We'd seen him throughout the other books but not too much. And I wasn't sure how I would like Margo either but I am so happy that this book blew my reservations out of the water.
Let's start with the characters. Margo is a badass lieutenant-Logan and Reese's boss- who has taken it upon herself to try to take down a the ring of men that are abducting women and filming them in forced sexual situations. Any woman's nightmare right? Well Margo is ruthless and with her ruthlessness, she gains the attention of the bad guys and that's when it starts getting dicey. But Margo is all steel and ice and cool under pressure, even when in sticky situations. But we get to see another side of her with Dash. He brings out her soft, gooey center which made me really like Margo more than I thought I would. And Dash. Dash. Dash. Dash. Ok so I wasn't sure if Dash was going to be man enough for the ball busting Margo but geez was I wrong! I admit while reading I had more than one instance where I my eyes got slightly wide and found myself smirking. That man can melt the panties off any woman. That man gave off waves of confidence and how he was in the bedroom, shoo! Talk about alpha male! And if that wasn't enough, he's one of those men who knows what he wants and goes for it. He knew he wanted Margo and that she was more than worth the work and wait. I just love that. And we can't forget about our boy Cannon. I cannot WAIT for his story. We saw a decent amount of him in Rowdy's book but we definitely see a more in depth look into him and his story. I am definitely anticipating this one. He's one sexay male!!
And the story line, there was never a dull moment that's for sure. There were parts that had me reading as fast as I could to see what was next and others that had me doing the same and sweating bullets over if they were going to make it out of a certain situation. Lori is always able to create a world where I become completely engrossed. I've never read a book of hers I didn't like! ...more

And can I say, I freaI loved Run the Risk and I was definitely a fan of Reese in this book so I was more than anxious to get my hands on Bare It All. And can I say, I freaking LOVE Lori’s covers! I don’t where Harlequin finds these cover models but they are so ruggedly handsome I swoon over each one.
So we got a little preview in the first Love Undercover book of Reese and Alice. Reese is constantly trying to talk to her but is consistently ignored until he brings home a puppy that was left for dead in the middle of the highway. Apparently this was the ice breaker for Alice who immediately took to the dog. Seeing his in, Reese uses the dog to get closer to Alice. He definitely has the opportunity to get closer when the event from the end of Run the Risk has him sleeping on her couch. But neither of them are complaining. Sooner rather than later they start doing the horizontal tango but even though they have shared this intimacy, Alice still has reservations about sharing some of her secrets. One thing leads to another and she decides it’s time to tell Reese what he has been dying to know and in walks in a character from another beloved Foster book. I love that connection! It made me smile.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to like Alice for Reese. As a person, she seems super sweet and a little naïve. But the more I read, the more I really started to like her. I felt like she was a flower that was blossoming in front of my eyes. It cracked me up that she would have no issues openly checking him out. I never would have expected someone like her to do that. I think that was my turning point with Alice. She may be prim and proper but she’s passionate about something, she goes for it. No matter if it puts her life in danger or not.
Reese Bareden. Detective. Check. Tall. Check, check. Alpha male. Check, check, check. Dropping panties now. Check, check, check, check. I am a sucker for a cop but add in the tall and alpha male factors and I am all over that like white on rice. Oh and let’s not forget that he has the body of a god. I don’t blame Alice for her blatantly checking him out. But he is more than just good looks. We see him wanting to protect Alice and see that he wants to be around her and make her smile. He is an all around good guy. A type of guy that any woman would be beyond lucky to have.
Definitely check this series out if you haven’t already. You could read this book without reading the first but you will miss some of the things that went on previously and this book picks up directly after. And don’t worry about if you will like the first in the series. It’s awesome! I can’t wait to read more in this series. I can’t get enough!...more

