Even if it talk about a quite serious and merciless illness, The Story of You and Me is a sweet story with an intrinsic positivism and lightness. Exactly for this reason, I liked but not loved this book. It's difficult to explain, but it's like I didn't want to read about the 'awful' parts of the illness and, at the same time, I'd have liked to read more about Sophie's efforts in dealing with the same illness... This is something I felt was missing in Sophie's story.
That's said, I really liked the parts focused on Sophie and Alejandro as a couple, even if their relationship is more on the love-at-first-sight side than I'd usually prefer. Alejandro is, after all, the thing I liked the most in this story!!!
In the end, I'd like to thank the author for the chance of reading her book for free through Netgalley and I hope she appreciates my honest review of her work....more

To be honest I was a little worried to read Steve's story since in the previous book I didn't like him very much... That said, the Steve in this book is very different from the other Steve and I liked him a lot better!! I also liked how his relationship with Joey evolved, even if it all went a little fast.
I don't have anything bad to say about Choosing Happy but it also isn't a story that will stay in my mind for a while: a 3star read

Poor Radimir!!! That's the thing that often came to my mind while I was reading this story!
White Nights is a novella told from the pov of both main characters: Radimir and Aleksandr. As you may imagine, Radimir's pov is the one I liked the most, as well as its own character. Aleksandr's bad publicity nevertheless, Radimir is a good guy and very honest about his feelings: I liked how he took Aleksandr's moods swings and I liked even more that his behavior convinced me about the truthfulness of his feelings for Lesya. I can't say the same for Aleksandr: his insecurities annoyed me from the start and, even at the end, I couldn't feel the same dedication to his partner that instead I found in Radimir.
That's said the novella is an enjoyable read and, even if it's part of the "Arctic Series", it could be read as a standalone. At last I'd like to thank the author for the chance to read her book through NetGalley; I hope she appreciates my honest opinion of her work....more

I liked it so very much!!!!
Transcendence is different from every romance I ever read and that's exactly what made it so good to me. It put a smile on my face more than once and left me at the end with a happy feeling all around, definitively a book I'd recommend to all romance lovers
What made it so special?? The main characters! Mostly Ehd and his internal musings! :D Ehd is a caveman, with caveman's worries and caveman's accommodations, and that also means he doesn't speak or understand human language...if that doesn't make an interesting spin to the whole man-woman relationship I don't know what it could! And if you're worried the story could be boring with pretty much no dialogue at all, don't be: the author did an amazing job in making dialogues unnecessary while describing Ehd and Beh interactions and their growing relationship. Those two are such a cute and solid couple..I loved everything about their story!...more
Leah and J.D. are both damaged - Leah for an accident that left her blind, J.D. for his chil3.5 stars Review also on my blog

Leah and J.D. are both damaged - Leah for an accident that left her blind, J.D. for his childhood and the war he had to take part into - and both are struggling with the hardships life put them through. Since the first meeting, they felt a connection to each other and that connection only deepened with each "casual" encounter...but is it really only fate's merit?!? Well nope, it isn't! (But I won't spoil this for you, don't worry!)
Overall, I liked Blind Passion - even if Leah and J.D. relationship evolved quite rapidly for my tastes - but if there's a thing I could change that would be the way Leah and J.D. argument was resolved: it felt quite rushed after all the times Leah told us how J.D.'s lies ruined irrevocably her trust in him. But then, since he almost died, *poof* he's forgiven...mmm not so fast pal! What I liked most was instead the way the author focused on Leah's efforts for overcoming her disability, I was rooting for her all the way!! Gina and Micah, as secondary characters, were perfect and I'm very curious about their story: the preview the author offers at the end of the book left me wanting more! I'll be waiting for their book ;)
At last, I'd like to thank Bonnie Dee for the chance to read an ARC of her book through NetGalley and I hope she appreciates my honest review....more
