It only took me several months. I started reading this book shortly after my ex left me. It was hard to sit down and read for long chunks of time, but when I did, there were several times when her words spoke to me. I could really relate to some of what she went through. There were many passages, that I just thought, Yes! that's it exactly! I know many people have mentioned that they thought it was too whiny, but I think this book was just what I needed during a hard time. My divorce was finalized last week and I'm feeling very content with my life right now. This book helped me get there.(less)
