I think that the main character Claudia is very helpful and very determined. One reason she is so helpful is that when she was with her friends hanging out she still took her neighbor's little son. She is also determined because she was determined to let her friend Adam join the club so she had to change their minds. I think that the antagonist of the story are the mother and father of Claudia. I think that they are the protagonists because every time she goes and tries to hangout with her friends they make her babysit her neighbor even when she doesn’t want to.Also they make her stay there at home doing chores. I think that the main conflict of the story is that at first Claudia wanted her friend Adam to join her all girl club with her two female friends. Then later she wishes she had not let him in. So her and her friends had to get him out. They were so unhappy.
I think that the lesson of this book is that think about your decisions before coming out and telling them to people and not to do it before being sure.I think that that is the lesson because Claudia had regretted letting Adam into the club.
I think that the setting of this story takes place in the Whatever Club tree house and at Claudia’s school. I think that it mostly takes place in the tree house though because that is where they mostly go. They hang out there and they talk they go right after school and stay for a couple of hours. It would have been school but sometimes they don’t talk about school they just say after school they went to the tree house.
I think that in the beginning of the book Claudia was with her two friends all of the time. Their names were Becca and Monica. They were always going to the tree house after school. They were all three excited and planning for their next meeting for the Whatever club. They were talking about how they were collecting beads and other jewelry for the meeting because they were going to be making their own cool jewelry and stuff.
In the middle of the book Claudia was in school with her friends at lunch talking to them all. During lunch Claudia’s male friend Adam asked her if after school she wanted to meet up with him so that they can go to the park. He wanted her to help him practice playing baseball so that he can get better. He asked her because them two have always been into baseball. Even when they were younger they used to play they even traded baseball cards. He thought that she would enjoy it. She wanted to go but she had to turn down his offer since her and her two female friends have to go to their club meeting. They both felt like they stopped spending enough time together since middle school started and it was true. So Claudia had to come up with idea that would make it so that they can both spend more time together. So she decided to let Adam join the club when he he got there he wanted to do what he wanted to do.So they all gave in and played baseball. Then the next day watch a dinosaur movie and all the girls became unhappy. He never voted for what they wanted to do. So Monica and Becca left Claudia’s house and they went to Becca’s house.
So in the end of the book the girls had to vote him out and they didn’t tell him. They just had a meeting without him and agreed that it was time to stand up to him and tell him the truth about how he was taking advantage of them by never voting for things they want but if they don’t vote for what he wants he gets mad. So they all decided that he will only come on days that he will only come on days that he likes what they are doing he liked that idea very much and they tell him what they are doing very much.
I think that a major turning point in this book is when Claudia was all with the idea of Adam joining the Whatever club and thought it was gonna be fun until he really joined for a while. Then Claudia wanted him out. I thought that was the turning point because I expected her to like having her boy best friend around like old times.
The major conflict was solved because they worked something out and they decided that they were gonna let him come only when they know that he is gonna enjoy what they are doing such as watching tv or talking about sports. (less)

The protagonist in this story is Tyrrell. I think that because he is the main character in the book. The whole book is about him. It tells him thoughts . He is telling his whole life story a from part. It is like he is saying his thoughts out loud to the reader.
I think that the antagonist is Tyrell’s moher. I think that because every time he go’s to do something that will most likely be good for him she messes things up.She always has to make him babysit Troy which is Tyrell’s little brother. It’s that or she gets mad at him and does not like his plans.
I think that the main conflict of the story is that Tyrell, Troy, and their mother are poor and they can’t afford an apartment. So they had to stay stuck in a very crummy motel for weeks and weeks. They could not go anywhere else. Also the system they were in that was supposed to find apartments for poor people did not want to help them so they left them in the motel. The reason they did not want to help Tyrell and his family was because the mother kept trying to scam the system and government several times for money. They did not trust her.
I think that the universal lesson of the story was if times are hard not to give up.I think that that is the lesson because every time things got hard the mother gave up and tried to make Tyrell go out d work and he is only 15 he can’t support a whole family.
I think that the main setting of the story is the motel they had to stay at. I think that that is the setting because that is where most things happen in the story Tyrell and his family are in there most of the time. That is where Tyrell was always with Jasmine and arguing with his mother.
In the beginning of the book was where Jasmine and Tyrell first met. They were both waiting out side of the place that helped poor people. He was going to the store and saw her crying the taled and got to know each other. Then they both went on the bus to the motel they had to stay at.She fell asleep on Tyrell’s shoulder for the rest of the way.
In the middle of the book Tyrell and his family were there for at least two-three weeks and Tyrell started to sleep in Jasmine’s room because she was scared of being alone.Tyrell tried everyday not cheat on his girlfriend that he already had. Also he was planning a big party so that he could make money. The way he made money was that he charged all of the men who came and let women get in for free.
