When Florence arrives she meets her Uncle and Aunt. In the book it said that her Aunt didn't approve of her. I'm pretty sure she didn't approve of Florence because she compared her to her niece Sophia, who died. Later on in the story Florence wondered if she would ever be able to see her cousin James. She ended up asking one of the maids, Nellie, who worked for the Cruthfields. She said that James was sick and no one was alouded to face him. Around the middle of the book, Florence starts to a feel strange, cold pressance. It was the ghost of Sophia, the girl who died at the Manshion the year before. Over the next couple weeks, Sophia starts talking and pressuring Florence, trying to get her to do her favors. As it describes in the book, Sophia had a skeletal face and a bony body and smelled really bad. Lastly you need to read to find out what happens next what happens to Florence or maybe what happens to the person who accusingly killed Sophia.
I thought of the book as really good. I had some moments where I couldn't stop reading and I wanted to find out more. I thought the author Mary Downing Hahn is really good at writing horror and mystery books. There was a lot of times I wanted to jump out bed and there was other times when I wanted to close the book at the scary parts. But there was also some bad things about the story, like how it kinda just carried away or got kind of boring. What I mean by it getting carried away was becuase their was parts when I just didn't want to keep reading it or it just didn't make sense. It was boring because in the beggining while Florence was heading to Crutchfield Manor, it just went on and on about how Florence wanted to do something, or wished to do something. Overall though I thought the book was good. ...more

ThIn the book Ghostopolis which was written and illistrated by Doug TenNapel, it's about a kid named Garth who was sent to a city called Ghostopolis. This ended up happening when a ghost-hunter named agent Gallows, tried to catch a ghost and Garth was trapped inside the ghosts skeleton and transported to Ghostopolis. Toward the beggining of the book Garth suprisingly finds his dead grandpa. His grandpa taught Garth about Ghostopolis. He said that the city was being taken over by a guy Valameier or something like that and ran the city with nasty bugs. Back on Earth Agent Gallows found a girl he knew who had made a machine which could transport the undead to Ghostopolis. During the story Garth finds out he has powers since he isn't dead. He ended up getting it from his imagination. Garth ended up having to fight Valameier with help from Agent Gallows, people from Ghostopolis, and his grandpa.
I thought of the book Ghostopolis as really exciting. I read it really fast because it was so good. One of the things I liked about it was that it was kinda like a comic. But that was a thing I also didn't like about it. It made it hard for me to read it and if it didn't have the pictures I would be truly helpless. So it was a good/bad book. Another thing I liked about it was that it had a good story line. There was no parts I got bored or the book got carried away. It was action filled so I kept reading. Lastly the pictures were really realistic and made the book easier to understand. I really thought this book was one of the best books I've read....more

The main characters in the story is Ian Malcolm and a spoiled paleontologist, Richard Levine. The story is about after 6 years a return to the park. It is kind of like the first book but instead they are trying to pick up research or something like that. In the book Ian Malcolm is close to death several times that made me read on. I thought the beginning was kind of peachy because it really didn't have much of a meaning it really didn't have any action I thought till the end. The research is used to help the failure of ingeen the company who created Jurassic Park, but I didn't really care. Other than that I thought the book was very good and recommend a lot of people to read it....more

He invited along Allen Grant, Allele Slater, Ian Malcolm, and his two grandkids, Tim and Lex. To me, I thought it was one of the best books I've read in a while. I loved the description of the blood and gore. In the middle of the book, when they are at the park I loved when one of the workers at the park shuts down the park and the tourists are left in the jeeps in front of the Tyrannosaur paddock and it breaks loose and I also like the baby t-rex.
The most descriptive part of the story was probably when Allen Grant, Tim, and Lex are stuck in the park and they have to ride down the river while they're getting chased by the t-rex. The only thing I didn't like about the book was the ending. I thought it was too predictable other than that the book couldn't be better so I recommend that you read this book....more
