Jessie loves her husband, Gabe, very much, but she has a hard time following many of his rules, particularly those related to her safety. She's a little bratty, but not over the top, and this book isn't just about a wife charging too much on her credit cards and getting spanked for it. Choices runs much deeper than that and I was pleased by how realistic the story felt. I also thought Gabe was a great hero, loving but stern with no tolerance for a wife who puts her safety at risk. I look forward to Choices 2 and 3!(less)

Mimi is a great character and I was really rooting for her to get her birthday wish and eventually a happy ending with the mysterious and yummy Paolo. Loved it! I'm not really into menage most of the time, so I decided to steer clear of the first two parts of this short story. Even though I didn't read parts 1 and 2, I still understood everything that was happening in Too Innocent 3 and there was enough back story to at least give Tayna's character a little depth. Tayna is sold to the highest bidder (not the simple voyeur that her friend promised would buy her) and ends up in Athens. The man on the plane warned her to say her name is Marissa and never to reveal her real name to his brother, Dmitri (the person he bought Tayna for for the weekend). Tayna soon finds out Dmitri has been greatly wronged by a woman named Marissa. When she refuses to reveal her real name, he takes his anger out on her with a riding crop and some rough sex, both of which Tayna seems to enjoy. During this weekend, they both get to know each other a little better and Tayna develops feelings for Dmitri, but she's afraid if she reveals her real name, Dmitri's brother won't pay her for the weekend - which would result in her losing her grandfather's house. Just when Tayna decides she'll tell Dmitri who she really is, his brother's men take her back to the states. Don't worry though, there's an HEA. Overall, I really enjoyed this quick read. If you like stories with light BDSM, a tormented hero, a desperate heroine who's slightly in over her head, and a splash of romance, you'll probably enjoy Too Innocent 3.(less)

It's a fast paced short story, but it's not lacking in detail. Elysie and Darien have great chemistry and their discussions are fun - particularly when they are talking about old songs and books. I know a lot of the reviewers here felt they wanted more, but hey - it's a short story and a prequel, so enjoy it for what it is. (less)

The first story, Priestess of Love, has a bit of a paranormal/slightly fem-domme feel to it, and I thought it was pretty hot. The second story, Birthday Reflections, was sweet and sad, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The third story, My Mind to Your Mind, was my favorite of all the stories. I never thought I'd enjoy a "nerd love" story but it was both hot and humorous in places. Trekkies will be heaven with this one! Story four (Kitchen Heat) and story five (Beach Fantasy) were also enjoyable additions to this collection.(less)

Of Yesterday was page turning read with great characters, steamy sex, an intriguing plot, and last but certainly not least – spankings! While the book takes place in modern times, most of the story is set in a 1800s era society that the hero has designed. I enjoyed this premise as well as the details the author uses to paint the picture of an authentic pioneer town. Reading Of Yesterday was truly like stepping back in time. Although I thought the premise was interesting, the characters made the story really come alive and kept me flipping the pages.
Tensions are high between Jason and Taylor when they first meet. Both view the other one as a threat and their budding relationship is initially rocky. I thought Jason was a swoon worthy hero – strong, intelligent, hardworking, and protective of those he cares about. Taylor was his perfect match – feisty, brave, and compassionate. At first she’s shocked that Jason would dare spank her when she doesn’t follow his rules, but she can’t deny the jolt of arousal that goes through her whenever she thinks about his punishments. I loved the journey of self-discovery both characters go through as they began a D/s romance. Readers who enjoy well-written erotic romance with spanking and D/s themes don’t want to miss this one:)(less)

