Well-paced and well-plotted with rising complications, a good read. I liked it better than I did the first book, perhaps because although Angel still...moreWell-paced and well-plotted with rising complications, a good read. I liked it better than I did the first book, perhaps because although Angel still continued to grow during the novel, she didn't start at the terrible low point that she did in book one.
Quibbles: I'm lukewarm toward the love interst Marcus. I find this disappointing since I love Ryan and Rhyzkahl from Rowland's urban fantasy series.
My four-year-old was FASCINATED by the cover.(less)