In the end of the book Tyrell ended up having his party. He paid everyone that worked for him at night and still ended up with thousands of money. There was a lot of drama. His friend had to leave early because his girlfriend went into labor. His other friend left early and two guys came for him and wanted to hurt the friend. Also he found out that his girlfriend had lied to him for a very long time. She was saying that she was a virgin when she really wasn’t. So Tyrell broke up with her and ended up with Jasmine and is going to buy an apartment for both of them.
I think that the major turning point in this book for me was in the end at the party. Specifically when Tyrell found out that his girlfriend was not a virgin and that she was lying when she said that he would be her first.
The solution of this book is Tyrell dating Jasmine. He was sad about his other girlfriend but Jasmine cheered him up and made him forget her. Also they had real connection and he could trust her. (less)

The Secret Admirer by R.L. Stine
The main character in this book is Selena. She was popular and a lot of boys liked her. She was in a lot of her school plays. When she grew up she wanted to be an actress. She was going to graduate high school soon so she was applying for colleges already she applied to the schools that teach acting since it was here dream.
I think that the one holding her back and getting in her way was The Sun. The Sun was an anonymous character in the book. I feel that The Sun was holding her back because he/she was writing her notes ans sending her dead flowers. Some of the notes that were holding her back said things like: if you do this spring play it will be your last play. Not all of the notes stopped her from doing things she wanted to but certain ones like that sure did.
I feel that the main conflict in the story is that Selena was being black mailed. She was being black mailed and threatened by The Sun. The Sun was saying that he would kill her if she went through with the play.I think that another problem is that she could not find out who The Sun and everyday her life got weirder and more dangerous.
I think that the lesson of this book was that if you start to receive threatening anonymous notes you should tell your parents or any other adults in your life that are close to you. If you don’t tell an adult or tell them too late then that’s like asking for trouble. You will put yourself into danger by not having any back up. Selena only told her best friends and they are all the same age so none of them could help her. She was scared to tell her acting teacher and her mother. Her best friend convinced her to tell the acting teacher so she did. The teacher said that it was probably just a dumb joke plated by a teen in the school.
I think that the setting in the story mostly takes place in the night because that’s when Selena gets the notes a lot of the time when she is at home after school. Also because when she goes to the school to rehearse her lines for the play it is dark out. All of the teachers are gone when she go’s to school only the school janitor is always there. The setting also takes place in the afternoon because the book talks about how when class is dismissed she does graduation rehearsals with the graduates.
In the beginning of the book Selena and her best friend are always hanging out with their friends and everything was okay. Selena was practicing a play. When the play rehearsal was over she went to her locker room. When she went into her locker she found something scary. She found a note from The Sun and some dead black roses in the locker. At first she was scared but her friend convinced her it was probably just a sick joke.
In the middle of the book Selena and a group of her friends all kept searching trying to find clues and hinds to who The Sun is. Selena is now a big target for The Sun.The Sun knew where she sat everyday while reading her lines in her script. So one day he/she pushed the wardrobe behind the bench onto the seat thinking she was siting there and ended up pushing it onto one of Selena’s other friends Alison. Alison broke a bone and had to go to the hospital. The ambulance had to pick her up on a stretcher. Then about a week later she was in the auditorium again and The Sun came after her again and loosened the spotlight above the stage. Selena almost got crushed but one of her friends saved her. it fell on her friends arm and crushed it her friend also had to go to the hospital along with Alison
In the end of the book Selena got a call from her friend Derek and he told her to meet him at the school auditorium so they can rehearse their lines for the spring play Romeo and Juliet. Derek was Romeo and wanted to get more practice. When she showed up at the back door to the school the auditorium was open still. She walked in it was dark and silent. She kept calling his name and there was never an answer until she started to here a mumbling sound. Then the sound became louder and strenuous. She searched for the sound and found it up stairs. She found her friend Derek up stairs tied up in duct tape and rope. She heard foot steps upstairs it was her best friend. Selena was happy to see her and her friend played friendly for a second and then showed her true self she was The Sun the one who sent the notes and gifts.
I think a major turning point was at the end after Derek and Selena found out The Sun was the friend and they had to battle her. Selena’s friend was saying that she killed all of them because she wanted it to be like the old days when it was just them. They had to fight and Derek and Selena had to let her fall off the ladder. She could not make it back up.
