The book starts out as an interesting book, but as it progresses, it keeps getting more and more boring, and the way the author represents those who agree with her mentality and those who don't is just simplistic and wrong.
I don't have any opinions either way, and if I think about it, I may agree with many aspects of what the author is trying to sell already, but the book has not helped convince me of these ideas, or solidify them.
It's ok to have an agenda to your book, and so many books do that so well, but at least respect the minds of the readers by showing them that you've TRIED to represent the other side; let us understand their motives more clearly. I don't think even she understands that enough.
If you're thinking of reading this book, I really do not recommend it; unless you have too much time in your hands (I didn't, but I listened to it as an audio book, that helped). You may like it at first like I did, but I doubt you'll be done with it happy.(less)

It discusses change, at a behavioral level, and uses a simple model (of a rider representing the mind, an elephant representing emotions, and a path representing the environment) to give different tips regarding how a change can be achieved, especially when change is difficult to achieve in that situation.
I do strongly recommend everyone read this book. It will help you make desirable changes at both your personal and professional lives.(less)

I started reading it years back, when it was a very new book, but I got tired of the author's style in the middle of the book, and stopped reading it. More recently, I decided to give it another try, this time as an audio book, and I actually managed to finish it that way.
The book starts really slow; it's basically a tale of survival; a curious one, but still can get boring. But as the story proceeds, towards the two thirds of the book, it actually starts getting interesting.
The best part of the story is the conclusion in my opinion, but I will not spoil that, and I will leave it to you if you wish to read it.(less)

It gets confusing at some point, and then it gets even more confusing. It's entertaining, and you'll want to read some parts after you start with it, even when they're really difficult to read. It does talk thoroughly about the forms of lying we're usually accustomed to referring to as lying, but it also addresses other interesting forms of lying which may not be as harmful (Some are even necessary).
It's a very interesting book discussing an interesting topic. However, I do find it to be rather dry at times; the author has the opportunity to make the book more interesting, and even though he is trying, I feel it can be done better.

This novel catches your attention as you see the events unfold, marvel at the ingenuity of some of the characters, and wonder how everything is going to be resolved in the end. It’s an enjoyable read, and Reggie and mark’s characters are just simply amazing. If you enjoy law thrillers, I urge you to read this one.(less)

This is a story of a man with career problems, psychological problems, and social problems, who – to top it all of – was convicted of a crime he did not commit. The book goes on to describe how every step of this and some related cases go, and how the obvious is frustratingly missed so unfairly and so often. It actually shows how law can sometimes be so unlawful, and how a little corruption in law enforcement can actually destroy someone’s life. It’s a sad painful story, but it’s worth reading. (less)

A young lawyer joins an apparently amazing law firm, which seems to be an ideal place for him to peruse his career as a lawyer. Soon after wards, this lawyer discovers that things aren't always what they seem, and that this firm is trouble.
The story grabs your attention all the way from the beginning till the end, and the style of the author shows all through.
One thing I would have changed about the story is the ending. I don't want to spoil it for those who didn't read the book, but I would have liked to see it end differently.(less)

I'm usually not into stories with vampires and such "dark" creatures, but this book actually does it very well.
What Twilight comes down to is a really well-written story about the impossible romance. Stephenie Meyer knows how to describe details in a way to capture the attention of the reader, and to make the whole "vampire" deal far more appealing than it actually is.
I was actually very impressed with the quality of the novel, and did enjoy listening to it as an audio book. I plan to continue with the rest of the series.
I would like to note, though, that it is another case in which the book is MUCH better than the movie. After finishing the book, I watched the movie, and I can tell you, I was bitterly disappointed. It contains the main general idea, but it's done in a way that takes away the beauty of the story; it's as if someone is trying to compress a 10 hour movie into 2 hours, and the beautiful discussions and arguments are lost during that compression.
If you're hesitant about reading it because you don't like vampires, I would say go ahead and give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised. These vampires are really different!(less)