The heroine, Cassie, is a very likeable character who's trying to make a new start in the small town of Plenty, Florida with her best friend, Jillian. Not long after moving to Plenty, Cassie meets brothers Zach and Chase Harper, who like to share their women - just as many men in Plenty seem to. I loved the tension between Cassie and the Harper brothers as they all got to know one another. Chase and Zach are attentive to Cassie's needs and are very protective of her when they learn about the horrors she left behind in Chicago. The relationship that develops between Cassie and the Harper brothers is sweet and the sex is smoking hot. I also loved the contracting characteristics between Zach and Chase - one is more laid back and gentle, and the other is more dominant and rough in bed. This book has a lot of emotion packed into it, held my attention the whole way through, and sets the stage perfectly for a sequel with the best friend, Jillian, and the pair of brothers who begin a relationship with her towards the end. If you like a good ménage romance novel, you don't want to miss this one!(less)

I really connected with the heroine and liked her a lot. The "hero"? Not so much...but that's okay because I liked the mystery that surrounds him. He scares me in a good way! I want to know more about his past and his motives, and I'm looking forward to the second book in this series. 5 stars!(less)

It's been a year since Jilly met Mark at a bdsm club and the two have formed a weekend only D/s relationship. Jilly enjoys her hot weekends with Mark but can't shake the feeling that their relationship is at a standstill and decides it might be time to break it off. As much as she enjoys the bdsm elements of their pairing, she's just not sure what she means to him and hates the uncertainty it brings. She shows up at his house on their one year anniversary with thoughts of leaving on the forefront of her mind, only to discover Mark has a few tricks up his sleeve...some very delicious kinky tricks that involve one of his hot friends!
I really enjoyed this one and recommend it to anyone looking for quality bdsm erotica with menage and a touching happy-for-now ending(less)

I almost didn't buy this book because the description led me to believe that Raleigh is raped by all three men and then becomes attached to one of them. That's not what happens at all. She's kidnapped by them because they don't want to get in trouble for accidently hitting her and her friend with their car. The man she becomes attached to, Kaden, protects her from the beginning from the most violent of the three men, although this doesn't mean he always treats her kindly. He wants to hate her, but in the end he can't. He saves her from being raped by one of the other men, but rapes her himself a few days later when he becomes angry at her. It took me a while to even vaguely like Kaden, not just because of the rape, but because he practically starved Raleigh in the basement in the beginning. Eventually, Kaden becomes remorseful and tries to gain Raleigh's trust. And that's all I can say about the first half of the book without giving away the big surprise. I will say that I wasn't satisfied with the ending. An epilogue would've been nice - I needed more closure! Overall though, this was a good read and I couldn't put it down. (less)

It’s a heart wrenching story about two people who spend years pining for each other, but the demands of life and their own stubbornness interfere each time they almost get together. Carrie and Bryan began an internet relationship of sorts that grows until she decides to fly from her home in California to surprise him in Australia. Their first meeting doesn’t go as planned, especially after Bryan learns she has a son she never told him about. It takes an accident to draw Bryan to California and they spend a few wonderful weeks together, but their time together is cut short when a family emergency pulls Bryan away. This story has a lot of twists and turns like this, and there was never a dull moment. I loved the hero and heroine (even though I wanted to wring their necks a few times), and I especially loved watching Bryan become a man. I was a little worried at the beginning of this story because he seemed indecisive and definitely not the type of hero I usually root for. But my opinion of him changed drastically as he met the challenges he was faced with head-on, overcoming huge obstacles and making sacrifices for his family along the way. Cassie, who is significantly older than Bryan, also had a lot of pain in her life and having Bryan just to lose him again only added to her troubles. It takes years, a chance meeting, and the interference of Cassie’s son to get these two soul mates together for good. I loved this contemporary romance novel and couldn’t put it down! Easily 5 stars!

He pretty much raises her after her father dies, but even though he has obviously loved her for a long time he keeps his hands to himself (well, except for when he spanks her) until she's twenty-one. Cash takes her into his bed and they dive into a smoking hot D/s relationship. But Sugar wants to find her own way in the world and is afraid of the intensity of this relationship, so she runs away for a few years. When she returns home because of a family emergency, Cash tries to pick up where they left off, but Sugar resists - earning a few spankings along the way. The Unrequited Dom just might be my favorite book by Carolyn Faulkner. I've loved it enough to read it twice within the same month - and that usually never happens for me. (less)
