
I really enjoyed the total power exchange aspect and just how far Xander was willing to go to get what he's wanted from Malone for so long.
Malone really struggles with himself, but in the end, he can't resist.
I was happy with the way that things worked out for these two.
It doesn't hurt that the story was seriously hot.(less)

The Baddest Boys in History are back!
You read about them in school. Now learn the truth. Real men. No vampires, no werewolves, no magic. Just down and dirty raw power—sin to sin, evil to evil, bad to bad. They fight for humanity. It was that or eternal damnation.
They agreed to risk their souls. No one told them they would lose their hearts.
THE BASTARD Vike died in blood, in battle, in betrayal. His ruthlessness was second only to his brutality. Now one woman makes his blood sing and he’ll stop at nothing to save her. He only has to face half of Hell to do it.
Lacy is unknowingly descended from an ancient Holy line. Someone is slowly destroying her life and wants her dead. A fierce Viking comes to her rescue, and in his arms, she finds more than safety. If Vike can’t protect Lacy, he’ll have to kill her. And for a bastard, what’s one woman worth when the entire world is in jeopardy?
It looks like it took me a long time to read this book, but it really didn't. I started in June, but wasn't up for M/F then and put it aside. I re-started it on July 18th and finished it the very next day because this book is awesome like that.
I really enjoyed Lacy and Vike together. They weren't too mushy and they didn't have unnecessary fights. There was a misunderstanding near the end of the book, but that was due to outside forces and it wasn't over something stupid. Lacy saw something she shouldn't have, but it wasn't her fault that she saw it. I'd have believed my eyes if I'd seen that, too. She womaned up and went to Vike when things got cleared up, so that's what matters most to me. Lacy was really likable to me. Maybe a bit too perfect girl, but she was real enough. She didn't just automatically accept things when the whole truth came out. I didn't like that she ran, but that really wasn't an unexpected human reaction and it could have been so much worse. When she slept on it and thought about it, she realized that she'd already gotten to know these men, so what they did in their First Lives didn't tarnish what she knew of who they are now. Plus, I liked that she stood up to Zale. As much as the guy intrigues me and I even like him, he can be a douche. I understand his motives, but he goes about things the wrong way. Except for with Annie. He's good with Annie. I wonder how long before they get paired off.
And of course there was Vike. He was a badass, but such a softy for a good woman. He could be so tender with Lacy, but still knew he wasn't a good man. History called him evil, but he wasn't really. Just easily led by his heart and the Berserker rage he can fall into. Those aspects of him in the wrong hands can lead to a lot of bloodshed. In Lacy's hands, I think Vike can do a lot of good. There were some moments when Vike really needed to cool off or even try to keep Lacy out of his head and focus, but he's still damned handy to have in a fight. He's also loyal if you show him loyalty. Vike trusts his fellow Forsaken, save for Zale, but then Zale didn't exactly make himself trustworthy to Vike. I can't wait to see how Vike reacts when Zale falls hard for a woman. If that woman turns out to be someone other than Annie, I'll be shocked. That should make things even more interesting since Annie is Lacy's sister. I can't imagine Lacy or Vike being too pleased if those two hook up.
I really like all of the other Forsaken as well as Sela. Sela is a fierce and badass leader, but I hope she gets a love of her own as well. She's a Vangelus stuck on Earth leading the good fight and she has her men, but it's not the same. That Righteous of Michael's seems to really have a thing for Sela, so I'm really interested in seeing that play out. I really want to know who the hell that guy even is. Then of course we have Rex, Nomad, Dray and Myth. I already talked about Zale and these guys are just as interesting. When their identities were revealed, I was surprised. They really are some of history's baddest. Nomad was the only one that I wasn't surprised about. Dray and Rex I really should have guessed. Probably even Myth, too. Zale was a complete surprise. I really look forward to seeing the type of women that will make these guys fall hard the way that Vike did. We get the meet the woman for Rex next and I can't wait.
Samael, our villain, can go get bent. This guy is evil. He's also pretty sick. The dude and his Chiefs have some nasty sexual habits. I'm not looking forward to his revenge on the Forsaken and Sela. After they kept him from turning Lacy, his vengeance is going to be insane, I just know it. There really isn't anything likable about it. He is a villain through and through.
Michael, the Vangelus leading the Righteous is a total prick. I can't fault Sela for carrying a grudge against him for millennia. Not with the way that he acts. After that stunt he pulled when Sela went to him for help after what went down with Lacy, I hope at least some of his Righteous will realize that Michael isn't so great. Speaking of the Righteous, most of them seem like douches. Perhaps will meet more less douchey Righteous warriors than the one that I'm sure will be the love for Sela since the Forsaken are about to have a lot more contact with those dudes (and ladies!) than they usually do. Rex training them to take over fighting the Soul Leeches while the Forsaken make sure they keep all Scions safe should get really interesting. The Righteous don't know shit about modern fighting as they've been in Paradise guarding some gates that don't sound like they get run on by Samael's people very often. They were all warriors in life, so maybe it won't be too hard for Rex to whip them into shape, but who knows? Good luck, Rex. I wonder if one of the Forsaken will hook up with a female Righteous. That could get interesting.
Then of course, there's a traitor Vangelus running around helping Samael. I have no idea who it is, yet, but whoever he is, he's an idiot. He really thinks Samael just wants to go home and is fighting some kind of good fight. No fool! He's torturing souls! He wants to rule over all! When this fool gets found out, I hope Sela kills him.
The fight against Samael has a ways to go and I'm not sure how long this series will be, but I plan to ride it all the way out. I at least want to see all of the Forsaken and Sela find their loves. If any of the Righteous get their own POVs and I get to like them as well, I hope they get to find their loves, too.(less)

