So when I was offered this for review, I thought, why not? But, I was mildly disappointed with this one.
It seemed as if the chef/writer wrote this one specifically for people with money. Most of the items you needed to bake bread with you had to special order. The flour needed for the recipes, you can't find at your local supermarket. I had to look them up online and purchase them online.
The introduction to this book was very detailed and informative as was the tutorial. However, if you are not a seasoned baker, I would not recommend this book. I'm just starting out on making breads and this one made my head spin with the information overload. I think the next book that he writes, he needs to make sure that the ingredients are something you can find in almost any supermarket without having to special order them....more

I have loved them ever since I was a little girl and my grandma would go out and buy me the newest book. We would sit together and read them, on rainy days, or when I didn't feel good, and even on days when everything was great. These were always the perfect bedtime/anytime book. Just a lot of great memories there, that is why I'm so glad that I can finally share this love with my little girl.
As always, the Berenstain's deliver. Not only was this as good as I remember the others, but I think this one had a little something extra to offer. Brother and Sister are up to no good again, but this time they are bragging about themselves to one another, trying to top the other. They soon realize what they are doing when Gramps points it out. This is a great book to teach your children that it's not alright to brag about your accomplishments, and it refers to the Bible as well (I don't remember the older ones doing that).
I can't wait to start buying more of these and even some of the classic ones for my daughter....more

It's perfect for children who have loved ones that are in the military or far away or just ones that don't get to see a loved one as much even if they are close by. I have read this to my daughter several times now and each time she smiles and loves it....more

There is a very good explanation of that: I absolutely LOVE cooking and trying new foods! I have so many cookbooks and recipes I have found over the internet that I have printed out and have tried. I also love tweaking them to suit my and my families taste, especially when I have a very picky 5 year old in the house. This coming year, I have actually decided to start eating more healthy and low and behold, I won a silent auction at my daughter's school for a 3 month gym membership, so I will be cashing in on that come the new year plus eating more healthy. Win Win!
The Skinnytaste Cookbook has so many wonderful recipes in it, and guess what? You can't even tell they are healthy for you. I'm serious! Well some of them you can, but the majority of them you can't. We recently tried the Too-Good-to-Be-True Baked Potato Soup (my fiance and I love soup) and it was amazing! A lot of flavor and get this, it has cauliflower in it. Yep. And the only way that I usually eat my cauliflower is swimming in ranch or in a broccoli salad, where the broccoli dominates the cauliflower. I can't wait to try out the rest of the recipes!
I highly recommend this cookbook for everyone!...more
