Hey! *frantically waves* Have you seen my heart anywhere? *looking around* I seem to have lost it back there somewhere. *points behind me* Kim Holden Hey! *frantically waves* Have you seen my heart anywhere? *looking around* I seem to have lost it back there somewhere. *points behind me* Kim Holden ripped it out of my chest and tossed it. Actually...maybe Bright side has it. *shrugs* I don't know anymore. I just know its no longer in my chest. I've got to say. I have read a few 5 star books this year. Books that have made me sad. Books that have made me happy. Books that have broke my heart. But this book. *shakes my head* This book took me to an entirely different emotional level. I'm not even sure I can explain it. Maybe that it touched my soul? Ughh! It aggravates me that I don't have to the words to adequately explain what this book did to me and my soul. And the thing is....I went into this book with my eyes open. I'm a spoiler whore. I read the spoilers before I even read the book. Which I don't recommend. Don't get me wrong. I don't regret that I knew what was coming because even with me knowing it didn't diminish the impact. But I imagine without knowing.....that'd be a whole different ball game. Now I'm not going to touch too much onto the actual storyline because even though I like reading spoilers I don't want to give any away. I AM however going to touch on these amazing characters. Kate Sedwick, Bright side, lives up to her nickname. She's bubbly. Happy. Loving. She see's the bright side of everything and everyone. She is always pushing everyone to be their best. To do their best. She does her best to not let life get her down. She's the person that can make a friend out of anyone. The one people gravitate towards because of the brightness that shines from her soul. Gus has been her best friend for 20+ years. Their friendship is the one thing she holds tightly to. Until Keller Banks.
Gustov Hawthorne, Gus, holds a special place in my heart. I fell in love with this boy in this book. The friendship Gus and Kate share is special. And rare. They have a bond that many people would love to have. Not only with their significant other but with their best friend. While this was Kate and Keller's story, Gus still played a huge part in it because he is a huge part of Kate. Gus and Kate love each other. To the bottom of their souls, love each other. Music is so much a part of their relationship that they pretty much have their own language. And its beautiful. So, so beautiful.
Keller Banks. Another beautiful man I fell in love with in this book. A man who is mysterious. A man a little bit broken. But another man that makes my Katie happy. He's drawn to Kate. He wants her for himself. But he's not sure he can have her. Because he's not sure he can understand her and Gus's relationship. Plus he's got Stella in his life. And he's not sure Kate can accept his relationship with Stella. So they become friends. Until they become more. The love between these two is slow burning. They don't have no insta-love, which is good because I feel it would have detracted from the story. Kate didn't want to fall in love with Keller. She has reasons. And they are sound. But as we all know. You can't control your heart. Watching these two together was simply beautiful.
Now there are other secondary characters that I fell in love with. Clayton, Peter, Shelly and Duncan. But I touched on the main three because they ARE the book. It took me three days to write this review because I wasn't sure what I wanted to say. I wasn't sure my words were going to bring this story justice. I just hope they have let you know that......YOU NEED THIS MOTHERFUCKING BOOK! Like yesterday. Oh. And make sure to lock your heart up and have like 5 boxes of tissues on hand. Rating:

I swooned. I yelled. I cussed. It done its magical job and brought out my emotions.
I've been in a reading slump lately and wore down by writing reviews that I wanted. Scratch that. I NEEDED to find something to read just for fun. And this did it. I don't feel like writing this review is an obligation. It's enjoyment. The blurb of this book is what caught my eye at first but then the story just sucked me in. I'm gonna let you know this book starts out with a bang. By the end of the prologue I'll mean that LITERALLY. I didn't think I was gonna like Mason at first. I thought for sure he was gonna love being a gigalo. But we see this side of Mason that is just..ugh..so vulnerable and lonely. He feels unworthy and disgusted with himself. But Reese sees the side that no one else does. The girls see him as an object. A secret they'd like to try but never let anyone know about. The guys see him as some kind of God. I mean come on. A college boy getting it on with rich beautiful cougars? What guys wouldn't want to be his friend. But Reese? That girl sees all of him. And even though he is forbidden she wants it all. It was cute watching these two fight their growing feelings for each other. Their banter back and forth gave me warm feelings. I didn't really care too much for Eva throughout the story. I get that she was trying to protect Reese but man she was a snobby bitch. Being purposely spiteful and rude. Not only hurting Mason but Reese in the process. She redeemed herself a little at the end though. I just ended up feeling sorry for her. And oh those damn women! Don't get me started on them! His so called "clients". Grrr! Especially his landlady. She's the worst of them all. And then the scene with Mason and Reese. (view spoiler)[After he was with his landlady, although no cheating is involved because Reese and Mason are not together yet. (hide spoiler)]*sobs* It broke my heart.
Sarah was just a cute little thing. She may have cerebral palsy but she was so spunky. Reese treated her like a sister instead of a babysitter, which is something that little girl needed lots of. Anytime Reese interacted with her I had a smile on my face. So many times in this story I swooned. And hugged my kindle to my chest and just sighed. Because to me this story was just that sweet and delicious. Granted the deliciousness with Reese and Mason doesn't happen until later in the story but the flirting and bantering back and forth was just the foreplay to me. Just so everyone knows I popped my Linda Kage cherry today. Yup. *vigorously nods head* And let me tell you something. *whispers conspiratorially* It was totally worth the wait. I know. I know. I was all over the place with this review but you get my drift, eh? Go forth and read my lovelies! Rating:

