I loved this series. Yet another beautiful, deadly and so sexy hero...Takashi O'Brien is so fabulous and of course Summer Hawthorne is a woman who ultimately gets what she wants...him!!!!!
I can read these books over and over and still feel the excitement, the thrill of the story.
Ice Blue, 3rd book in Anne Stuart’s Ice Series continues the story of the mysterious Committee agents and it is just as suspenseful and romantic as the previous two books…which I ABSOLUTELY LOVED…and this one is just as amazing. Summer Hawthorne’s mother, a rich and spoilt woman who has never cared or loved her had been under the influence of an evil Japanese cult and had promised them the priceless blue bowl, that had been given to Summer by her beloved Japanese nanny. They are determined to get the bowl by any means as it has incredible powers unbeknown to Summer. Takashi O’Brien is a half American/Japanese (he also belongs to the Yakuza – Japanese Mafia…love those tattoos!!!!) and his mission is to get, by whatever means it requires even if having to seduce or kill summer - the bowl before it gets into the cult’s hands – it’s a very powerful relic which could destroy the world. Summer has a lot of issues which she has to resolve before she can move forward in the growing relationship with the sexy, mysterious, dangerous Takara, who I really loved. He’s such an interesting character…and the secondary characters are very cool….especially Reno, his cousin who will get his own story soon….the scenes in Japan are fabulous….compelling family secrets… This is a great suspenseful story in the series that take you on a roller coast filled with action, romance and much more Fabulous read. Can’t wait for the next book.
The Book Description: Museum curator Summer Hawthorne considered the exquisite ice-blue ceramic bowl given to her by her beloved Japanese nanny a treasure of sentimental value—until somebody tried to kill her for it. The priceless relic is about to ignite a global power struggle that must be stopped at all costs. It's a desperate situation, and international operative Takashi O'Brien has received his directive: everybody is expendable. Everybody. Especially the woman who is getting dangerously under his skin as the lethal game crosses the Pacific to the ...more

Shawn, the beautiful and gorgeous brother, is the chef in the family’s pub but its music that fills his heart. He has composed many songs which he has done nothing about being recorded and that’s where Brenna O’Toole, the sassy and no nonsense red-haired childhood friend comes in.
She begins to feel more than friendship for Shawn and after telling him she wants to have sex with him to curb the “itch” she feels – wow…this is a totally outspoken woman….no beating around the bush!!!!!, they embark on an intense and passionate affair, after telling each other that it’s only sex and nothing else.
But Carrick is having none of that…Shawn is now living in Faerie Hill Cottage and meets both Lady Gwen & Carrick, who kicks his butt a few times to get him to see the “light” and find his true love – BRENNA.
The dialogue between Shawn & Brenna is at times so hilarious that I found myself laughing out loud a few times. These two were always meant to be together...forever... And of course we do now know that Carrick is not giving up. I adored the interaction between the two humans and the ghost and fairy prince. I mean…should Shawn be listening to Carrick’s advice!!!!...he did not exactly do the right job with Lady Gwen!!!!
We get to see the joy in Aiden & Jude’s lives as they discover that they will soon become parents. Gorgeous Darcy is still looking for a rich man to take her to see the world …..
What a warm, amazing family and friends they are. Lots of things are going to change in Ardmore and more so in the Gallaghers’ lives. Onward to the next and final book…….what happens in Darcy’s life!!!! ...more
Why haven’t I read this series before??? I've had it on my TBR list for a while and kind of had forgottenI’m trying to keep up with Jory Keyes!!!!!!!
Why haven’t I read this series before??? I've had it on my TBR list for a while and kind of had forgotten about it. Thank you Annie….reading your review had me grab Vol 1 and begin and adventure with a character that is totally unforgettable!
By then end I was suffering from whiplash. Truly!! Glued to my chair, I kept turning page after page as I followed this totally adorable man’s life, dodging bullets and thugs, dancing nights away at clubs, caring for the friends he loves, giving out advice, wearing different colored socks, and….and ……whew…let me take a breather here for a sec!!!! Let me say that Jory is anything but boring!!!!! He’s a force of nature that no one is able to resist. Me…I was beyond resisting….I ADORED him. He’s totally UNFORGETTABLE!!! And not because he's totally beautiful and gorgeous..oh have I said that before????
