This is a modern day "Romeo & Juliet". A family feud keeping a young Melody and Luke apart leading to heartache. Years later they are thrust together to save the town. Among all the chaos love blooms once again.
What more could you want from this series? Only thing I have to say on the negative side is that I wish the series didn't have to end. Oh well, all good things must end.

This is a story about best friends becoming lovers. Zoey is a flighty and impulsive girl who can't seem to settle down and grow up. Jericho is the Yang to Zoeys Yin. Best friends from early childhood they seem to balance each other out. Jericho, who has had the hots for Zoey since their teens, arrives back in Cupid to try and overcome a "situation" that happened at his last job. Zoey is trying out archaeology as a lark only to discover it may be her calling.
Add some sparks flying between Zoey and Jericho, some dirt, a tribal legend, a dash of mystery, and a secret someone wants to keep hidden. What do you get? A fabulous read.
Even though this book is part of the Cupid, TX series it can stand alone. I highly recommend this book. ...more

I really enjoyed this book. I liked that all the stories were intertwined. The only thing I really have to say on a somewhat negative note is that I would have liked them to all have been longer.
All the stories take place in Twilight, Texas. The town has a legend about two star-crossed lovers that got seperated during the Civil War. They reunited 15 years later at twilight on the banks of the river where the town of Twilight is now located. A statue was erected to honor the couple. Over the years there came to be a rumor that if you threw a penny into the foutain that you would be reunited with your high-school sweetheart.
There are 4 novella's included in this book and they are all very good. They tell the stories of Carrie, Raylene, Christine, & Grace. I like that the characters deal with some trials and tribulations that I can relate to.

The story is about Paige (a baker) and Lane (a doctor). Two people from very different backgrounds that find that opposites really do attract. Lane, who is suffering from a bad break-up and betrayal, finds out that not everything has to be completely black or white. Paige, who is still dealing with the loss of her mom, is struggling to find love in small-town, USA. Sparks fly when these two first meet but not in a good way. But with a little help from Paige's BFF and some sultry tropical atmosphere those sparks turn into an inferno of desire.
I really liked this book. It was a fun, quick read. Even though it is part of a series, you don't have to read the previous book to be able to understand everything going on in this book. The story was entertaining and romantic.
However, there were a few things that didn't make this an outstanding read for me. First, the story jumped a little too much. It seemed to me that it didn't flow quite right. Second, I think this book could have been "fleshed out" a little. There was a lot of areas that could have used just a little "more". I honestly think that if this had been done it could have been a Top Read for me.
I just want to say that even with the couple of issues I have stated, this was a really good book and I recommend it to all that want a little tropical escape. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the Suddenly Smitten series....more

This was a quick and fun read that is perfect for a lunch break. The story is about a Siren, Celeste, whose purpose in life is to lure men to the island she lives on with her 2 sisters and suck out their souls for her father, Satan. William is the poor sailor that hears her song and jumps ship to swim to the island. When the two meet there is an attraction that unsettles Celeste to the point that she can't bring herself to take his soul. While trying to figure out what to do with him she hides him in a cave. She comes to him in the middle of the night to once again try to take his soul after drugging him but can't make herself do it. She returns home before her sisters wake and starts to get ready for the day. One of her sisters tells her that their father would be visiting later that day, therefore she has to decide what to do with William. William having discovered what Celeste is, makes up his mind to leave the island or else he would die. When he hears Celeste start her song for the victim of the day he makes a run for it. When he gets to the ocean he sees Celeste in her true form and escapes into back to his ship.
That is the story in a nutshell (left out the...ummm...juicy parts). I really like this short story. It was fun and nicely sized for a quick read. The only thing I have to say I didn't like was that it didn't give you a time line on where it's at. Was this set in ancient times or modern? After reading it I gathered it was modern. It could have used a little more lead in but other than that I'd give it a thumb's up....more

Unfortunately, the second bookAfter reading and being disappointed with the first book in this series, I decided to give this series a second chance. Unfortunately, the second book didn't improve my feelings on this series.
This book is just as badly written as the first. The similarities to the 'Twilight' series keeps popping up. The characters are not any more believable in this book.
Just not worth my money to buy. Good thing there is a library to borrow from so that I'm not wasting my money....more
