There back, they’ve come home to us once again!!!! I held my breath while reading until I saw Echo and Baby’s names for the first time, it was like YES they made it. I LOVE the cover, the butterfly has to be one of my most favorite insects, and yes I have to say it… Butterfly Kisses. There I feel better now. They have always meant so many different things to me as to some cultures. It could mean change, hope or that something great is just around the corner, where the unknown lies for you to embrace it and to start afresh what a beautiful thought. Just perfect, just perfect.
I fell in love with J.K. Accinni as author/writer, right from the very first book in this series… BABY Species Intervention # 6609 becoming one of my all-time favorite authors. Not only does Kelly deliver us with this amazing series, but you can tell the hidden message or meanings that are being told within the story that we are reading. Kelly has a very deep rooted love or passionate for the world we live on. Then right along the same path of caring for our own world/earth, it’s what we are doing to destroy our world and also how we are harming ourselves. These are the messages that I’m talking about, every bit of it neatly enfolded into the story. I am truly a fan for life .. When book 6 THE ONE ended, I was left still with so many answers to the questions in my head, I was excited to see that some of them were being answered. Not all but some. So WHEN ALIENS WEEP came out I got to see what had happened to some of my favorite characters, but then went oh h where’d a certain character go. I got to find out what went on after the intervention of Earth, by the Womb.
We get to follow the few survivors of the apocalyptic species intervention. And what they learned or experienced while on the home planet of the minons' (Baby and Echo). Then we were introduced to some new characters, at this part is where my brain is thinking that Hey there’s more for another book. HA ! The whole group of survivors were joined by Minion IV nick named Ivey by Bonnie and Brother Forbation. I’m not too sure about these two yet! More info needed, more info please. (Sorry I couldn't resist) They are just let me say different. Ivey is so much like Baby and Echo, she is a minion, but she she’s a navigator where she visits other new planets and charts them for the Womb. I think I’m going to like her a lot. Brother Forbation is a minion elder kinda like the chief or boss of the minions. Nope I don’t like him, to me he thinks or acts too superior to the others. Maybe my opinion of him will change, I’ll just have to wait and see.
When Aliens Weep gets to really going you’re gonna find a lot of twists, turns, and then some pretty good whammy’s or revelations thrown in the mix and it’s not gonna let you go! Nope, you are gonna be hooked! The roller coaster ride tore at my heart more, so emotional. Keep our tissue box handy because you’re gonna need them quite often. Then as you are reading it finally hit me hit me that my heart was thumping a bit faster and harder. I knew that I was having to say goodbye friends who I have grown to love and consider them my book family. Praying that they all learn from all the events they have gone through. * wipes eyes, blows nose* Protect your land, your family and all that comes along with it at all cost. YOU MUST, THEY MUST. Please come back to us, we/I need to know that things are well with you. I’m going to miss you all so very mush!!!!! *angel hugz n luvz*
I HIGHLY recommend this whole series if you love science fiction or dystopian genres will make another species intervention!

What a differnt andI'd like to thank author Sumiko Saulson for the opportunity to read her novel, I won my copy as a first read giveaway on goodreads.
What a differnt and unique way of blending to well explored characters in todays market... those of the zombies and vampires. Creating a new type of character for us a readers to grip onto. I have to admit that I'm still not sure if I can quite wrap my mind around the new blend of characters yet. But please remember that this is ONLY MY point of view. (I will read this one again)
The characters are themselves very well described for you to follow, I did enjoy the character of Sera who is a vampire/ghoul... she is an immortal (well not really, but some what) who is long lived. A flesh eater that, but with a catch! Her life can only only ends one way... Nope I'm not going to tell you the way, you're going to have to snatch up a copy yourself to find out. But I'll give you a clue, it's kinda real creapy. Ughhh, well to me it is. *shivers*
There is a complex crazy mix of characters throughout the book, you'll have to keep track of who they are, because your going to find a best friend who happens to be a ex-lover, qhouls who have gone somewhat wacko/insane over time. One who happens to be extemely angry, and is out to kill. Police and investigations, friendship along with enemies, then also lovers and death are all thrown into the mix of the storyline/plot.
A story that is filled with alot of darkness that will leave you shaking your head when your finished. But shaking it beacause of the amount of craziness that has just gone on within the story you have just finished. A few chuckles came while reading, which is always a good thing when there is so much darkness. (my opinion)
But all in all, WARMTH is a book that I would recommend to others as one of difference, when you as a reader are looking for a read off your normal path of reading. It truly does have a combination of Dark Romance mixed with ALOT of Zombies and Horror so that it will intice many to say, "Hmmmm this looks differnt and interesting" Come on I dare you to take the leap, as you climb inside this novel..
I as a reader will look forward to the next in the series, to see where it goes.

