I am kinda leaning towards wanting him and Kitty to become a coupling but I guess they both have some issues to work thru before they realize they would be so right for each other. (view spoiler)[I hated how Kitty was treated towards the end and being kidnapped and forced to turn on live television. I really hope her attorney throws the book at those guys! It was just non-stop action thru and thru and I hated to even take a bathroom break for fear of missing anything! (lol)
There were quite a few parts that made my jaw drop and exclaim No Way! especially when I discovered that (ha did ya really think I was gonna spill the beans?) Seriously though just know that your in for a few surprises for sure and I usually can spot them a mile off and even I was stupefied in this book until they were revealed!
I adored the characters even the deranged lunatic Monica who tortured Claire. Rachel really fleshed her out as one of those characters you LOVE to HATE. I am still undecided on which of the leading males (Michael or Shane) I like best but maybe by end of the next book I can share my preference as well as my thoughts on Amelie. I'm just not completely disliking her even though I know she is a vampire and probably can't really be trusted. Claire is just a regular girl next door type that happens to be a brain except when it comes to common sense sometimes and as much as I loved her innocence..I wanted to smack her a few times or at the very least shake her and ask her if she was pure nuts! I mean sheesh if I knew there were vampires I be dogged if you'd see me bouncing around after dark! No way no sir!...more

It started out great because it was like it was a new spin on how to become a vampire by getting a mark by tracker instead of the cliche'd bite but then it's like that's all it talks about is Zoey's mark and how it is so far advanced from that of a regular fledgling.
So once you get Marked you must go off to this special school to go thru "the change" and Zoey is actually kinda glad to be leaving home to get away from her overly religious parents and selfish friends but still she is anxious and a bit afraid as I would have been.
And basically that's it. That's Marked in a nutshell in my opinion. I just really didn't get much out of the story beyond maybe the first coupla chapters then I quickly lost interest. Maybe I will give the second book a try but I am not in a hurry. :(...more

Rachel Morgan is a witch and also a bounty hunter with "IRS" until she decides to strike out on her own leaving the IRS with a death contract on her head because they are not keen on folks leaving the system!
I loved it when her and Ivy (a vampire) team up together in their business because Rachel does not even like vamps and is scared to death of her own partner. And they also have a so called 3rd partner whom I adored, Jenks, a pixie with a zillion kids and an overprotective wifey with medical expertise.
It was just a really fast paced story, full of action, that centered around Rachel, Jenks, and Ivy starting their business, moving in together, and working feverishly to get the contract off Rachels head. ...more

I cant quite put my finger on what I didn't like about it. I feel like it could be that Eleisha is such a weakling that the other characters had to kind of tug her along to make the storyline work at all. About the only thing that I liked about her was her care giving for William. She was just "to" soft was my problem I guess because I am so used to kick ass no foul heriones that Eleisha really never stood a chance with me.

Barrons didn't appeal to me at all for the biggest part of the book. I actually fingered him to be an ass and full of himself but towards the end I began to realize this was just what Mac needed him to be because she was so soft and feminine and surely going to get herself killed before she ever realized what was going on. In short she was naive and child-like. He had to harden her up.
Still bit confused on the bookstore clerk, Fiona. Is she one of Barrons lovers or just a dear friend? At some points she acted sort of jealous towards Mac and then in the next instance she was worried over her safety?...more
I cant tell you how much I enjoyed this book! I gobbled it up in one sitting and was hoping for more! A totally cute romantic story for any young readI cant tell you how much I enjoyed this book! I gobbled it up in one sitting and was hoping for more! A totally cute romantic story for any young reader and I recommend it even if your not a young adult! It was just so upbeat and fun but there were times that I really wanted to smack Megan just because I felt she was a little tooooo goody goody if you know what I mean? She would kind of prejudge folks like for example before she ever met her roomate she already had decided she was a slob and maybe a party gal with several boyfriends just because she had not put her things away all neatly and boys were phoning left n right. I'm like Helllooo so what if she didnt immediately put her things away the time she got there that doesnt make her a slob and then when Parker kept trying to get to know her she just kept being so rude in my opinion just because she had a boyfriend and she assumed he was one of her roomates boyfriends doesnt mean they couldnt be friends!
Even though I loved ranting about Megan like I said the book was awesome. Megan just rubbed me the wrong way....guess ya could tell? :)...more

Winnie's family has been going thruThis was a total change in pace for me and I really must say I enjoyed it being the breath of fresh air I needed!
Winnie's family has been going thru a tough time losing their mom/wife but Winnie who used to spend time gentling horses with her mom has began trying her hand at it and found the horse of her dreams. Now we go on a journey with her as she not only goes thru the process of trying to gentle this wild horse but many other obstacles she must go thru on her own including learning to trust in God again after losing her mother.
The only thing I found that was kind of weird to me was it seemed Winnie's 11 year old sister was the cook of the family and held down a baby-sitting job. I mean some of the dishes Lizzy was whipping up had my mouth watering and I just couldn't believe somebody so young with no supervision was making them.

My awe continues into book two of this series again with not a moment of dullness and with just as much action, if not more! We are sitting on our seats as the book opens in fear and pain because Shane's dad has come to town with revenge on his mind for what happened to his family when they lived in Morganville. He and his possee has taken over Michael's house and "killed" him thinking he was a vampire. I really wanted to scratch that mans eyes out!!! How can Shane have the same blood running thru his veins as Frank Collins?
Frank causes all kinds of nasty messes all about town and gets Shane into some very hot water and we're left worried and upset if The Glass House gang will be able to come to the rescue before it's too late.
I'm still not 100% sure which of the guys I lust for more..it's still a tight race there nor have I drawn any new conclusions on Amelie but I do respect her which is a helluva lot more than I can say for the other vamp leader Oliver whom I despise with a passion. Sam, a new vamp we're introduced to has a history with Amelie that I am anxious to explore more. I just know there is more there than what has been revealed thus far and it has totally peaked my curiosity wondering if they were lovers or what?
Oh and just a little side note on our girl Claire...well it seems she has started growing a nice pair of balls and is quickly losing the 16 year old sweetness and I think things is about to get all kinds of nasty up in here so stay tuned and don't come out after dark!...more