An ancient pact was once broken by the theft of Summer’s prince. Now, the Red King has found him. To live, to love, they seek the dark side of the sun…
A thousand years ago, Milesian invaders gained ownership of Ireland from Summer’s Queen through trickery. Since that day, the green isle’s native sidhe have been imprisoned in their hidden kingdom, bound by their ancient pact with the Milesians. Now, the treaty has been violated. The Milesians have stolen Bran Fionnan, the son of Summer’s queen. Trapped in the human world with no way of returning home, Bran is held under a death threat that forces him to work for his captors. He must forge weapons the Milesian huntresses can use to slay their new foe—the Red King.
The Red King is Macsen Cadoc, a vampire—a hunter who cannot stand being hunted. He seeks vengeance for the Milesian attacks in spilled blood—Milesian blood, and the blood of the sidhe traitor who has forged their weapons. When the one he finds is a victim, not a traitor, everything changes.
Bran Fionnan is the Milesians’ most valuable prize, but from the moment Macsen sees him, he wants him…and the Red King is not accustomed to being denied—by anyone. What begins with desire may end in extraordinary ways, but first there are questions that must be answered.
What is love? Can it help Bran overcome lost ties and a lifetime’s worth of anger? Can it help the Red King gain more than the satisfaction of his lusts?

Rampaging werewolves cause the True Alpha to send his Omega, Dawson Rivers, to bring them under control. Can Adam Madison help or hinder Dawson's mission?
Adam Madison is in Iraq, driving supply trucks for the Marines, but he still can't outrun his personal ghosts. Outside the wire, insurgents are a relentless threat. Inside, renegade werewolves are a constant danger.
Dawson Rivers is on a mission for the True Alpha---bring the rampaging shifters under control. Adam proves to be invaluable to his task. Their intense mutual attraction explodes into a powerful physical, and emotional connection.
Their future together is in peril, when Adam's convoy is ambushed. Can they learn to rely on the strength of their bond? Adam staying alive long enough for Dawson to find him depends on it.
I really ended up loving this one. It was really good. Adam really impressed me with the way he grew over the course of this book. In Tim's book, Adam was an asshole more often than he wasn't, but even there, I got the impression that he was starting to grow up a little.(less)