I think I wouldn't have been so confused with the characters of Aradin and Teral, with their nature and what was going on had I read book 1. I have to admit that it took me a bit to get my head wrapped around them at first, but once I did, their connection was intriguing and I found myself getting a bit annoyed with the character Saleria and her point of views. (remember this is only my point of view)
FROM GOODREADS: Calm the magics caught in thrall: Put your faith in strangers’ pleas, Watcher, Witch, and treasure trove; Ride the wave to calm the trees, Servant saves the sacred grove.
I loved how the gods and goddesses were real people and interacted with others at the meeting/convocation and especially Saleria, Aradin, and Teral.
The fantasy world that author Jean Johnson has created is amazing. I found myself wanting to know more about each country. What is a life like, for someone/people who worship gods other than that of Saleria’s. I think I want to know more about all of this and the characters... Ummm (must get my hands on Book #1)
With so many questions and my curiosity still graving more, this alone will definetly bring me back and try to get the rest of the series. I think I may be missing a connection with the characters, but I do feel I will form a understanding with the next set of main characters.
I definitely want to see where this prophecy is going, and what is going to happen nex!

And as a reader I feel it only fair to give my fair and unbaised opinion in a review. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read your novel.
I felt that it was an interesting read, which points out good as well as the bad things about the series. Erzen diffinetly did try to avoid conflict within the series, and although it's not a bad thing, except Erzen focused on the saga as a whole, the book felt like it lacked more in-depth chapters. Erzen did extensive work on this book by attending many Twilight events where she was able to talk to people, and then shared her findings/conclusions in Fanpire. (although not about whether The Twilight Series is good or bad). We all know for sure that Twilight is popular with a wide range of followers that span from mothers and daughters, men, women and the list can go on and on.
For the most part, Fanpire is a very readable study, with discussion from Twilight web pages that are for those who love the Twilight Series and all that it involves. (I being one of them)It is a little repetitive at times, but if you bare with it you will enjoy it.
Fanpire is an interesting read, and I think the author's do have some insight though I am not sure it truly explains my own love and addiction with the series. I feel that addictions to some series of books simply can't be explained, sucha as the case with the popularity of Twilight is one of them.
I did enjoy this read with no regrets reading Fanpire, and it was interesting to see some more older/mature women (and men) talking about Twilight. along with young girls yelling their love for Rob/Edward. It's not eerydat that you get to see wives talking about the books as well as teenagers pointing out that while they love the books.
I would say that for those who love The Twilight Series, that you may enjoy the intersting points that have been written in Fanpire... give it a shot and see how you feel about it.

*shakes head* to try and see if all the pieces to what I’ve just read fall into it’s rightful place…. Talk about a compelling novel!! And it’s a debut novel at that, from a very talented young NEW author.
Between the covers you’re going to find an amazing detailed story, one of such power, of a lesson of chose and the consequences that ensue by a choice that is made. In this case, a choice made 130 years ago. Talula has been condemned to a cursed life of living (if you could call it that) only to die, and return. To the memory of it all…. Talula traded her “soul” for the life of another. Would you? If someone hurt a loved one, son, daughter or others would you be willing to commit a crime against that person because of what they did? (I know I would, no matter the consequence) What would you be willing to do?
Talula feels the pain in more that one way by a “Choice” she made. Then when all just seems lost, with truly nothing to look forward to, lets just face it how can there be anything - when it’s been the same for 1300 years?
Things tale on a surprising twist when she meets someone. Can there be hope after all? You guessed it right, I’m not going to say who, what, when, whey or even how!!! HA…
Author Pyxi Rose has created a intriguing cast of characters, then mingles them into this astounding story, one of so much power. You will read about love, heartache, a life lesson, betrayal all through a LONG lifetime all collected together, then placed crafted amazingly throughout this, her debut novel “The Ninth Tagharim: Redemption (Taghairm Chronicles #1)”
I highly recommend this as a must read!!! And look very much forward to the next in this series.