They had to let her fall so that their problems can be gone. She fell and Selena and Derek ended up dating. They left and the friend just stood there on the floor. All of the problems were gone. The Sun was all taken care of everyone was happy again. (less)

The main character of the story is Greg Heffley. He is skinny, weak, and of course wimpy. He is selfish and spoiled he is willing to do anything just to get what he wants. He takes advantage of strangers, cops, neighbors, family members, and even his very own best friend Rowley Jefferson. He does not care about the possibilities of losing his only true friend
I think that Rodrick is the opposing because he is always getting in the way of Greg's plans that will benefit to only him. Also because he starts fights with Greg that are uncalled for and then it let's off the thought that Rodrick doesn't like Greg.He is always pranking Greg for like the time he read his diary. He does a lot to Greg.
In this book I think that the main conflict is that Greg is lazy and does not want to do anything over the summer. That’s why he keeps getting everything wrong and messing up, he is not trying hard enough. He is also taking advantage of Rowley and then taking the credit. He did not want to even leave his house at the beginning of the book. He just wanted to stay there playing video games.
In my opinion the lesson is not to pic random fights or one day when it really isn't your fault you'll still get in trouble for it. I think that because Rodrick always gets into some sort of trouble even when Greg starts it. Also because they will believe Greg more since he is the youngest.
I think that the story takes place in the day time because in this story they go to the pool a lot and the sun is shining bright.I also know that it's summer.I think that it also takes place at the town pool and the house. Mostly the pool though because they are always there almost everyday.
In the beginning of the book Greg was at home wrapped up in his blanket and the shades closed. He was playing his video game until his mother came into the room and opened the curtains. He flipped out and started to say he was burning so she said he had to get out into the sun. She said that she was going to take everyone to the town pool together as a family. She kept her promise they all went.
In the middle of the book Greg was happy he did end up going to the pool because had seen a girl from his class’s sister. He likes her but she is older then him. She was the lifeguard for the town pool all summer. He did everything he could to try to impress her but something always ended up getting in his way. He tried to look strong, like a hero, and look cool but something stopped him every time.
In the end of the book Greg went right back to playing his video games. Except this time he went to a game store and versed Rowley in one of their favorite. They had a competition and Rowley won. Then Greg went back home and started to read the comic section of the newspaper. While he was reading it he saw that one of the worst comics in the newspaper that had been canceled had got put back on. It was one of the comics that Greg and his dad had hated so they conversed about how much they did like the comic.
I think that the climax of this story is when Greg and Rowley tried to earn money. They went out and got jobs. They tried to make as much money as they could but every time they got hired by someone they end up doing something wrong or just the whole thing was one disaster. They ended up making little to no money by the end of the jobs. The major conflicts are solved because Greg sees that it is hard to work for his money and that he needs to learn right from wrong. Also him and Rodrick stay separated so that they won’t fight any more. The parents also ground him so that he learns his lesson the next time he even thinks about doing it again.(less)

In this book the main character is Darrell Mercer. He is skinny and shy. He is very self conscience. He always cares what people think about him. He will try to fix anything someone makes front of. He is also one who will try to stand up for himself only if it seems like he has a chance to win.He will also try to protect others from embarrassment.
The opposing character is Tyray. He always is picking on Darrell. Tyray is big and tall. He is tough and very mean. He does not care what people think about him. If someone talks about him he will just want to fight he does not let it get to him. Tyray is he type of person that even if you just look at him funny he will stop you and start something up even if you were trying to be friendly not mean.
The main conflict in the story is that Darrell moved to a place he did not want to go to and them he was being bullied at his new school by Tyray. He was smaller than everyone else which came with ups and downs. He was getting hit, laughed at, and embarrassed. Everyday he would feel humiliated just thinking about his day. Also he wanted to be stronger because of his problem with Tyray he would always work out. Even on the way to growing he was pushed around and beat up.
I think that the universal lesson of this book is that before the bullying gets out of control you should and do something about it. You could toughen up and defend yourself, or you can try to tell an adult that you know will definitely help you and will stop the situation. He let it get way out of control and them he had to deal with it alone because he felt ashamed to tell anyone. So I think that the lesson is also if you have a problem you have to just address the problem to get rid of it.
I think that everything mostly happened at school and in front of the supermarket on the way to school. The time was in the morning and in the afternoon after school. In front of the supermarket in the morning was when Tyray collected Darrell’s lunch money for the week. At school was where Tyray was bullying Darrell with his friend Rodney they were mostly outside was were it mostly happened because he was seeing after school and would stop him for nothing.
In the beginning of the book Darrell was at home in his old state talking to his friends he was telling them about how he does not want to leave and they were complaining that they did not want him to go.They were all talking about their memories and their thoughts on the subject. They spent their last day together doing everything they normally do. They went to their favorite restaurant and got cheese steaks which is something that they always eat with each other.