I can't help myself....(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] By now, after all those fab reviews before mine, everyone pretty much knows the story line – young, gorgeous gay man and straight…uhm…male cop, meet. It’s something like a GFY story and so much more. Adventure, action, betrayals, love, friendship, family – everything I love in a romantic love story…because, yes, this is a love story!!!
I loved that the story is written from Jory’s POV. It became more than such an intimate experience for me. I felt I was his best friend. We talked to each other. He opened his heart to me and no one else. I felt his happiness, his aspirations and I was in his life forever.
Another aspect that made the story resonate for me was the vivid and brilliant dialogue between the many and varied characters (my fav right now is the mysterious and who and what is he exactly...Dane Harcourt, Jory's boss), which is another way in getting to know who the person is and what they are all about. Jory's view on life......or rather advice-giving to his friend
"This is gonna sound really weird like crazy woo-woo weird but you gotta go with it, and don't get mad, just open up your mind to the possibility that I'm not the end of your journey, but merely a signpost along the way."
Getting to know Jory and Sam is an eye-opener!!! Jory is comfortable being who he is, open and honest….but Sam struggles to come to terms with what he feels for Jory. He doesn’t believe he’s gay or want to be and is torn between what he thinks is what he wants in his life…a wife and kids…and what he feels for this special man!!! He has to find the courage to face this conflict that has suddenly appeared in his life. I so liked their interaction with each other... Jory has just been kidnapped, shot, dodged the killers, wakes up in hospital, decides to flee the place and walks out into the dark and cold night……zillions of fone calls later, Sam finds him about to say hello to the sidewalk and takes him home. Next morning, after being taken good care by Sam, he’s snug and warm in the bed…..check their next conversation –
I looked up at his face as he sipped coffee from a plain black mug. "Can I have some of that?" I asked, squinting at him. I heard his long exhale. "Sure. How do you take it?" "Just cream, no sugar. It needs to be blonde like me." "Okay," he said gently, the corner of his lip curling. "Be right back.
So I stood beside him while he put his half down and then walked out ahead of him.
"You wanna cuff me so people don't think we're dating?" I asked him casually.
"No one in their right mind would think we were together."
|spent a lot of time hating Sam. He’s domineering, snarky, and damn cruel and insensitive towards Jory….I wanted to hit him so many times and to tell Jory to get this guy out of his life…like right now!!! He deserved better!!! I wanted him to find someone who cared and loved him for who he is and not some man who blows hot and cold. Sam, I may begin to like you in the future...
...but before that...you need to make right what you have put Jory through!!! Twit, you are at this moment!!!!
But I could not forget how torn apart I felt so many times as I saw these two characters doing things that just blew me away. Jory just runs away when he can’t deal with his feelings…much the same as Sam does.
By the end of Book 2 – there are two parts in this story – I was hyperventilating!!! What the hell….Is it possible that all things can actually happen in a person’s live???? Yes, it felt believable and real and plausible to me – perhaps it had something to do with the author’s writing………the lovely flow of the story, the characters that get into your head….who cares!!! I enjoyed a trip with Jory!!
Jory is like a Jack-in-the-Box….if anything can happen to a person...it happens to him. Chaos reigns around this man!! He’s all over the place!!!
And WHAT!!!!! Sam are you TOTALLY INSANE????
I think I might have rambled on a bit here…but can’t help myself. I am diving into Vol 2 right away!!!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more

It’s the story of Destiny, a vampire hunter and her lifemate Nicolae, who is one of the most amazing Carpathian males. Not the usual overbearing male but one who shows patience, gentleness and patience towards the woman he has finally found that will save his soul. They have been connected through their minds since Destiny had been tortured and abused by a vampire who had kidnapped her after killing her family. I love Mary Ann…what a fabulous woman …..who befriends Destiny and I am sure she will be appearing in future books…is the first person who can get through the pain and suffering Destiny has suffered all her life. The relationship between Nicolae and Destiny is amazing….they way they care for each other…Destiny fighting her attraction for him to prevent him being infected by her vampire blood and his strength in holding back his need to bond her to him shows amazing courage. Love the way they shift and become eagles, owls flying high in the night sky, all those incredible caves filled with flowing waterfalls, shining minerals, the way the soil covers them as they go to sleep… Both overcome all the obstacles and finally find happiness together….. Oh yes….love Vikirnoff, Nicolae’s brother…..what gorgeous men…..can’t wait to read his story !!!!! I loved Phury & Cormia's story ......more if that's at all possible....after my 4th read!!!!!