Brooke Baldwin is a celebrity wedding planner from LA trying to make a fresh start in NYC after finding out her ex-fiancee was a conman on the day of their wedding. While she's standing at the altar no less. Having the FBI show up and put the man you're on the verge of saying vows to in handcuffs does something to a girl. Like ruin your career and leaving your view on love in the dust. So what do you do? You move across country and accept a job with the elite Wedding Belles. Brooke is definitely ready for a new start. But she's not ready for Seth Tyler. Seth Tyler is the CEO of The Tyler Group. He's a controlling Hotel Mogul that holds the purse strings to Brooke's first client, Maya Tyler. The thing is...Seth doesn't trust Maya's fiancee Neil. He thinks he is after Maya's money. And he just may be. But Seth needs to proves it. Seth will do anything to protect his baby sister now that their father has passed away. That's why he needs Brooke's help. He needs her to unplan the wedding instead of ACTUALLY planning it. But will Brooke go along with his plan? As far as these two together as a couple, I can say that they did have some good chemistry and some vulnerable moments. It wasn't off the charts explosive but it was there.
“Do you have a vulnerable side?” “I do. Her name is Brooke.” Her lips parted slightly as happiness washed over her. “You know I'm already going to sleep with you, right? You don't have to woo me with romance.” “No? In that case...” He lowered his mouth to her ear. “Take me upstairs so I can fuck you. Hard.”
Some parts of this story was really sweet. But there was also some moments that had me going, "SERIOUSLY?" Such as Brooke. You'd think with the past she has she would understand and share Seth's feelings concerning Neil. But nope! The story was intriguing and kept me well entertained throughout the book. I just honestly wish I could have loved this book. I'm not sure if its the fact that I've never read any books by Lauren Layne or if it was just missing that "oomph" that I usually need to push my books to a five star. Either way it was a good read. I wasn't disappointed and I will follow this series and author because everyone deserves a second chance.

This is an adorable little romance in a small beach town. Beth was quirky and weird but she was also intelligent and beautiful. Griffin is a serious ex-muscian. He left that life behind when his daughter, Mabel, was born. He owns The Little Ray of Sunshine, a coffee cafe that Beth delivers her muffins to every Tuesday. Its the one day out of the week that they both look forward to. You can see the attraction these two have towards with each other straight away. The looks are smoldering. The flirting is sweet. But Griffin has a busy life. He's running his store and trying to be a great single father to Mabel. He's not sure he's got the time for a relationship. Beth doesn't do responsibility. Ever since her company went bankrupt. And dating a man with a child is RESPONSIBILITY in capital letters. She's not sure she's ready for that. But what these two don't count on is that when loves in the equation everything else gets thrown out the window. Until something scary happens and Griffin does what he thinks is the best for his daughter. He's been distracted between running his business, raising Mabel and being in a relationship with Beth that he feels like he isn't being the best dad possible. So something has to go. Can't be his business. Can't be his daughter. Which leaves the one option he doesn't want to consider but does. Until he realizes he made a huge mistake. Beth loves Griffin. She understood his fear and there was nothing to forgive. But their love is tested once again when Griffin's past haunts the present. And Griffin learns a valuable lesson. Don't hide stuff from those you love. I enjoyed this story from the beginning to the end. Kelly has done a fantastic job with a well written storyline that was sweet and heartwarming and characters that's are real and relatable. This is my first story by Kelly Eadon and I can say I will end up reading more from this author.

