Sophie Dalton has been mistaken as a hooker by an attractive business man named Grayson. She finds out later that Grayson is her perfect sisters boyfriend and she has to cope with the humiliation. She ends up working for him and both of their lives end up being hell… or so it was when I stopped reading after 3/4ths of the book.
Let's start with Sophie:
Are we supposed to like Sophie? Because I don't. She's a little bit of a bimbo who whines and complains that Grayson - who apologize many times - mistook her for a hooker. We are reminded about her "humiliation" in the elevator constantly and it got tiring after the third time she mentioned it.
One redeeming feature about Sophie is her spunky attitude. Even though her morals are questionable and she's a confused person, her personality is sparkly.
Now onto Grayson:
Are we supposed to find Grayson's personality attractive? Because I don't. (tad repetitive sentence but I seriously have these questions in my head.) He's a cold human being and Sophie tries to "soften him up" but it doesn't work. NOTHING works! He's just an ass hole who we're supposed to fall for. Sophie is actually falling in love with this unfeeling robot - remember the bimbo aspect I talked about - and I just can't see any redeeming qualities in him.
He only gives a "hint of a smile". I mean seriously dude lighten up. Give me SOMETHING to work with besides your looks.
I kept waiting for Sophie and Grayson to get along and stop acting like children when they're with each other. They're constantly blaming the other person for their past actions, and nothing moves forward. Grayson thinks Sophie's attitude is too bright the whole book... It was SO depressing and I couldn't continue.
Sorry guys but this wasn't for me.
I received this book from the publisher for an honest review. ...more

This novel is mostly about a middle grade student trying to grow up (but in a 22 year olds body). She's immature, boring, and I couldn't finish this. Horrible book and I don't recommend it, nor will I try out this author again....more

Most of my criticism has to do with the main character. I can't relate to people who get abused repeatedly by someone and doesn't do anything about it. Bettina didn't want to break up with her boyfriend Brady even though he made her life hell.
Not only that, the ending was a turn off. Bettina finally realized her feelings and BAM, shit hit the ceiling for no reason. To people this is a journey of self discovery but to me it's a scared girl who doesn't know how to defend herself. Again, can't relate.
Not saying this is a horrible book; it's just not my style....more