I think that Phury is probably one of the most underrated brothers...there's so much more to him than just being Z's twin!!!!!
I am even beginning to "feel" for the Scribe Virgin...yes I am...her perfect world is just fading away..leaving her lonely and so alone!!!!
AND I JUST KEEP WANTING TO READ THIS SERIES OVER AND OVER AGAIN - IT'S
2nd Review After rereading this book I still find it the one I like the least... Phury is just not as interesting as he was in previous books and Cormia kinda fades into the background....perhaps if there had been more about their relationship in this book I may have had a different opinion about them. There are so many sub-plots and characters....my head reeled....who, what...where/???? Of course I devoured each word on Qhuinn....I just adore this guy....I wish he could be mine.......he's hot hot hot.... I am trying to read slowly .....make the next two books last longer...know what I mean!!!!!!! Qhuinn...you rock baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
1st Review I only discovered JR WARD’s books early this year and had no idea what this series was about but I found some of her books on a special price section of my local bookstore and finding the covers and titles quite different and interesting…I thought? Why not? So I bought the first 4 books in the series.
I became totally addicted. I couldn’t stop reading….as soon as I finished the one I began on the next and before I got to the 4th book I had bought the entire series. What fascinates me about her books is that each one has different plot lines, different POV’S, sub-plots and there are secondary characters that we meet and continue to grow so one has a sense of getting to know a little bit more about them and kept in suspense of WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT!!!!
This book is the 6th book in the series and it’s not really one of my favorites..I am not saying I didn’t like it it’s just that It’s Phury and Cormia’s story but it does not focus that much on them. There is so much happening with other characters that you kind of lose track of their story … Phury is very different to the brothers in the previous books. He’s an angst-ridden, artistic, guilt ridden by being secretly in love with Zsadist’s (his twin brother)shellan, Bella, He has spent his life- hundreds of years - making sacrifices for others even giving up one of his legs and celibacy to save Zsadist from slavery and torture. His struggles with his addiction to red smoke and then onto to heroin which nearly kills him.. He’s so out of control that Wrath kicks him out of the Brotherhood….which I thought was pretty grim…even his own brother turned against him. Being the person he is…self-sacrificing ---always putting others before himself…doing everything for others safety, even the cost to his life, he volunteers to take Vishous place as Primale to the Chosen so that V can stay with Jane. Phury will now have to mate with one of the Chosen to continue the pure line of the next generation of the Chosen and the Brotherhood. His first duty is to mate with Cormia, one of the Chosen who we met in Lover Unbound, who is sweet and gentle and falls in love with him despite his problems…she, sees the other side…how noble and great person he is. But despite knowing he’s in love with Bella, she wants his love and body for herself and no one else, not even to share with the other Chosen. Phury soon realizes that he wants only Cormia but can he forsake his duty as a Primale? Their journey takes quite a turn and Phury finally finds a purpose in his life and a solution to the problem with the Chose. …. absolutely amazing. I really admired his courage in not giving up on something he believed was right and moral. He finally finds joy and peace in his life with the woman he loves at his side. The sensuality between them is pure and hot…the real hot scenes happen more between the secondary characters. . I would have loved to see a bit more romance in the story.
Lots of side plots going on in this book…...I really liked the part where we meet the new brothers..John Mathews who goes through his transition, Qhuinn …love this brother…hot hot….and Blay…..a bit bland…. Just love these sexy, gorgeous guys….black leather, designer labels, the talk..wow…wish I could meet one of them!!!!! It’s another world out there..….exciting, dangerous, dark and oh so cool!!!!!I couldn’t wait to read more about them in the next books…I just know we will get to know them really well. Then there’s Bella’s brother Rhev, a sinful looking sympathy, dealer of drugs who owns a nightclub and wears a long sable coat…..he’s a dark and interesting character. The lesser are back with a bang….lots of action, fights… a new leader called X and Lash …what a depraved guy!!!! There’s bound to be more about him in the next books. And Xhex, the amazon who works at Rhev’s club –wow what a woman!!! I actually believed that she was a gay woman….why I am not sure…just she is so strong, remote, complex and shows no interest in the men around her….I loved her character….sure she will appear in her own book soon…..