What an amazing reflection of undying love and loss. This story took me down a very sad loss to me as I read it. I had just received word that my aunt had passed this very sameday as The Life We Dream was released, she too had died from cancer. but it is a reality that we must all face in life, and so many of us have. Hidden In The Storm is a fantastic read that has a bit of everything right between the covers. With the added twist of a vampire/witch!!! That was very unique as well as a first for me to read about. You’ll find a wonderful storyline that encompasses gods, goddesses, vampires, witches, love and loss… then a boat load of suspense coupled with fast paced action.
A different take for me was that the story itself is told from a guy’s point of view – Liam. Well done on this Leesia. Oh, another neat twist was Hank; yes he’s a guy/boy, but not a human kind of guy: Hank is a vampire dog!!! Yes, you read that right, a VAMPIRE DOG! (Loved it) another first for me. In all the paranormal reads that I have read, I have never read about a vampire dog. (I want one please)
Author Leesia Parish Champion has done an extremely great job when writing this book; I absolutely loved it, with all the different twists along with the amazing cast of characters that she has created for us to meet. Hidden in the Storm is now in my TBRA folder (to be read again) on my kindle. I sure hope that there is going to be a sequel, because there is so much more to find out from this story. Leesia please say that there is!

Firstly I need to thank author Leslie Paige Dover for the wonderful opportunity to read this fantastic book of hers!! Thank you, I loved it and can’t wait for the next book to come out. *tapping foot*
Forever Fae was/is so awesome, yes I know that this word is used a lot.. But it’s the truth, it’s amazing. When you see the title “Forever Fae” you might think oh no it’s a Tinkerbell fairy princess type of book… but I’m here to tell you that this book is so not a Tinkerbell!!! Although there is a Princess, and one with a destiny.
L.P. Dover has created a phenomenal novel, that will transport you into the world of fae as you take the journey along with her characters that are all yours to travel with as the story unfolds before you, then captivates you, taking you to the Summer and Winter Courts of Fae.
Calista has a destiny, one that is to change the land of Fae. One that also is to protect her kingdom from the evil darkness that threatens to destroy it. (grrr, it better not)
She is one lucky women in some ways, well all right in a lot of ways! She’s a princess, has her own kingdom and has not one but two handsome men who crave her heart and love. The ever dashing warrior Merrick, (he‘s my favorite) who behind everyone’s eyes trains her in readiness for battle against evil, and then enters the striking Prince of Winter Court, Ryder whom she meets as he attends the Guardian Ceremony.
Merrick can come and protect me and my heart anytime he wants. No competition in his way. (Just saying, although I know I‘m sad about him too) His character his amazing, he’s strong. Downright hilarious with his comments, (you‘ll see when you read it) and yet so loving and devoted to the well being and safety of Calista. *GO team Merrick*
Ryder’s character is spectacular with his so seductive ways, (ooo la la) he knocks Calista for a loop big time, when they meet. Wow, to have such a dynamic and intense love for someone is absolutely breath taking and just pulls your heart strings tight. *SIGHS*
Keep in mind that there is yet another that craves Calista *nods head* oh wait, I didn’t tell you about him did I? Although I did mention a evil darkness in the beginning. *angelic smirk* He is pure evil in my book well and this book too, and only wants her (Calista) powers and to snatch the Land of Fae!! How does the saying go? Opposites attract? Well in this case it’s true, because he craves her heart too.
Then on top it all off he knows of the prophecy, her destiny. WAIT, don’t leave yet, you have to hear this part. Quick come back…. He is the Dark Lord, and he wants to make Calista his Dark Queen!!!! *flyz around flapping my wingz* looking for Merrick and Ryder, shouting….. Ummm do angels shout? Oh at this point I need to! Hurry up you two guys, you have to stop him, the Dark Lord and his evil can’t take over the Land of Fae and Calista’s soul. Well darn where are men when you need them? (sorry I couldn‘t resist)
Now I ask you this, will the Dark Lord succeed? Who will win Calista’s heart? And will she conquer evil to fulfill her destiny, the prophecy foretold?
Well to find out the answers to the questions and much more of this wonderful story, I suggest you head on over to grab your copy of “Forever Fae”, then read like crazy to find the answers. I promise you that you won’t be disappointed, you’ll love it.

