Recently with the film versions that came out it is interesting to look back at these classic stories. Reading book one was fun because I got to see how it all begins. I think 5th graders would enjoy reading this book now because they too could see how it all started.(less)

My favorite part is the practical explanation of how to help and simple experiments that benefit the earth. This book is part of a series of "how to" science books so these books would be good for upper elementary science programs.(less)

This book would be great for children that love Harry Potter albeit the level is more accessible. This series is a great way to build the concept of allusion for children even if they do not understand that word yet. Hopefully, the books will send students to reread classic fairytales. I think these books are a great way to hook readers.(less)

I could appreciate it at the adult level- the mother is struggle with independence during the 1940s. All the characters are well-developed and endearing. Upper elementary students could connect with the realistic view of family dynamics. Nissa is a great fictional character that students will relate with.(less)