I liked this book much more the second time I read it. I felt a bit more connected to Phury and Cormia’s HEA than the first time I read it
What I love about this series is the great, strong dialogue and the way the writer makes me feel that I am actually there…I can see the white colors in the Fade, feel the softness of that sable coat –….you can see, smell, taste, feel and hear everything in her books. I am so crazy for this series that I read each book over and over again and find them just as exciting as the first time I read them....more

Dorian ChThe 5th book in Nalini Singh’s incredible Psy/Changeling Series, continues the world-building of the new societies that threaten world peace.
Dorian Christensen is a sentinel and sniper in the DarkRiver pack and struggles with his uniqueness of being a latent leopard changeling…..he is unable to shift into his animal form. He has an undying hatred for the Psy, after the terrible loss at their hands and when he’s asked to help kidnap a PSY child, he finds himself at a crossroad.
Ashaya, a brilliant Psy scientist has begun questioning the world of Silence and asks a favor from the DarkRiver pack to kidnap and keep her son safe from the Psy.
Such a good pairing….Dorian feels torn by the feelings he has for her….she’s part of a race that he hates with all his heart. Ashaya feels threatened by Dorian – Silence, the very thing she believes will keep her and her son safe is being eroded by him. Giving in to their feelings might mean death and chaos to them and to those they love.
This was such an emotional story. Filled with suspense, fear of the unknown, action, romance and love.
A great continuation to, what has become one of my favorite PNR series. ...more

This book has been on my TBR list for quite a while and after a reviewer mentioned that Kele Moon’s books are similar to Barbara Elsborg, whose novels I absolutely loved, decided to read it. I had no idea what an intense read I was in for!!!!!! I have never really cared for erotica BDSM genre and was a bit hesitant at first, so glad I did not give up because I would have missed out on an incredible love story.
Yes, Beyond Eden is a complex and beautiful, dark and poignant, romantic and painful journey that three childhood friends take, the choices they have to make to finding true happiness together, being given a second chance. Having to make some hard decisions in their lives that will forever change them.
I found drawn to Paul, Danny & Eve from the very beginning. Incredibly believable, engaging and I felt so emotionally connected – their pain, the incredible love they felt for each other. The character development is truly amazing…it’s not just about the sex but so much more.
The imagery is so vividly written – I could almost feel the leaves rustling, the heat and steam, tasted Cuban coffee, the smell of Danny’s cigarette…and so much more!!
The sex scenes were hot, sensual and even though some of the more “intense” BDSM scenes took me somewhat out of my “comfort” zone, they were written in such a way that, whilst painful and totally something I am not familiar with, still managed to pull me in and was able to, for me at least, believe that this was totally part of the love had felt for each other.
I did feel the sadness and the struggle between the trio and I was pulling my hair out thinking that something would happen to keep them apart. The decisions they made just before the epilogue really got to me. No way. This could not be happening!!!! But wow!!!!!!!!! What an ending. I loved it. I loved these guys and it will be a long time before I can get them out of my head!!!! And I knew in my heart…..that LOVE ALWAYS TRIUMPHS IN THE END!!!!!!!!! I would love to read more about Paul, Danny & Eve …..They have a place in my heart.
I am truly amazed that this is Kele Moon’s debut novel….and what a fantastic and outstanding one it is. I am definitely going to be reading more of her books.
So, if you like a story that is heart-wrenching, well-written, romantic, dark and erotic, with unbelievable characters that pull at your heart-strings, then read this book.
Now, having said all of the above, I am still not sure if I want to read a totally BDSM novel – the whole pain, whipping and submissive and Dom still does not do it for me…I need romance and that’s what I liked about Beyond Eden more than anything else……the ultimate being the love they had for each other and that the whole fetish side was not the focal point in their relationship. Geez, I think I am tripping over my words here…..JUST…I liked this book. ...more

Though this story is dark and deals with obsession more than romance oBackwoods by Cara McKenna is one book that really got me hooked on m/m romance. Though this story is dark and deals with obsession more than romance or love and for me a real new, fresh and well-written book in this genre.
The plot is used frequently , where the straight macho male suddenly one days finds himself attracted to a man and how much he fights this new and unknown feeling but here we find such an emotional, complex story, filled with angst, sensuality and how amazing….none of those repetitive sex scenes!!!!
