From AnnabelleI enjoyed this paranormal BDSM linked and almost romance! This is my first Kitty Thomas story read but I enjoyed the psychology of it. From Annabelle realising that she is with intelligent creatures alien to her species, bought at auction for sexual purpose and use to her preconceived notions gradually changing; despite a panic bout of rebellion and escape. Then acceptance of her life and sexuality with Master and Sir and that it's okay to just to be, accept her sexuality with them to experience and enjoy. Even accept and help another human girl into the fold and share her with her Master but the security she got when realization hit her that she was Master's was lovely. English standard good. Just 4 stars. Enough enjoyment to buy her other books....more

This story has a Sci fi setting, futuristic and set on the planet Nexus, one of a number of planets where humans migrated and settled in the past. It portrays Earth and Earthers, post moralistic wars, where through controlling organised religion people no longer are allowed to experience sexuality as a pleasurable bonding between two lovers, but as an overly repressed people where sex is for procreation only, touch and contact kept to a minimum and seen as dirty and a sin. Nexans are the opposite they explore and enjoy their sexuality in all it's forms and seeing the need to widen their gene pool they see sex as a sharing gift, again within the religion of being supported by their gods and goddesses. Mella, escaping an assassination attempt by her husband finds herself fending for her survival on which to her is an alien planet and culture. Sentenced to a short term as an unshuline or sex slave for a crime committed, she finds herself in the temporary ownership of Dain. His treatment of her, her experiences of opening up and exploring her sexuality and peace of mind within his clan family home are beautifully thought out and told by Cherise Sinclair with all the detail one has come to expect from her lovely stories. I have become an avid fan of this writers work. Two stories evolve here, one is the underlying crime story that adds conflict, of a husband bent on his wife's death and acquisition of her assets, the other of a young woman who finds despite marriage has no knowledge or understanding of the beauty of a sexuality shared with a dominant but caring and powerful man. For me it was one of these stories that has everything and therefore has to be five star....more

These stories were used by the Greeks to explain the world they lived in based on their polytheistic faith. This one is linked to the Warriors who allowed Pandora to open the box that allowed all the demons and evil to be freed in this world. The punishment for the Warriors was they were condemned to carry a demon within as punishment for all eternity. Based in modern times it brings the story to a medieval castle in Budapest. Basically, it is an unusual romance between damned warrior Maddox, and Ashlyn a young woman with paranormal abilities who is being used unwittingly to find the warriors. I liked the conflict, then the mistrust that alters to lust then love between the main characters, and the inbuilt demon of violence as an internal antagonist within the protagonist is an unusual concept. I found myself becoming accustomed to the names of the first set of warriors introduced at the start of the story and their demon/punishments they are responsible for, as in death, lust etc. However, Gena, introduces a second set of new warriors two thirds of the way through the story and there were suddenly so many it became confusing for a while. I can imagine this being off putting for some readers. Yes, I will read the next and maybe more as this seems to be turning into a quest series where each of the Warriors will have a story to tell, and maybe a romance. The romantic scenes are tastefully erotic. I hope that by the end of the next story I will be accustomed to the many characters. The novel is generally well written, though a few typos, which shouldn't really be found in a book published by such a major company. Overall I give it four stars....more

Bit twee that name, has her virginity taken by her god Derian, then is trained in the art of submission, submissive sex, a little spanking with a paddle, minimal bondage as her Master and a shared session with another god Tavin leads to the change in the expected destruction of Eiry as she becomes the pawn between the gods squabbles. Not bad...just 3 stars, it's let down by errors in spellings, capital inconsistencies, tenses and typos of the same ilk...needs a good edit. Made a change and free can't be bad....more

It is the story of their individual pasts and present, with possibilities for the future, providing the sick Lady Lyssa has one but that will probably be covered in Joey W Hill's next book. The depth of their developing relationship and dare the word reciprocated love be mentioned, as well as intense lust, has begun here. Love and lust that has differences between the species but which are all the more powerful for it. It has a rich, formal dialogue with reminiscences of past long gone era's. It shows passion and some intensely erotic sexual scenes but these also include non consent and dubious consent, which may not suit all readers and who should be over 18 to access this novel.
I like the development, depth and richness of the main characters, it also links well to the associated characters, which I believe will be seen again in this series. There is also an antagonist,Carnal, who makes an appearance who I disliked intensely and expect to see return in the next novel. I hovered between 4 and 5 star...ideally 4.5 but it has that little extra something for me that made me round up to 5 star. One thing I wasn't happy with was the price. This was the most expensive book I've bought on kindle. Normally I would now go and purchase the rest of the series...but not at these prices. Maybe the next one for special occasions. I know writers have to make a living and I'm not denying them that, but sorry to say Ms Hill, at almost £9 /$14, then it precludes many readers on tight budgets from buying and enjoying your work and worse encourages illegal lending. I've heard the arguements of real book versus electronic and know paper books cost more to produce, this e-book is expensive....more