To follow is my fair and unbiased opinion of Twisted #1 (A Twisted Fairy Tale)
PHENOMENAL, Author Jenny Phillips continues to amaze and astound me with her unique writing style as I started to read this novella. With yet another outstanding book under her belt, this book takes you… yes, on a twisted dark journey as you dash through the pages, one after another.
A storyline with (2) main characters gripping you by your own hand, making sure that they’re not letting you go!!!
Gianna is so amazing, then her childhood friend Hunter, who returns after eight years to Fort Miami, and back into her life will pull you through his part in this story… simply spellbinding.
I absolutely loved “Twisted”, and if you haven’t had the chance to read this novella yet, then I HIGHLY recommend that you snag your copy fast….. You also will love it.
NOTE; Jenny I have one question for you. When is #2 in this awesome series going to be in our hot little hands, because frankly I myself am already chomping at the bit to read it…

Thank you Author Amber Garza for the opportunity to win “Unveil” as a first reads!!! I hope my fair and unbiased review will do your book justice.. (-: *bows down* to you for this fantastic trilogy.
Mackenzie is looking forward to her high school graduation, and her eighteenth birthday with so much excitement!! Until an unwelcome visitor from her past appears… hmmm, I wonder who it could be? I know, but do you? And this unwelcome quest/visitor from her past is threatening her future plans. (not so good, I think)
Armed with a new weapon, and the boy whom she loves by her side, (not going to tell you which one he is though) Mackenzie prepares to fight. But she doesn’t realize that she’s about to step into the ultimate battle of between good and evil, where the stakes are much higher than they ever have been before.
As I picked up “Unveil” to start reading I couldn’t wait to dive right into it. So many questions were left open for us from “Entice”, book 2 in the “Prowl Trilogy”, that I was left very much wondering who Mackenzie was going to choose, or what was waiting for her around the next corner.
I nod my head in agreement with the choices Mackenzie had made, it had also made me grin… happy for the way things had turned out, yet sad at the same time because I wanted to read more…
Although there is a Christian theme playing out in the background of this trilogy, by no means should non-Christians readers pull away from the “Prowl Trilogy”. Lessons in life can be learned in this phenomenal, amazing trilogy.
Look at it, and read it with a open mind and heart. You will see the message woven into this great series, then think about that message and what you yourself would do. All the while enjoying the storyline, feeling the turmoil of emotions and passion as you read.

Firstly, I’d like to thank AuthoTo follow is a combination of parts of my previous reviews of 1-6, to make a huge review for the Complete Collection.