I became so enthralled with the two main protagonists, Shane, the hard uber alpha male, suddenly losing it all when he meets Gabriel…omg…this is some man – dark, sexy with a hint of mystery and something you can’t exactly put your finger on….just that he’s the kind of guy a man or woman could go crazy and mad about.
The sex scenes are explicit and burning hot….I could feel the heat myself!!!!
The backdrop is absolutely stunning….the backwoods out somewhere…and you’re telling me that this happens in those places??? What, with all these rough and ready men, comes this exotic creature like Gabriel that has all the locals – men and women – panting for him – which of course our hero just loves!!!! He doesn’t care who he does it with …he will do it if he wants…and poor old Shane just does not get it!!!! I felt for Shane at times but his total behavior – dominance, dominance… and the whole “boy” thing really got to me at times, but in the end, I felt him, his whole world exploding before his eyes and all because of this fey Gabriel!!!! This is raw and sometimes cruel sex between two men, both fighting against something that I am not sure what it was.
The ending introduces a real surprise and I wonder where it will go in the next book. Well written, great character development, interesting settings that had me wanting to jump right into the next book in the series. Oh yes, forgot…I loved this book!!!! ...more

This time he’s sent Nicolo to buy a vineyard in Bella Tuscany……….a place I most love in Europe.
This is definitely my favorite book in this mini-series.
I fell totally for Nicoloand I adoredPrincipessa Alessia Antoninni.
The sexy son of a “thug” and a princess descent from the aristocratic de Medici family - okay never mind that her father has squandered the family fortune...at least they still have their titles!!!!! …..what an awesome combination!!!!!!!!! Alessia is such a fabulous character…quirky, snobbish like all aristos are….and totally adorable.
Their first meeting is an absolute hoot!!! Outside the airport, Alessia crashes into Nicolo’s Ferrari..totally her fault of course. So what happens next is so hilarious…..
“First you try to walk through me. Now you try to drive through me!” His mouth thinned. “Did you ever hear of paying attention to what you’re doing?”
You see, Alessia is a TERRIBLE driver, which you discover a bit later….so on to her reply…
So much for easing the tension. Alessia drew herself up. “I don’t like your attitude.” “You don’t like my attitude?” He laughed. The laugh was ugly. Insulting. Alessia narrowed her eyes. “There is no point to this conversation,” she said coldly. “I suggest we exchange insurance information. There has been no injury to either of us and only the slightest one to your vulgar automobile. I will, therefore, forgive your insulting attitude.” “My car is vulgar? My attitude is insulting, but you will forgive it?” The man glared at her. “What the hell is with this country anyway?”
Alessia, did you not see what car he's driving..it's a FERRARI!!!
The interaction between these two throughout the book is absolutely fantastic. Sandra Marton really writes great dialogue. It’s one of the things I like about her writing. Witty and sparkly that you just can’t help smiling as you are reading the lines.
And the sexual tension and chemistry….hot and wow…never mind that they start off disliking each other…she thinks he’s a peasant and he thinks she’s just a spoilt and useless woman who uses her looks and title to get everything she wants. But both are so wrong….and soon they begin a scorching affair……..Nico is so romantic…when he takes her to the villa he has arranged for their first time together……SWOON!!!!!!!! SO SO ROMANTIC…. And their love scenes are passionate and hot enough to start a fire…burning hot.
But soon things go awry….her dissolute father who has been using her mother’s health to blackmail Alessia into doing his bidding, does something really nasty and Nico is not prepared to listen to her side of the story. He feels betrayed and she discovers she’s pregnant. Nico believes she did this on purpose to get his money….so far from the truth…but being the alpha male, Nico refuses to believe anything she says.
He takes her to New York and what he does next is totally reprehensible…not giving anything else away and let’s just say that, with some prodding from his lovely family, he does redeem himself in the end and lucky for him that he did….as I just so wanted to “sock” him in his jaw.