They have an element of witchcraft/paganism but the first two in the series seem to have little or limited effect at helping Anna Ixstassou resist the control of the Master character Ewan Crest and his ways of using Anna's body through a series of pseudo medical erotic dreams to the reality of sharing her with others whom he also controls in order to play her body to it's ultimate capitulation and release. I would put these into dubious consent category. Though Anna can't withstand his control she wouldn't have gone to him voluntarily. I tried the first in the series as a free offer then bought the following two others. Yes I enjoyed them, short, sweet, powerful, intense scenes. A good Three stars....more

I enjoyed the first story which was free and bought the other two of which this is the last. In the first two there were references to witchcraft/paganism but little happened except collection of body hairs by some unseen familiar of Anna's Witch Mother. This short story where the BDSM scene is linked to control and sensory deprivation, multi partners again all controlled by the Master Ewan Crest. Anna Ixstassou is unable to resist his control therefore it is dubious consent...but there's a final twist linked to the power of the witch and justice seen to be done. AiAn interesting title that will attract and repel readers in equal measure I suspect. However, it is paranormal erotica as evidentced by said title. Aimelie Aames has written this as a prequel, setting the story line and introducing characters for her Marechal Chronicles Vol 1, 2 & 3. This short story is an accomplished and descriptive piece of writing with good use of language and well edited. It introduces a main character, Captain No One, whose past is unknown, yet his terrible scarring suggests events of significance. From a bloody battle against paranormal Goblin creatures, so clearly and hideously described at locations within the story, it begins with an erotic even romantic interlude with an older female, General Sandrine Grise. Before further battles commence the Captain is withdrawn and sent on a counter espionage mission to identify Goblins masquerading as humans. By the end of these first encounters with Goblins, which includes one of lust and non consent, but extremely well written to provoke a combination of disgust and arousal in the reader; it becomes obvious that the Captain is being used and manipulated by his Generals to take on a mission to seek out Goblins, within the human community in his new promotion role of Marechal, which I take to be a law and order role as well. So the stage is set for the main Marechal Chronicles. I find it difficult with the limited context of short stories deciding on star ratings. My justification for border 3/4 is it's well written, sets the scene for the main novels clearly, as opposed to plot development which comes in the follow on stories; as it does with the introduction of the Marechal and how he came to the role, whilst still keeping the mystery of his past unclear as intended. Initial graphic details of Goblins characters, physically and their capabilities is also clearly set....therefore I give this prequel 4 stars as it does as intended. Yes I have bought the next instalment of Volume 1 of the Marechal Chronicles and look forward to reading it....more

It has lovely Breanne, awful start in the story and I felt for her. Her nature is a mix of caring, compassionate, loving, fight, bravado and brave as her traits. The initial hell hound scene and subsequent descriptions of them and their behaviour had me glad they aren't real - they equate to the worst psychopaths and sociopaths of the world.
Zeb and Shay, mostly loved them, and they are so naturally Alpha, and so opposite to the packs first alpha and hideous bullying brother and bitchy Alpha bitch and yet despite the reasons given I felt a little let down by how much the story twisted to meet the outcomes and felt some characters weren't quite in character at times. I expected more from them I guess.
That being said, I still liked the story, would recommend it and am hoping we have a were bear story with Ben soon too. I would love there to be shifters like these in the world. How glad am I we have people with such superb imaginations that create stories that feel so real and plausible for us to read. First book I wasn't sure about the sprites and pixie people but now it seemed right and was incidental and not overdone.
The sex scenes were very erotic, and BDSM minimal - domination, submission and spanking.
I considered this for 4 and 5 stars and compared with her other stories plumped for 4 stars overall. ...more

I knew it had a link to Christmas through cover and title, and from a tag that spanking was incorporated so i thought... ideal for the BDSM group's spanking themed challenge.
I didn't know until told by a friend when halfway through that it was not a prequel but sequel to another. I was becoming confused over information dropped in that made it look like I should have prior knowledge but hadn't, so I was floundering a little with the content and context. To fully understand this I now need to read the full length prequel.
This is a pet annoyance of mine and maybe others too. I'm happy and thank writers who make first in a series free. I know if I like or love it then i will happily splash out on all others in a series as I have with many of this genre's series by various writers. This however, does not warn that the prior knowledge from the first would be advisable, and I think it should as I like reading series in order not arse about face. So I became annoyed that here was a fairly interesting story that relies on events from previous book although here and there tries to explain things that would normally have made me go WTF where am I and what are these...people? Creatures? Then twig that they are from the realms of paranormal, succubus and incubus I have heard and read a little of, animalistic creatures like werewolf or werecat, and vampires I have read about, but I had no idea until into the story that it was a paranormal genre book too. Oh, and I never heard of a Cambion before, which could be my ignorance or the Author's creation, so perhaps a glossary or paragraph of explanation would be helpful.
So I give this 3 stars as I made out in the end...not as much as Rosemary with seven lovers, lucky cat...sorry lucky cambion! Who knows if I had read the books in order and known more about what the premise was about in the product description it may have been more stars. I may get round to reading the prequel but as I now know the outcome from the sequel I may not bother...writers do yourselves a favour make the first free and charge for all follow ups even in a series of two...we readers will take the opportunity to read freebies first as deciders to reading more of your work, you lose out on revenue doing it this way IMO....more