The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter (The Beginning) follows the life of young 14 year old Chloe who witnesses her mother’s murder… yes, right in front of her.
On this very same day Chloe vows to seek revenge against the vampire who killed her mother…. Chloe learns many family secrets that night and more in the days that follow that dreadful day, about her mother, father and also of others in her family. Leading her down a wild journey, which shows her what her family is and what/who she ultimately will become.
After being awakened in the middle of the night by her mother, hidden in a closest from the intruders that broke into their home. Felicia, her mother was demanded to hand over Chloe!!!! Nope, she isn’t going to do it. A fight/battle ensues with the vampires, her mother fighting against them.. Why??? You might be asking… They’ve come for Chloe, to take her to the father that she has never known.
I’m not going to give away anymore, but you need to know this; The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter is a series that engulfs you from the very beginning with it’s accelerating fast pace, with an ongoing storyline that unfolds with each installment. You became familiar with the characters quickly, who they are, and what they are about as the premise flows smoothly. Clearly and precisely a captivating phenomenal story.
I absolutely love Author Jennifer Malone Wrights style. At times it felt like I could just picture her as she was plotting the next scene. Sitting there, her amazing brain churning as each sentence is written…. Tick, tick, tick…
The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter continues with book 2, POWERFUL BLOOD….
Chloe comes from the blood of angels, demi-gods and in her special case, a vampire…. Her blood is that which comes from the Original Vampire Hunters, and having such a strong mixture of blood has the potential to be VERY POWERFUL. (-:
Training now with vampire hunters for two months, she has sworn to herself that she was going to be the best- like her mother. She runs the trails for 1 hour each morning, then school, then works out on the machines in the gym…. Then as Chloe would say got her butt kicked“ by Drew or one of the others for 2 hours. Plus twice a week she goes to the range to practice archery and shooting. Chloe proves to be a natural at both!!!
Part 2 also introduces Chloe more to the other hunters of the village (actually it‘s a city) where they live together away from others unlike them, keeping their secrets and roles unknown. What brings them all together, is their mutual responsibilities to protect humans from the vampires who would try to kill or turn them.
Author Jennifer Malone Wright continues to keep this series rolling along at a mesmerizing pace, one that has each part in my opinion better than the last installment!!!
I have absolutely loved it… although each have fascinating aspects and all full of an ongoing suspense, there’s just something more intriguing to this installment that makes it stand out from the previous ones so far….
Chloe is going through so much turmoil inside, anger is at the forefront after the village is attacked. Some of her vampire hunter family are killed, and many others injured: her Grandpa Luke is pretty seriously injured. Chloe feels responsible for whats been happening, because it’s her own father who keeps sending vampires to capture her, to try and take her to him and away from those who fight to protect her at all costs.
Theres a New Years eve party on the horizon, and yes Chloe has a date… with the most popular guy at her school!!! You guessed it, this isn’t sitting to well with Drew by no means… I’m not going to give away any more of the story, this is a series that you must take the time to enjoy and grow to love on your own…. Sorry, so if you are already reading this story, keep reading on, and if you haven’t started reading it yet I have to ask you one question, why not? The next part/installment is even better.
And once again as I always seen to do, I have found myself picking or teaming up pairs in this series too.
As Chloe and the community are now trying to gather their strength from injuries, deal with the loss of some of their hunters, and pull it all back together after the vampire attack on them Chloe and Drew are more at odds with each other, the more they try to get along the more they seem to fight- tensions are running very high.
The New Year’s party doesn’t help take her mind off of things… her mind is more eager to come up with plans to vanquish the vampires, all of them including the main one behind all the attacks, her father Trevor!!!
Drastic changes are on the horizon for Chloe, what will she do???? How can she stop all the madness of the attacks against her and those she loves and cares about?? What is the connection and similarities that bug Chloe? That she sees in Gavin and Drew? Questions, yes I know!!! But they will remain unanswered by me, because you really need to grab onto this series of short stories… cliffhangers at the end of each one will have you definitely going right to the next one. (-:
As I carry on eagerly jumping into part 5 of this amazing storyline. “Living with Vampires” here I come. Author Jennifer Malone Wright is definitely at it again, keeping us coming back for more with this installment of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter. Very nicely done I might add too.
I refuse to let this series end!!! *takes a deep breath* this installment is going to be so hard not to give to many spoilers away…. Ughhhh
So much is happening in this installment, covering a longer time frame, but if I were Chloe it would feel one heck of a lot longer!!!!
Chloe is no longer living in the vampire hunter community…. Nope, she’s living with her father, Trevor!!! Talk about a complete flip around. But she’s living there for a reason; to get revenge against her father for the attack against the village and those she loves. And for the murder of her mother. Revenge she WILL have and get.. *nods head* (Get him Chloe)
As the characters continue to grow, we are acquainted to new ones. (yayyy)
Secrets about Chloe are unveiled. How she manages from going insane or crazy is beyond me. Boy, there are some doozies of twists and turns, lots of evil-mean vampires, triumphs and so so much more!!! I’m off to part 6 (Arcadia Falls) now. *whistles a happy tune *
Nope, Nope, Nope I still refuse to accept that this is the last installment in The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter series )-: The only comfort in all this is knowing that “The Arcadia Falls Chronicles” is soon to be on it’s way for all of us to follow, where The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter has ended….
So with that being said, we continue. Close one book and open the next.. In this installment Chloe attempts her escape from the clutches of her father. Will she and her friends successfully pull it off?? *bites her tongue* no I won’t tell you what happens *insert cheesy angelic grin*
Chloe also finally chooses between her two guys, Gavin and Drew!!! Hummmm which will it be?? And you guessed it, I’m not going to tell you the answer to this one either. *flutterz wingz*
Ah yes, then there’s the question still remaining about Gavin and Drew along with a new one… have they been able to resolve the differences between them??? Yes, another unanswered question from me.
Chloe continues to grow in her character, but most importantly she continues to grow and mature as a vampire hunter. One with powers unlike no other!!!! Her Destiny awaits her.
Thank you so much Author Jennifer Malone Wright for this spectacular, gripping, action packed series that you have created for all of us to enjoy. I eagerly look forward to the next series that you have in the works for us… “The Arcadia Falls Chronicles” *angel hugz*