I loved how this family’s story has progressed through the four books and just in case you might think that this is the end to Cesare “Machiavellian” Orsini’s plans…it’s absolutely not!!! He may be rubbing his hands in glee…seeing all his plans come together in finding a suitable wife for each of his sons….don’t forget…he still has two lovely daughters, Anna and Isabella and he has plans for them too!!!!!!!!! Now to look forward to the Orsini Brides….wow ....I am loving this Orsini Dynasty. ...more

A world filled with vampires, demons, valkyries, witches, demons, ghouls, and many others. There’s romance, action, suspense and wit that you can’t wait to turn the next page to find out what happens next. Some of the dialogue had me shrieking with laughter…..check it out…... Emma – “How old?” Lachlain – Roughly twelve hundred years.” She gasped. “Do you know what “robbing the cradle” means? I am almost seventy one. This skeeves me out!”
"Hey, Lucia," Regin called out, not even bothering to mute the phone. "Pay up, suckah, Emma got dental with some dude—"
"You can have him, kitties," she hissed for their ears only.
Christ, he couldn't do this. "How do you drink?" She mumbled, "Liquid goes into my mouth, whereby I swallow it."
Is your blouse Azzedine Alaia?" the girl showing them to their table asked Emma. She answered, "No, you could say it's very authentic vintage."
"Lachlain, have you ever heard of a Wal-Mart? No? Something like that is probably on top of your castle right now."
Was she becoming this Lykae's Patty Hearst?
"I am Lachlain. Who are you?" "I'm the foster mother who's going to annihilate you if you don't send her home right now.
Bowe raised his eyebrows, demonstrating the most emotion Lachlain had seen from him since his mate had left him. "A vampire queen? Fate must hate you." More examination while Lachlain scowled. "Her ears are pointed?"

I am back into the dark world of the Fae,….. MacKayla Lane has discovered and accepted and come to terms of the gift of being a sidhe seer, with special powers, one of these being the ability to sense the Sinsar Dubh, an ancient book of the blackest magic even seen, which holds the key to the balance of power between the Fae and humans. It’s the only thing that will save humanity from being destroyed by the Fae.
I am so totally crazy about Mac. I love her view of her world…she’s lost a bit of that “I’m so into pink”…not totally at this point. She realizes that she will do anything to survive..she will bend the any rules, make alliances with anyone who can help her find her sister’s killer, fulfill Alina’s last request before she died and the answer to what her role is in this power struggle between humans and fae? You can still feel her vulnerability, her insecurities but as she discovers more about herself, the stronger and more determined she becomes. When she says “What had changed was me” at the end, I realized how far she has come and how much more she will have to go through before finding all the answers. I loved Mac’s optimism…even when things look dark and scary she still tries to see a bit of “sun, pink” ahead of her. She has such an amazing way of analyzing things that are happening in her life…and wow….it’s like going on a rollercoaster ride. Non-stop action!!!!!!!!!
She is still living at Barron’s Books & Baubles..I love this bookstore…I could live there forever, surrounded by books and nothing else…no wait…I would want Jericho Barrons with me there with me!!!!!!!
Jericho Z Barrons – I AM SO TOTALLY INTO HIM!!!!! He’s one of the most exciting heroes’ in a book, EVER…amazing, mysterious, secretive, gorgeous, sexy, stylish, rich, classy….I could go on and on…but u get the idea ……he’s beyond HOT…he’s the kind of man any woman would be dazzled, fascinated and…enthralled by!!!!!!!! This is not a romance series, has no or very few sex scenes but you can certainly feel the chemistry, the heat, the sizzle between him and Mac..of course both try to fight it and I can’t wait to see what happens between the two. Jericho is very protective over Mac but does he have an ulterior motive? What is he? A seelie, unseelie, druid, fae…how old is this guy…is he immortal ……she can feel something in him that is not totally human. Can she trust him? What does he want from her?
And then, there’s V’lane….I keep thinking…lane, lane…is there any connection or meaning to Mac’s family name Lane???? The Seelie Prince who also wants something from her…but is he really who he says he is???? What does he want from Mac? She knows he is not telling her everything but she decides to forge an alliance with him as well…which drives Jericho crazy of course!!!!! In the growing darkness, V’lane is the one who takes her to the Faery world …..where she spends time in the sun…..loved the scene on the beach in Cancun…really funny….and when Mac spends time with her sister…that was so poignant.
Mac discovers she is not the only sidhe seer and tries to link up with them but their Mistress, Rowena, who Mac first met in Darkfever, is not prepared to have her join the group unless she agrees to obey her..which of course Mac is so just not going to do!!!!!!!! What give up her spear??? Rowena is such a wicked character…I so hate her and hope she comes to a really gruesome ending!!!!!!!!
