"Monhegan Light" is pretty alright with regards to a man who reminisce his dead wife while on a holiday with his current young girlfriend. "The Farther You Go" has a kind of weird story connection between father and daughter. This story tells from the father's view. "Joyride" is about a mother who is in denial in her marriage and takes her son for a joyride. Thinking of escaping from her husband which in fact is a good man and ends up going back to him. "Buoyancy" got me lost for awhile. A retired professor with his wife who just had a nervous breakdown. "Poison" can be light to read but it has hidden feelings. 2 writers who are friends and from the same town. Both are successful with different agendas. "The Mysteries Of Linwood Hart" will have to be my favourite among all 7 titles. Maybe because it revolves around a 10year old boy and curious over life. (less)

The character of Laure, Ameline & Melanie are very interesting and inspiring. Sometimes I wonder what would I do if it happens to me.
Don't be intimidated by the thickness of this book. It is actually a very enjoyable and easy book to read. (less)

This story reminds me of the movie "Somewhere In Time". A romantic fantasy movie in 1980 by the late and great Christopher Reeve and the beautiful Jane Seymour. This book is not for everyone. Its more for the romantic ladies. :)(less)

Thus makes you realize how fragile life is.
The author did a good job explaining the character's feelings and doings, in which you feel almost certain that is what you'll be doing if you end up being a widow at an early age. There's humor and funny sarcasm as well, so don't worry, this book is sad but quite entertaining. I enjoyed reading it. (less)