Gabriel is plunged head first into a world where no one can be trusted!!! Although his new friends at the manor try desperately to prepare him for the strange chain of events that lie ahead if him, it seems at times that they may already be to late as a world of nightmarish twist and turns filled with paranormal phenomena, shadowy monsters, evil cruel villains and dark secrets/conspiracies rise up to challenge/face him at every turn along the way. (I‘m dizzy just writing about it, poor Gabriel)
As you follow the wild journey in finding out who and what Gabriel actually is, you will be intrigued to find a futuristic plot of genetically altered DNA, amazing very useful weapons and monsters that when they are all combined, you’ll find yourself smack in the middle of a phenomenal exploration in time or though time.
Jodi, Pete, Reeves, Julia and Flannigan take the journey with Gabriel right beside him (well mostly right beside him)… each are vital for what they know as they face the Shadow Lords with the many crazy - creepy monsters. Gabriel has a destiny to fulfill; to save the world from the Shadow Lords, but begins to wonder if he is actually one of them???? A Shadow Kind .
The Shadow Born Trilogy is a phenomenal futuristic fantasy to sit back, and take the ride along with the amazing characters of this trilogy. A MUST READ

Underworld is book #2 of the Abandon trilogy by the talented Meg Cabot. I must admit that Underworld is my first of Author Meg Cabot’s that I have read, well actually the 2nd.. With this being book #2 in the series, I went to my library a checked out Abandon in order to do a quick read of what was the start of this series. Ok, so here goes…(although I won‘t go into great detail of the book, because MANY have already)
The Abandon Trilogy is a Greek mythology theme based paranormal fantasy romance which I found for the most part surreal and quite delightfully enchanting. Definitely a intriguing whirlwind adventure. I loved the characters immensely, especially John!!!
The romantic teens will definitely be hooked or glued to the pages as Underworld has developed Pierce and John’s relationship much further than in Abandon. All of this being done and written within a very plausible world or Underworld in this case. (sorry couldn‘t resist)
All in all I did enjoy this easy read and feel with out a doubt that many have and will too.
Firstly I’d like to thank Author Hugh Sterbakov for the thrilling opportunity to read this amazing novel of his that I won as a firsts reads. Manhattan has been attacked by a werewolf pack, sparking an massive epidemic. Nightmarishly each night the victims multiply. The disease spreads…. An army grows.
As authorities scramble to contain the monsters, they discover that one man is behind them; his name is Demetrius Valenkov… and he has a message for the United States.
~~ FIND A CURE ~~
The President must prepare an unspeakable solution, ad the disease evades an international coalition of top scientist.
One person has picked up Demetrius’ trail: FBI counter terror specialist Brianna Tildascrow, who is the government’s most efficient - and ruthless - man hunter!!!! Brianna must hunt Demetrius across the globe and uncover the sinister secret of the curse threatening mankind. She’s not alone on the mission/quest, she has the help of a elite squad of commandos and a quirky horror blogger . Interesting mix right? I think so.
Although my first reaction when City Under The Moon arrived was, Dang this is a large novel, and yes it is.. I was quite a amazed at how quickly I read through it once I started it. Another fascinating surprise was that it’s on of those books that you definitely don’t want to read it right before you go to sleep!!! I knew that it was going to be full of suspense, but this book to me was as scary as hell…
City Under The Moon, to me had a genius of an author writing this novel! The way his brain must have been working overtime is very apparent by the love and passion, the amount of detail work crammed in from cover to cover is mind blowing. It’s a very FULL, detailed book. I most certainly wouldn’t consider it a light read, as you need to keep on track with this one. (no mind wandering allowed, lol)
A few words that I’d use to describe “City Under The Moon” would be: amazing, wonderful, phenomenal and terrifying!!!! Action packed, full of twists and turns of course.
What a wonderful opportunity I had to read “The Four Winds” by the amazing talented Melanie Marie Shifflett Ridner, who is a Native American poet/writWhat a wonderful opportunity I had to read “The Four Winds” by the amazing talented Melanie Marie Shifflett Ridner, who is a Native American poet/writer of Shawnee/Cherokee heritage. I was asked to read this book by the publisher themselves.
The peaceful and tranquil experience of reading this collection of over 200 poems/verses; you are transported through their emotions and their souls about growing up as Native American, you’ll be taken through their mature, ceremonies and rites of passage.
Having had a true love and passion for the Native American heritage, their way of life, cultural strong beliefs for so many years pulled me so strong to read and immerse myself into this extraordinary collection right from the start.
As you read “The Four Winds” you gain a strong understanding of what its like to be Native American; each verse, poem and belief is poured out across the pages for us as the reader. Travel through their traditional ways of their wondrous world in which they live, as they hold them true to their hearts. The love of their Great Nation is so over whelming as you read each poem or verse one after another. (and read one after another you will once you delve into this book)
Whether you have a passion for the Native American heritage as I do, or a new found interest to learn their beliefs; to just enjoying a beloved collection of ancestry through the eyes and heart of someone who believes full heartedly that their nation is a Great one… “The Four Winds” will be, and is the book that will lead you from the four corners of their great land to the feelings of the four winds, that hence they came to join together as one. To conquer all that was and is put in front of them as a challenge to win or fulfill for their great American Nation.
Their passion, strength and love shines through as this book flows from ones emotions put together into poems for as an outsider to enjoy and hopefully gain some perspective, as to how peaceful our lives can be if we were only to learn from what is said through this book. So powerful are these words.
Melanie put it imply yet powerfully in this quote:
“My Indian blood stays strong and grows within my soul” I am proud of my Indian Heritage. (Shawnee/Cherokee)
Thanks again Melanie for the joy of this book…