Her characters are so vivid, so real, so believable. Fast story pacing made me at times so breathless like I had was running a marathon!!!!! Dani, the teenage sidhe seer with her sword and “speed”, Malluce…we discover what happens to this vampire…and what evil he does to Mac…shiver……the Lord Master, who Mac still believes killer her sister (imo…he didn’t) but he’s definitely dark….and evil…I mean bringing the evil and ugly unseelie into the human world…. Christian…loved how the author brings in a bit from her Highlander Series….
The more we learn about Mac’s world, the more questions come up. You think you know something…and then…wam…so totally different to what you thought!!!!!!!
This is such a compelling series…I just can’t get enough. Non-stop reading……Can’t wait to start book 3 next. Karen Marie Moning is an incredible writer and I can’t get enough of her stories.
I liked the Glossary at the back of the book…explains Mac’s World and also you get to know how to pronounce all those Celtic words!!!!!!! ...more

Lily Rose (adore her name…) believes in love and HEA’s. Despite being an unwanted orphan and being let down and betrayed, she has not let it change her mind…
Nik Zervakis, is an enigmatic, gorgeous, sexy and very very rich Greek billionaire (ooh, I love Greek heroes..they are my absolute favorite – of course, it could have something to do with the fact that my late husband love of my life was a Greek hero…)
Now, Nik does not believe in love, in marriage and only does sex!!!! So, what we have are two total opposites!!! What could possibly get Lily & Nik together???
Lily has a checklist for finding her perfect man!!!
” I know the basic qualities I need in a man to be happy. I never date anyone who doesn't score highly on my three points.” ''First, he has to be affectionate. I'm not interested in a man who can't show his feelings. Second, he has to be honest, but short of getting him to take a lie detector test I don't know how to check that one. 'I want a man with strong family values. He has to want a family.
The problem is that she falls in love with all the wrong guys….she thinks that they fit the ticks in her boxes but instead turn out to be liars and cheats….just like her last boyfriend, who turned out to be married and never told her!!!
Lily is going to take control of her life. Forget love…..she’s going to try rebound sex!!!
Her new adventure begins when she meets Nik, her boss, in his house, which she’s cleaning to make ends meet…in his bathroom….. WHAT A HILARIOUS SCENE!!!!! I was rolling on the floor with laughter!!!
She decides that Nik is just the right guy to practice rebound sex with………after all he’s not into the love thing….and what a luck…he totally agrees and they come to an agreement to have sex with no strings!!!!
But sometimes rules don’t really work. Nik is fascinated by Lily’s joie de vivre and lovable demeanor and Lily finds herself wanting to be his favorite person………something she has always wanted to be. Nik tries hard not to fall in love with Lily – she is of course head over heels in love with him. Lily is like a breath of fresh air………the dialogue between the two is absolutely fabulous…Lily never stops talking –
there’s no ;hidden agenda in her life. and Nik cannot resist her!!!! Yay!!!!
Nik & Lily’s HEA is sweet, emotional and witty………….and loved that she found her prince……
And just to end off my rave about these two adorable characters going off into the sunset after finding their HEA……..let me say that I, too…..

It’s a multi-layered, complex, intense, painful, dark, hopeful, sad and emotional journey of two men bound together by the tragic death of a woman. Linc, who caused her death and Jay, who lost a wife. How does one overcome the guilt, the sorrow and able to move on with your life?
I have wanted to read this book for a very long time but I kept putting it off – not quite sure why. Was it the subject of the story? Too much angst and too dark? Perhaps too much sorrow and grief? But this book just kept getting into my head – “pulling” me, telling me - READ IT!!! So finally opened the first page and kept turning page after page, asking myself why I waited so long!!!
I fell in love with Linc & Jay and I wanted so badly for them to be able to overcome all the obstacles in their way so they could be together. They were in my heart and just never let go. Flawed and not perfect characters that I felt so connected with, felt their despair, their growing attraction and love whilst fighting inner demons.
The secondary characters were amazingly written – how each one – Jay’s family, his in-laws, Linc’s sister and her children dealt with the situation was done so well and believable. The scene where Linc talks to his teenage nephew was so uplifting, and so too was when Linc meets Jay’s mother-in-law at the cemetery – it was the most heart-wrenching, sad and at the same time so uplifting as well. And Jay, in the hospital, talking to his father about his life and Linc…geez, my eyes felt moist right there!!!!
