I think the second book really sucked. I found myself hating Fireheart, the main character, because of how he always makes the wrong decisions, how he never gets punished, how he worries so much about every tiny problem or move that tigerclaw makes, how he's such a perfect fighter sometimes, how he's always assuming things (I actually really don't like people like that in real life), how he's always getting into other people's business, how he thinks he's so special that he can do anything, how he knows that Bluestar likes him, how Bluestar likes him after every stupid thing he's done wrong, how he's got a really bad temper sometimes.
Wow, the list can really go on.
The main things that annoyed me were:
-How worried Fireheart is about everything -How Fireheart always thinks Tigerclaw is trying to kill some cat.
At the end of every chapter, there is always, always, a sentence saying, "Did Bla Bla really bla bla? I really didn't care about the problem that Fireheart was making such a big thing. Say, there was some girl in your class who doesn't like you, and she accidentally knocked your sharpener over and said sorry genuinely. Now, if you were Fireheart in that situation, you would grumpily pick up your sharpener and then worry about her next attempt at killing you. He would ask the reader, Was that just an accident? Or was she trying to kill Fireheart?
I think Erin Hunter could've done much better endings than that.
The next thing is how Fireheart always thinks Tigerclaw is trying to kill someone, or setting a trap to kill Bluestar or Cinderpaw or whoever the hell he was calling over. It might have just been a coincident, or an accident. Sometimes I think that if 3 mice were missing from the pile of freshkill, Fireheart would somehow make himself believe it was Tigerclaw's fault. It's not really Tigerclaw's fault that he hates you, you're just that annoying.
When I read this book, I kept seeing hints of things that happened in the first book. I get SO annoyed when authors do that. It's anyone's common sense to read the books in order, so don't waste the space on the paper saying what you've already said. I also felt like Fireheart was just normal and a pretty stupid cat, and all the other cats are so much better than him but somehow he's just special and the cats like him.

I literally couldn't stop flipping the pages. It was an addictive book, grabbing m attention. I read for the whole day and night trying to finish the book. It was a great feeling, knowing that I've FINALLY found a great YA novel that is not about vampires, high school love or any other typical subject. THIS is what everybody should be looking for.
There are five factions: Abnegation, Dauntless, Erudite, Amity and Candor. There was a horrible war, so they were split into five different factions, believing that different things could stop the war.
Abnegation believed that selfishness made the war unstoppable. They focused on beings selfless.
Dauntless believed that Cowardice was the problem, so they focused on bravery.
Erudite focused on knowledge and science.
Amity focused on Peace making and happiness.
Candor focused on honesty.
There was always something wrong between these five factions. They knew war was bound to happen again.
The description is the BEST. The way Veronica writes it is so addictive and you won't be able to stop. It was a complete adventure for me. I usually say that I felt like I was trapped inside the book and that I was in their world, but this time I mean it. Everything was blocked out. I witnessed myself inside a future world full of disaster and emotion.