I am so in love with the “Redemption Trilogy” from the very first book. And to follow is my fair and unbiased opinion in a review after reading this marvel..
Love can overcome many odds. And while this emotion is worth many trials and tribulations, it can also lead to death.
It is love that is forbidden…. Dayton Blainey is thte only sane Naphil ever to walk the face of the earth, and she’s in love with a demon that she’s been bound to by blood.
Can love triumph over fate??? Marcas Craig is the Demon son of Lilith and Cain. He has a destiny he has turned his back on for Dayton.
There is only one choice… Kidnapped by Marcas’ insane brother Damon, Dayton has become a pawn in Damon’s fanatical attempt at securing his own redemption. The Seal is now in the hands of a mad Demon, there is a civil war brewing in Hell, and Dayton and Marcas’s love could destroy Earth.
In the end, will love conquer all? With Marcas now trapped within the rind (The Seal), their binding severed - Dayton also lost his strength and powers. She must face her battles as one… with only HER powers to fight with. Will it be enough?
Her only connection to Marcas now was The Seal, that she now wore and refused to relinquish back to Sophia - the keeper/protector of the Seal. The only way Dayton would give up The Seal was if Sophia killed her!!! (not a good sign considering the conflicts the two of them already had)
With Monroe’s wiccan protection spell surrounding them, and Connor’s protection of stone the battle begins… it’s a vicious attack coming from Sophia, which caught Dayton off guard, SO strong and powerful.
My daughter is a Naphil, a half - human child sired by a Angel. Nephilim have long since been considered the insane, blood thirsty offspring of Angels who desired human relationships. My daughter is different, she was born to a mother with blessed blood. But, in the end, no matter how different, my daughter is still a Naphil.
Regina weaves a world of love, strength, convictions of determination, oh and so much more for us the readers of this spectacular series…
I am still reeling from the many heart wrenching moments found in Retribution. The “breath holding” parts where once more Marcas has to endure the fierce trials which Lucifer deals him, but this time he’s not alone- yes you may have guessed it, Dayton - our headstrong Angel is right by his side, going through each and everyone of the trials that Marcas has to endure. GO DAYTON !!!!
Dayton has found her full powers, gaining conviction in her independence of making her own choices - confidence in who she is, and what she had the strength to do; both mentally and physically.
I don’t want to say good-bye to Dayton and Marcas!!!! *shakes head* They have a whole new challenge in front of them… facing them together by choice, for the belief of their love of one another. Then of course with the “bind/bond” of their souls once more, where Marcas goes, Dayton goes and vice versa where Dayton goes, Marcas goes too.
Out of so much diversity, Author RK Ryals has created a spectacular happy ending, keeping our Marcas and Dayton together. *jumps up, and hollers woot woot* Together, Not in Heaven or in Hell, but in the outer gray area, a middle/outer circle between black and white, and good and evil, as Marcas now leads his own kingdom with his beloved beautiful Angel Dayton by his side…
Two different souls, from opposite sides of our world; One half Angel, the other half Demon, together they have their chance at the happiness and love that they fought so hard to achieve!!! Horray for Marcas and Dayton.
As one series ends, another will start.. There’s Connor, Monroe, the fallen and hybrids to dive into still. So with that being said, I’m off to start the next adventure in the new series of Acropolis….
If you’ve yet to start the Redemption Trilogy, you really are missing out on one heck of an amazing story that is being written by the mastermind of the phenomenal author RK Ryals.