So much passion, angst – the chemistry between the two men is incredible and some really hot and sizzling erotic scenes. But most of all what I loved was seeing the gradual progress of their relationship – forgiving and finding redemption and having their HEA. How they could overcome grief and loss and find love again.
There were some OTT scenes in the plot, it didn't really bother me that much or detract me enjoying the story.
Sloan Parker has written an incredible story, which will stay with me long after I finished the last page.
I can’t wait for the epilogue.
And I really loved the cover.
Some of my favorite scenes/quotes –
Dark Eyes leaned his upper body in close, almost touching Jay’s arm. That rattled him out of his trance. Damn, he’d been staring at the man for too long. The husky whisper as Dark Eyes spoke did nothing to aid Jay in regaining his concentration. “Quit looking at me like that, kid. Unless you’re willing to back it up.” Oh God. Maybe the flirting had gone better than Jay thought.
Jay – “I think that, if Katie still exists somewhere, she made sure we found each other. It would bother her how much you were hurting. And she would want you to have someone. She would want me to love someone again.”
Whether or not he could forget what happened, Lincoln had a chance at a future, a life he thought he’d never have. He reached for Jay, pressed his lips to the man’s neck, and held on. Maybe, Jay was meant to be his after all. Maybe they were meant to fall in love. To save each other.
That was the most poignant and beautiful scene and totally UNFORGETTABLE!!! ...more

It's such an emotional and heart-wrenching story and it touches my heart each time I read it.
Second chances, family betrayals, endearing hero/heroine that you bond with from the very beginning. You feel their pain, their heartache, their loss and you just want them to find each other again and move on together and find true happiness.
I absolutely loved the epilogue. Love and forgiveness and a chance to finding true happiness together and building a family filled with love and care.
I have a secret…….when it comes to reading books …it’s like living with OCD….you know…obsessive compulsive disorder!!!!! If I start reading the firstI have a secret…….when it comes to reading books …it’s like living with OCD….you know…obsessive compulsive disorder!!!!! If I start reading the first book in a series I have to read them all……what a luck that my friend gave me the first 12 or 13 books in the Dark Series….which I finished reading nonstop for the next two weeks….and before I reached book 12, I had in my possession the entire series (after doing a web search to find where they could be bought!!!). Hunger…that’s what I felt……turning each page, reading the next book….I had to know more about these amazing characters…….
With each new book, I discover new exciting, interesting characters…….the books just keeping getting better and better.
DARK LEGEND is the 8th book in Christine Feehan’s Dark Series where we meet the ancient Carpathians, twin brothers Gabriel and Lucian Daratraznoff, who were thought to be dead. Gabriel had injured Lucian who had turned to the other side…i.e. became a vampire during a battle and to protect their people and all humankind buried them both until Gabriel could decide if he could really kill the brother he loved and cared for so much.
Thousands of years later, Gabriel is awakened from their burial place in a Paris cemetery and knows he has to find his brother before he goes on a killing spree. He discovers a different world from the one he knew and whilst looking for someone to feed his hunger, meets Francesca del Ponce, a beautiful, talented healer has dedicated her life to helping the sick and poor living in the streets.
Francesca is the first Carpathian woman in the series has turned away from her people and home hundreds of years ago when she was rejected by Gabriel, who she recognized as her lifemate. She had made a new life and ensuring that neither Carpathian or vampire would find her.
She’s shocked when she recognizes Gabriel, who she thought had died. Recognizing her as his lifemate he is determined to do everything in his power for her to give him another chance. Francesca struggles with the feeling she has for Gabriel and how can she ever forgive him? Gabriel is tormented by the love he feels for his brother and the anguish of having to kill him.
We are taken to a magical world filled with characters we know and introduced to new ones. Skyler, who becomes the ward of Gabriel and Francesca, breaks your heart….the cruelty and suffering she has seen and felt…..there’s is definitely a story about her……a dark mystery…. We briefly meet Lucian and there is that twist to the brother’s lives…..is Lucien really a vampire? Will Gabriel have to kill his own brother?
This is a touchingly romantic book filled with passion, love, anguish, pain, sexy, erotic and belief in the people you love. I can’t wait for the next book. ...more
