So here I go...
WOW. I cannot say how much I loved this book! I wasn't so sure about it in the beginning but I kept at it and as usual for a KA book I was sucked in and wasn't let go until all of the drama, hurt, love, and happy endings unfolded. I don't know what it is about this book that I love so much, honestly. I usually like books with a good deal of drama or extreme situations (like some of KA others books with abuse, kidnappings, rescues, yada yada yada) and this book (with the exception of a couple instances) wasn't chalked full of those kind of situations and yet by the last page I knew I just read a great book. There isn't a specific theme or even scene that made me fall in love with this book, but it was 100% the characters. They ROCK. They are so real, they talk out their shit (THANK GOD!), they deal with their problems like real people. and I love it.
I love the different point of views and love that KA even put in the POV of the kids in this book! I love the interactions between siblings, friends, and parents. She pulls in the characters from her past books which is so fun. I really don't know what else to say then this book just rocked. It's real, it's fun, I teared up, laughed, and smiled throughout the whole thing.
So in closing, (I feel like I am writing a essay for my high school teacher haha), read this book. You like drama? this book as enough to keep you reading, but this book has GREAT characters and a great storyline. I love Mike (total alpha male... gotta love that) and Dusty. I love their story and I love the things they are willing to do for their friends and family.
I have so much more to say but if I went on I would end just giving you a play by play of the book... so I'll stop and let you go buy it and enjoy it for yourself!! ...more
Amazing! Such a great book! Loved seeing all of the characters back in action (and the surprise character there at the end :)). Kristen Ashley writesAmazing! Such a great book! Loved seeing all of the characters back in action (and the surprise character there at the end :)). Kristen Ashley writes another amazing book, I literally have no idea how she can keep doing it!!!
Chace is the bossiest man I have ever "met", and yet he is sweet, tender, and not afraid to show how much he loves his girl. I love Faye, she doesn't play games, she a geek...and we like all the same TV shows ;).
I love that Kristen can write over 30 different heroines and I can see bits of myself and my friends in each one. I connect with each woman, root for them, laugh and cry with them, and celebrate when they land their hot guys (to emotionally involved? I think not!). I love that I have falled in love with everyone of KA's heroes... if someone pointed a gun to my head and told me to choose which KA hero I would have to marry and spend the rest of my life with (and be madly and deeply in love with each other) I can see it going down something like this:
potential shooter: Choose a KA hero!
Me:" uuuhhh FRICK!... uuhhhhh, ok, Mike! NO WAIT! Mitch!! WAIT NO!! DAX!! Yeah DAX!! actually wait no... I burn easily... I would say Tack but he is just so good with Tyra. OK, think Natalie THINK! Can I choose upcoming heroes, I think I'll like Shy! Or how about I choose top 10 and we just cycle them?!
Potential shooter: "Are you kidding me right now?"
Me: "If I say no will you shoot me? *shooters eyes narrow*...I take that as a yes... CHACE!! BUT WAIT I forgot about Fin! He's not a main hero but I mean I wouldn't say no..."
Needless to say there is a good chance I would end up shot... or the shooter would just walk away head shaking...:)
All this to say, the book rocked. I'll most likely be re-reading it in like 2 days when I start getting the shakes from KA withdrawals. ...more
4.5 stars!! I loved this book. I have been waiting for Apollo's book since the first book of the series came out. I knew his story had the potential t4.5 stars!! I loved this book. I have been waiting for Apollo's book since the first book of the series came out. I knew his story had the potential to be amazing and as usual, KA delivered!
I had a couple "worries" going into this book; I worried about dumb misunderstandings being something that kept Apollo and Ilsa (Maddie) apart, I was worried Apollo would try to make Maddie into something she isn't (aka his dead wife). I was worried that Apollo wouldn't be able to overcome his grief and fall in love with Maddie in a way that would satisfy me.
I was SO happy that none of these things really happened. The things that this couple had to overcome were mostly "outside" difficulties. The couple itself had a couple things to straighten out but for the most part once they "got on board" with the relationship they stuck to it. SUCH A RELIEF!!
As with any book there were a couple of slow parts, but over all I LOVED this book and was seriously dreading coming to the end of it. Although, I think I would have loved ever more "Happily Ever After" parts in the end, just because I have been waiting so long for it ;). I can't wait until the final installment of this series (although while reading this book I saw multiple characters that could also have great stories (hint hint Kristen!)
I think she has an amazing imagination and as much as I love almost every single one of her other books, I think I love this series as a whole the best!! I love being transported into this other world (someone please find a way for me to go there!), and I think I re-read these books the most of all the KA books I own.
So well done KA! Another win in my book, keep up the great work and don't leave us Noc-lovers hanging to long!!!...more

So funny!!! Light-hearted and a quick read. I flew through it giggle, chuckling and out and out laughing the whole way. The other reviews go into more details about the book, so check them out! But I will say it is totally worth the time and money!
LOVE LOVE LOVED Violet. And let's be real, how often can you say that about the female lead?! I loved her verbal diarrhea. While most of us don't actually say all that out loud I feel like we can definitely hear similarities between what she says and what/HOW we think. Or at least I do!
Zane was super hot and perfect. I mean he had his slap-able moments, but that just makes it that much better.
So anyways, READ IT! You won't be sorry and you'll probably laugh your ass off. ...more
