The one that particularly stuck out to me was when he pretended to be asleep because he didn't know where he was at. I have done that many of times when I was little. This book would be great for my classroom because traveling or even asking questions about where you came from is important for kids to know. I could maybe do a unit on thier family trees or ask them who they live with. It also models a great outcome for a child who lived in a Home or in foster care. They may not feel so embarrassed or ashamed about where they came from, or living now, if they hear a story about a character in the same situation.(less)
