In a book recomended for teens, Cornelious Fleck (kernal) needs to find his brother who was to stolen by a demon!!! Now this took place in the olden times and the present. So this twelve year-old boy was born in the city, but his parents moved to the country because of the "lights" that kernal saw. Later a threatening old women exploded in front of kernal and a big portal opened, seconds later a demon jumped out, rampaged, stole kernals brother, and left. But when the demon left a group of mysterious people followed, and so did kernal. He later joined their group and chased the demon through many worlds. The journey stopped when they ended up at lord losses castle with the demon harborded inside. kernal and his group snuck inside and made a deal with lord loss, if he could find and name the demon theif he could take the demon and they could leave safely with his brother. in the end with two failed attempts he finaly realized that he was the true demon theif. Now i really liked this book because it had an exciting adventure with twisted plots. but the lesson to be learned is "those who steal will loose more than gained". i would recomend this book to those who like demons, super powers, and were wolves. the one great and unique thing i saw about this was it added demons to the great werewolves and vampires fued.(less)

As this epic tale unwinds like a ball of yarn, it's events get more and more scarring and horrifying for young Grubbs, first something happens to his family so terrifying he has been sent to a hospital, his long lost uncle finds him, and then he is given a whole new more dangerous life to live. Now in my point of view this book was my favorite of the year, the author Mr. Darren Shan himself keeps you guessing all the time leading in with sick senses of humor, the ability to make you feel his characters pain, he keeps you questioning and guessing his thoughts all the time, and he always has you answering them on your own. I recomend this book to all living beings from age thirteen to nineteen.(less)

I liked how each book is like the Odyssey, where there always faced by many trials. and the best part was the begging of every chapter was always exciting, usually in the middle of action or the conclusion of an action. making just getting into the book great! I recommend this book to all those who like Greek and roman tales of heroism, because it is truly a great book, and expresses a lot of myth and adventure, just like the Romans! how this book is different than most is how you get a point of view from every character in the book, and how they have a distinct voice for each character(less)

I guess you could say now i know why my science teacher recommended the book (no more asking him for a good book). so you got to know me and my feelings about the book and now it's time for you to decide if you like this book. now it's a regular day for an average boy named sonny living in a town called Coalwood (i know really interested now). so anyways news get's out that Russians are launching a satelite into space, and it's successfull now to beat the Russians (because the u.s. thinks there better than everyone) they start a little thing called the race to space. now sonny and his friends want to get in on the action and start's trying to launch rockets (their first ending up destroying his mom's garden fence) and throughout the story of science the boys learn more and more about rockets and use the correct scientific theory's to improve their rocket's until they reached space. Now it is true this book had more than rockets, it also had the smallest bit of drama when the football team get's into some trouble, something happens to sonny's favorite teacher, and sonny is googly eyed over a girl. the characters were never the same in any way, they all had their individuality. sonny brought everybody together (the leader) and the other characters i don't think i should spoil it for you. So now your thinking i'm hooked, i want to go out and read this book. well good for you, all i can say now is "go find them rocket boy's" (actually from the book would you believe it). Now i leave you in awe and wonder as you figure out if the book is right for you.(less)