Jason is a cop in a town where if he comes out as being gay, there could be horrible consequences. When a snowstorm blows into town, Jason offers his partner, David, a man who he is secretly jonesing for in every way, his spare room when he can't get back home. Everything changes from that point. Jason is on the phone cancelling his plans with his on again off again lover, Craig, when David came into his apartment to overhear his conversation. Jason is panicked when he finds out that David knows his secret. He is even more worried that David knows he has a thing for him. He doesn't want to lose his partner and best friend.
David is shocked to find out that Jason is gay. Never once had he mentioned this and he was supposed to be his best friend. After Jason clearly leaves a little panicked, he knows that he is instantly ok with it. He is a little unsure of what to do with the feelings that are pushed to the forefront after he overhears the part of Jason's conversation about him. He knows that he loves his best friend and would do anything for him but could there possibly be more?
Jason and David were such great characters. I liked that David is a divorced parent. It throws a little something extra into the book that shows you how great of a parent David is and how much Jason loves David's kids like his own. I love that it also added the challenge of having to tell the kids about their situation when things progress. It made an all together wonderful, emotional story that much better and well rounded. And I can definitely say that when the next in the series comes out, I will be buying it that day. ...more

Explosions, mystery, suspense, action, romance, steamy encounters, obsticles. Pick any of these and it will describe an aspect of this book. I started this book in the morning and stayed up late that night to finish it it was that engrossing. The storyline was absolutely different than anything else I have read. And the ending had me literally bugging my eyes. I mean, who would of thought to do that????? Does that get your attention now? Good. Go get this book. As always, Norah wrote a wonderful love story that only had me wishing it was longer. Lol. I have a love/hate relationship with novellas. I love them because they are usually great in-betweens for books but at the same time, they always leave me wanting more! Lol. Don't mistake my opinion thinking that I didn't like Needing Nita. I absolutely loved it, I just have this slight obsession with this series and need to feed more of my fix. :) If only there were more hours in the day for Norah so she can write another in this series. I wonder if there is a way to teach someone to write in their sleep? :p...more

At first he finds her a little in your face but then when she leaves, he feels the void she left. He finds himself growing more and more intrigued by her sauciness and respects her relationship and trust in her son. And the more he gets to know her and her son Dillon, the less alone he feels. Growing attached, he can't fight wanting to help Paige out when trouble comes around, even if that means having to contact the friends he has pushed away.
Paige is a single mother with her own successful business and a teenage son about to go to college. After deciding to start over and move, she noticed a change in Dillon. He's been grumpy, has an attitude, and has been hanging with the wrong crowd. Paige knows deep down Dillon's a good kid, but can't help but think he may know why she is being left surprises and having other things happen. Not knowing what else to do, Paige enlists the help of her sexy, younger neighbor, Tommy. She can look past the grumpiness to see that he is a good guy deep down. Now only if she can look past his smoldering look...
What can I say? Norah has done it again. I think this may be my favorite in the Serve and Protect series. I was happy when I found out this book has Tommy in it. We saw a little preview of him in Saving Grace so I was happy he got his own book.
I loved Tommy and Paige together. Tommy was such a pitiful grump at the beginning of the book, you couldn't help but want to jump right in the pages and help him. Paige literally invited herself in and took care of him without even asking him if it was ok. I like that about her. She is a take charge woman that knows what should be done. They balance each other out perfectly. I also really enjoyed that Norah included a couple other first person views of a couple other characters. It made the story that much more interesting. Not to mention the minor little love story thrown in there.
So would I recommend this book you ask? Why hell yes!! I recommend the whole series as a matter of fact. I have read a lot of books and you won't find too many books that are written well but Norah always knocks it out of the park! :)...more

All in all, it was a decent book. The plot was definitely interesting. Lol. (Read it and see because I am soooo not giving it away) It had some scenes that I really thought were played out well for the story. You know what? This review is a little difficult to write because I don't want to give away any of the good parts so I am just going to cut the the best part of the book. Sex. It was smokin! I'm surprised I didn't catch my Kindle on fire some of those scenes got so hot. I loved it! ;)...more

