I honestly don't think I've ever read a book like this before. It was completely crazy. I can't say I even liked the experience because it felt like I was really there. I don't think I could ever reread it again because of the intensity of emotions it gives me, but I think I will always remember it to be one of the best books I've ever read.
These were the most interesting characters I've ever come across. Everyone just need to stop what they're doing and read this. Honestly, when you read the synopsis of this story it will give you no clue to how messed up it is.
It has a few spelling errors, but nothing that really takes away from the book. Also, it has quite a bit of British slang so make sure you can handle that.
I especially recommend this to anyone who enjoyed My Sweet Audrina. Like My Sweet Audrina this book has a massive twist at the end, but it's even better because this one has multiple massive twists!
Just read it. It will kill you, but you won't regret it. ...more

Wow! This book was surprisingly dark! With a title like The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl you'd expect it to be a comedy filled romantic comedy filled with comic book references and fluffy little make out scenes, but really the only thing accurate about that assumption is the bit about the comic book references.
This book is so full of heart it had me bursting into tears at SSR at school. So, the book was in no way what I was expecting, but it was fantastic!
The protagonist of the story was Ben (fanboy), honestly I never really liked his character very much, but that was probably just because of how much I related to him. The other main character Kyra (goth girl) was also difficult to get along with, but that was just because of how strong her personalty was.She was like a very exaggerated version of that annoying, emo girl we all know in real life. That's right, she's an Eeyore.
The two main characters are obviously flawed, but they have their good sides as well. Kyra is witty, clever, and not superficial in anyway. Ben was smart, talented, and well-meaning. So, I liked the characters even if they did drive me up the wall sometimes. I don't know what I have to say about the plot. I don't even know if there really was a plot It was more just a look into the lives of Ben and Kyra for a few weeks.
So, basically even though this book annoyed me sometimes I loved it! ...more
**spoiler alert** This is the best book I have read this year so far. It was intense, but it was still humourous. The dialogue was so well written. So**spoiler alert** This is the best book I have read this year so far. It was intense, but it was still humourous. The dialogue was so well written. Some of my favorite bits in the book are just of the characters talking to each other. Suicide isn't all they talk about, they talk about other stuff as well. This made me really happy because it seems that in most books like this all the characters talk about is sucide or whatever it is thats troubling them. Don't get me wrong I do think it is good that they talk about this stuff, but it is impossible to be thinking about one thing 24/7. I also quite liked the weird little romance thing going on between Owen and Audrey. Owen was cute. He was so innocent! In fact I think Audrey said something about him being innocent somewhere in the book. Jin-ae was defineitly my favorite though. All the stuff with her family, and her not wanting to tell them that she was gay were so well done and just her as a charactter was intriguing. She was so strange; you never really knew what she was going to do next, but tou knew what ever it was it was going to make you laugh your ass off. This was a very heavy book, but whenever you needed comic relief it was there because of Jin-ae. This was great book. I highly recomend it. So go read it. ...more
