But once I was past the beginning with the gym talk, the action and interaction became interesting. I only gave it a 3 for the slow start. (less)

Her mysteries of no better, no worse than the other cozy mystery writers. Its just that her vampire book was so good.(less)

Set out west. Tied together by the protagonist and a yarn store. I get the feeling a number of authors similar to this one (i.e. Earlene Fowler, Diane Mott Davidson, Laura Childs, et al) got together in a writing club. One chose catering. One chose quilting. One chose a bed and breakfast. A group got together to write books set in Tyler. This author got the yarn store. That is not to say the books aren't good. For a cozy mystery, I quite enjoy this group. I bought 6 at the library book sale. This is the second I've read, and I plan on reading the rest. (less)

This series is entertaining, but there is too much yarn shop and not enough sleuthing. When mystery solving is going on, I find I enjoy the book. As a fellow accountant, I think it is a little creepy how much time she spends fondling yarn. (less)

I purchased 6 from the library book sale. I've enjoyed it enough to start reading book 2 - Needled to Death - immediately. With interruptions now and then, I will probably read all of this series. That means I will need to buy 1 or 2 that I'm missing. Paper or plastic? Since I don't feel the need to hold onto books as much as I use to, I may see if this can be bought for my Slick (Borders reader). If not, paperback. (less)

This is not a bad book, but not my favorite cozy mystery. She does vampire books much better. I may try another before I pass judgement on her mysteries.(less)

Another of those authors who seem to have come out of the Rocky Mountain school of writers. Pick a theme (B&B, caterer, or chili peppers), pick a heroine or hero (ususally heroine), have them solve mysteries in and around their community. Makes me think I could actually write one of these. Hum. Who of my friends can I kill off?(less)

I rather like the Richard Castle character on the TV show. The book stands alone very well. Easy to read which, for a slow reader like myself, is a plus. You only get 14 days to read one as opposed to the 21 days for the paper books. I will probably try another Castle book as a future ebook.(less)