I feel like you get a pretty good description of the book from the blurb but I don't want to spoil any of this book for you. I am extremely open to reading any type of book and I am super glad I did because this was nothing short of amazing. The depth K.C. Burns delves into Kurt's character is so intense there were points in the book were I could feel his pain and confusion. I will even admit that I actually let a few tears fall at one point and I am not an easy crier, that is how emotionally involved you will become.
If you are open minded, you will discover that the book also has great sex scenes that had my heart racing. Aw hell, it was freaking hawt!!! I have only read one other m/m book and that one was a little more in your face but Cop Out had a way of making you want to be sitting right there in the chair watching. I for one, will have found a new author that I will have to stalk follow from now on. ...more

I have come to the conclusion that I shouldn't even start reading a Norah Wilson book without having the time to sit down and read it with no interruptions. My husband found that I can become very snippy if he interrupts my reading of her books. I really enjoy romantic suspense novels and this definitely falls into my top five in that category. It probably has something to do with the fact that the guys are cops and being that my ball in chain is one I tend to love these types of stories. Well enough about how great I find Norah's books, let's get into some reviewing shall we?
We are introduced to Ray and Grace Morgan from Guarding Suzannah. They seem like the perfect couple. At the beginning of this book, we are thrown for a loop when Grace tells Ray that she is leaving him for someone else. So while getting nice and drunk, not thinking it could get any worse, Ray gets a call from his boss, Quigg (who we met in the first book). Grace has been in a car accident and is asking for him. After Quigg convinces him to go see Grace, he realizes quick that she can't remember what has happened the past couple days. Not knowing what else to do, Ray brings Grace home to help her heal in the hopes that she will remember her lost memories. It becomes perfectly clear how important it is that she remembers when bullets start flying and his and Grace's lives are on the line.
Grace has no clue why Ray is being so distant. She can freeze ice cubes on his shoulder with how cold his is being towards her. When she tries to make a pass at him, Ray finally tells her the last thing she would think would come out of his mouth. She had an affair with someone else and was leaving him when she got her accident. Tired of being stepped on and treated with kid gloves, she decides to put her big girl panties on and deal with her situation. The more she finds out, the more their lives are put in danger. What is she not able to remember that is putting their lives in stake and can she protect her and Ray's heart from getting hurt again in the process?
I love when I get to that pivotal point in Norah's books where my heart is racing from the action that is going on. Oh and I'm pretty sure at one point I was talking to myself while reading I was so into the book. At least my husband wasn't around to give me weird looks or point out that I am a weirdo. ;) Thanks Norah for such a great series so far!!!!!...more

Feeling that it would make her lose respect from the officers, she successfully keeps it to herself until John Quigley (Quigg to everyone) somehow figures it out and confronts her. After lots of arguing over her safety, Quigg convinces her to let him watch her back since she isn't too concerned about herself if she wasn't going to the police. So people won't ask a million questions as to why Quigg was constantly around Suzannah, he came up with the idea that he pretend to be her boyfriend. As the stalker starts upping the ante, the lines of their agreement start to cross and morph into real feelings.
From start to finish, I read this book in less than twenty-four hours. I can never find enough romance novels with cops. I find them extremely sexy which is why I am married to a detective. **waggles eyebrows** Something about the way their uniform hugs to the curves of their....oh, right. I'm in the middle of writing a review and shouldn't be fantasizing about my husband. Mind out of the gutter! :)
But seriously, I really loved this book. I was doing some work for my business and had my Kindle reading to me when it came to the climatic ending and then she just couldn't spout the words fast enough for me. I decided that was the end of my work night (it should have been anyway since it was almost midnight) and quickly finished up the book. My heart was beating a little faster and one part made me tear up. It seriously takes a lot to make me tear from a book. I have to be emotionally entrenched in it to produce that outcome. So if that tells you anything, the ending was nothing short of thrilling!...more