What happens when the Board of Directors uses your manwhore reputation as an excuse to prevent you from attaining CEO? You blackmail a female into becoming your wife, of course!
Reese Crane has a dilemma. He's wanting the CEO position of Crane Hotels after his father retires. He's earned it. But there is a problem. The Board of Directors and the tabloids all think Reese is a Manwhore. Which he is. He's known for his penchant for one-night stands and no repeats. And for good reason. But with his playboy past getting in the way of what HE wants he's gonna give them exactly what THEY want. A settled man. Enter Merina Van Huesen. She's fiery and passionate. She's elegant and intelligent.
“Merina is tough, but also soft,” he said , dragging his thoughts back on course. “She dresses like a lady, handles herself like a woman, and doesn’t allow anyone to boss her around.”
But the most important thing? Reese just bought her parents' funky boutique hotel. Merina loves her parents. And that charming hotel. So it goes without saying, she'll do anything to get it back. Even marry Reese Crane. The workaholic, closed off, cold-as-ice, sexy as hell billionaire.
“He needed someone who was his opposite yet equal. He needed someone who could handle pressure elegantly, even while using the word horseshit. He needed Merina Van Heusen.”
A six month business contract. Marriage. Absolute secrecy and at the end of the six months the hotel is all hers again. Love wasn't suppose to be in the equation. But you can't control the heart no matter how much you try to. Neither Reese nor Merina want that pesky emotion because they've both been burned by it before. BAD. But as the saying goes, the heart wants what the heart wants. I loved watching the story unfold with these two. Their insecurities felt REAL. Their feelings felt REAL.THEY FELT REAL!
They weren't just some boring flat characters in some random story. They felt like real humans living real billionaire lives. The chemistry between these two was combustible.
“Please, oh please,” she panted now, begging for release. Thrusting against his face, with one hand on the wall for leverage and the other on the back of his head as she guided him. Greedy. Demanding. He couldn’t get enough.
They may have ran hot and cold with each other but they could count on their attraction to help pull off the pretend marriage. The writing and storyline was executed flawlessly and kept you entertained from the beginning to the end. This is my first story by Jessica Lemmon and I.REGRET.NOTHING!!
I will continue this series because I fell in love with the Crane guys and I want to follow their lives into the future.

Man! These guy*I received an ARC from Net Galley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation with the author or publisher.*
Man! These guys get to me every single time. 818, 221 and now 194 has left my heart a bloody mess. They make me want to nurture them and smother them in kisses. Seriously! So damaged. So tortured. But you can't help but love them. Ravage is 194 and Zoya's story. I've been waiting for this one since I read the very last chapter in Reap. 194, also known as Valentine, is an assassin for Mistress. She's also got his sister 152. Except 152 was turned into a sex slave. In order for 194 to see his sister he must complete his hits. His latest hit is Zaal Kostava, formerly known as 221. Mistress wants him taken out because he killed her lover. Once the hit is complete 194 may see his sister again. Shouldn't be a problem for him. He's the bringer of pain. He's well versed in torture. Except Zaal is too heavily protected so 194 kidnaps someone who means something to him. Thus, begins the torture of Zoya. But Zoya is brave. She's strong. And she loves. She loves her brother enough not to let 194 break her and she begins to love Valentine enough to see the man underneath the monster. The love story between these two is as much beautiful as it is heartbreaking. To see Valentine so destroyed because of what the Jakhau Clan have turned him into. To watch him as he feels unworthy of Zoya's love.
Valentin’s forehead fell onto my shoulder, and he admitted in a hushed voice, “I’m not only scarred on the outside, kotyonok; I’m scarred on the inside: my mind , my heart, and my soul.”
To watch him as he struggles to pick between the two women he loves the most. It's definitely not an easy struggle to watch. But it makes you able to feel. To feel their love. To feel their pain. But goodness! You have got to love Zoya. She loves that man with everything she is. She loves his scarred face and body. She loves his damaged mind and soul. And she makes him see it. She makes him see that he is worth her love.
I had survived the massacre that took my family, but lying here, I realized that the years spent away in hiding I was simply existing. And it took a monster to revive my heart. It took a killer to touch my soul.
Not only is their love story amazing but the chemistry these two bring to the table is off the charts. It makes you squirm. It can make you moan. It can make you combust.
My hands fought to push Valentin away, the feel of him licking me there too much to stand. But the killer within him rose from the ashes. The assassin, the dominant monster, took control and with a strong hand pressed on my chest. The strength of his hand pushed me back to the mattress, the action keeping me pinned to the bed as the flat of his tongue slowly and teasingly lapped against me.
Tillie Cole has written yet another superb book. The writing is flawless and the storyline was on point and flowed easily. I will say that there are some aspects in this story that some people may not be comfortable reading. But to that, I also say, you should read it and judge for yourself if its something you can handle or not. Last, I will say I am looking forward to 152's book. The teaser at the end has me wanting it in my hands tomorrow.
