In the end, I liked Tate very much- and I loved the scene where she apologizes to James, that one's so emotional...my stomach clenched with feeling while I read it. James is the perfect hero: not only is he BLOND (my pet-fetish), he's possessive and responsible- always a great combination.I loved how he just accepted his feelings for Tate and pursued what he wanted without budging. Needless to say, I didn't mind his tattoos one bit ;). The HEA was great, it made me cry, and I love to be touched to tears...always makes great romance in my book :D. And: even the villain is truly satisfying- he's just EVIL, EVIL, EVIL, which makes the suspense-plot thrilling. Suspense tends to fall short of the romance very often- it's delightful that this never happened here. The sex is exceptionally great. Those scenes alone deserve five stars in my opinion. But something else makes this book outstanding: the writing. The language is beautiful, often funny, deeply engaging. The author masters her instrument to perfection- made me envious, but hey, I'll just suck it up :D. An awesome read- next book will certainly be an auto-buy for me.(less)

Pamela Clare always writes a really, really HAPPY happily-ever-after, and damn, she has me tearing up like a baby every time... Reece is the perfect hero, and Kara is wonderful for him, even though I would have liked to slap her when she pushed him away at the beginning- she saw reason eventually, and I'm so glad! What makes Reece even more delicious: he's blond. Yay to that. And as a senator, he's a guy in a suit. Drool. I'm going to read many more of Mrs. Clare's books, I'm sure....(less)

He’s not only blond, he can cook, never doubts his feelings, isn’t afraid to love, doesn’t miscommunicate, is thoughtful and intelligent, the perfect beta for an alpha-woman like Dee…those two were so WONDERFUL together and are by far my favorite Laurenston-couple. I loved the fact that there were hardly any problems between those two…from the beginning, his love for her was blinding and Oh so sweet, and well- let’s just say she didn’t have the whiff of a chance to resist him. Solid five stars for this one! (less)

She uses lots of metaphors and inventive descriptions, but she made me feel what her characters were feeling, and that’s what it’s all about in my book. Hero and heroine were wonderful, especially Connor: he's troubled and pretty damaged but tender at the same time, and he's very emotional- I liked him tremendously, and I liked him even better after he quit smoking :). And, DAMN…was there much sex in this one! I thought I had picked up a romantic suspense, but there were so many steamy scenes here…wow. And it was my favorite kind of sex, too: sex that expresses deep, urgent, exclusive, uncompromising emotions. To top it off: blond hero, dark-haired heroine (exactly the way it should be :D), no ménage, perfect HEA. I laughed so hard about Sean- and his book is already on my Kindle. Great work, Mrs. McKenna- you gained a fan here! (less)

I almost can't bear the suspense, and the villains are really, really bad...the sex in this is SCORCHING HOT, and I truly admire Shannon McKenna for successfully connecting an utterly convincing suspense-plot with sex scenes that are everything else but mass market...WHOA!!!! The McClouds are blond and green-eyed, which can't get any more perfect...I absolutely HAVE to read Kevin's story now. A great book, five stars!(less)

I swear this writer will give me grey hairs anytime soon...her books are so thrilling, the villains so evil- I would close my eyes if I could. Makes reading pretty hard, though. Kev is a wonderful hero, and my heart broke for him when I read about his past. His love for Edie is pure and wonderful, and the way they met- SIGH. It's great to read about all the McClouds again, especially Liv and Sean. The sex in here isn't quite as frequent and hot as in the other books, but still S-C-O-R-C-H-I-N-G enough for me. Great book!!! Absolute recommendation!(less)

I spent the last hours of my reading time in perfect bliss. Seriously, there are lots of things to love about Evan besides his hair- and May is undoubtedly a wonderful heroine. I suffered with those two and spent an awesome time. Very well done- and this won't be the last of Schroeder's books I'm reading.(less)

I especially loved how much respect the big bad alpha-guy showed the heroine... he wasn't macho or condescending, he was just honest and fair. Great book.(less)