In the middle of the book was when Darrell had moved with his mom. The reason they had moved was because the mother’s brother had offered her a job and she took it. So she moved so that things would be better for them. When they got there Darrell wanted to view the place he found a supermarket and tried to pass by it. When he was walking he took his mother’s advise and gave a friendly smile to a boy named Tyray. He did not know that Tyray was mean or even such a bully. His mother had said that when you see someone around your age just to give a friendly smile. When he did that Tyray though that Darrell was laughing at him and his friends so that was the beginning of Tyray bullying Darrell.
In the end of the book Darrell decided it was time to toughen up. He started eating a lot more he also started working out more. He did push up everyday. He even joined the school wrestling team. He did everything he could possibly think of to get stronger. When he finally go stronger he stood up for himself. Most importantly he stood up to Tyray. He was brave and let nothing stand in his way. When they fought then Darrell won not only the fight, but he also won self confidence. He was definitely a winner that day.
The major turning point in this book to me was when Tyray had pulled out a knife and held it to Darrell’s neck. I thought that he was gonna slice his neck a little bit for sure. I didn’t think he was gonna kill him just give him a little slice. He did not thought. I think that if the characters were real this would have been one of the scariest moments of Darrell’s life.
The major problem in the book was resolved by Darrell toughening up. He exercised and ate lots of food so that he could balk up. When he finally did he toughened up on the inside also. He fought the bully and he won. It caused the bully to stop bullying him and all others. That his how he solved his bullying problem.

Sloane Sisters by Anne Carey
The main characters in my book are the four girls, Cate, Andie, Stella, and Lola Sloane are the main characters. Cate and Stella are the two older ones. They are the same age and are both stuck up They are mean, they feel like they are the best they both have lots in common that’s why they are always together. Andie and Lola are the two younger ones they are also the same age. They are both sweet and quiet.
The protagonists in the story in my opinion are Cate and Stella. They are always putting Andie and Lola down they are always ignoring them. When they want to hang out with them or just walk with them Stella and Cate walk away from them. They laugh and joke around with each other and exclude the younger girls. So when that happens Andie and Lola try to stick together so they won’t be alone.
I think that the main conflict in the story is that Cate and Andie’s father met Stella and Lola’s supermodel mother and they started going out. Then he proposed to her and none of the girls were happy when she said yes. That means all of them would have to get to know each other. When the girls moved to New York with there mother they moved into Andie and Cate’s house. They were not happy and at first none of them got along.
I think the lesson is that if you know you are going to have a new family when you first meet them introduce yourself first so that you won’t feel like you have strangers living in your own home. It would be weird sleeping in the same room with someone who is new and you only know their names. Also ask your parent questions before they come over so you can see what you have in common. It will help you start up conversations.
The setting is in New York City other wise known as the Big Apple. I think it mainly takes place in the afternoon and night time. I think that because it talks a lot about when the girls come home from school and after school programs which is all in the evening. Then in the night because it talks about them eating dinner and the conversations about their days at the family table. In the beginning of the book Stella and Lola’s mother was telling them about how she was dating a man that she really likes and that they were moving to New York. She did not give them too many details, but she did say that they were moving into Winston’s house. They got there and the girls missed home in London. Emma, the mother also wanted to move there because she got an offer to be model for the company Ralph Lauren. She took the job because she was a model back at home. In the middle of the book the girls all met and kept there distance. When they all finally met Cate and Stella hit it off quite nicely. They seen they both found their younger sisters annoying. When Andie got home from sports practice she met Stella and Lola. She did not like either, she thought that Stella was exactly like Cate and that one was enough. She thought that Lola was a geek and was not very cool. When she found out that their mother was Emma Childs the model she was so happy. Andie wants to be a model and she was hoping that Emma put here in a magazine. So she pretended that she likes Lola and Stella. She starts talking to Lola and she shows Lola her room and gave her a tour of the house. In the end of the book the parents are married and they all end up getting used to each other. The girls love each other and they hang out together. The two older ones are nicer to the two twelve year olds. They treat each other like real family and they don’t mind each other. Everyone was so happy at the wedding. Cate was crying and Cate never cried she was moved by the ceremony. Everyone started to cry and congratulate the couple.
I think that the major turning point in this book is how all the girls did not like each other. Then it changed to all of then liking each other. Then everyone loved each other and the parents got married. They accepted the fact that this was their life and there was no going back. Everyone was getting along just fine and learning everyday how to make it so that they don’t fight.
The major conflict in the story was resolved by all of them living in the same house together. They all got used to each other. They also had to try to talk to get to know each other so that things were not so awkward. They also solved the problems by remembering that they have to get along for the parents. They thought that if they don’t get along the parents would get upset and not get married. They found things in common and made it work. (less)
