All Aiden ever wanted was his mate. So, when he finally found her, he couldn’t believe how lucky he was until she was taken from him. Now, sixty years later, Aiden can only but remember what his bond to Larissa felt like. Her loss left him bare. How can a man recover from such loss? Finding a new pack, gives Aiden some hope but can’t replace the yearning in his heart. Until the night that changes everything…
On a mission to find the ones responsible for trafficking vampire blood, Aiden and his pack visit one of the most popular vampire clubs. Everyone knows what they should be looking for and that’s not a vampire that looks like Larissa. Aiden can’t help himself but follow the woman who looks exactly like his dead mate. Larissa and he are face to face when their old bond reactivates. The force of the bond is so powerful that Larissa is knocked out while Aiden seems unable to control his wolf. But for a while everything and everyone is forgotten because for a while his mate is back!
After been awaked from a sixty years stasis by a witch (who claims to be her friend), Larissa has many questions but most importantly she feels that she is forgetting something or someone. So when she bonds with the wolf rumored to have killed her parents, Larissa needs some answers and fast.
But is she ready to face the truth that was taken from her?
Hunter Reborn was a beautiful book. It was about second chances, a deep love that managed to survive through the ages and finally it was a story that healed. Aiden thought he got his mate back and he once again became the carefree man he was, only to be crashed again by Larissa’s lack of memories. Their bond was back but Aiden needed to claim her again, his Larissa. Much as he wanted to claim her, he had to earn her trust first and help her remember the love they once shared.
I fell in love with this book, with Aiden and the love that never weakened. Beautiful, magical and enthralling! That’s what this book was. We got to see Aiden and Larissa making new memories but the author didn’t neglect to give us glimpses of the life they shared. It was amazing seeing how they met, how they fell in love and how they claimed each other. Their stubbornness, their determination, their fierceness and their love made this story so exceptional.
But not for a minute think that this is just a romance. We get action, suspense, a bit of mystery, twists and turns and amazing secondary characters. Some we already know and some are new. We get to see Connor and Anna, Vivian and Lucas (little cuties), Jayce and Kat, Ryan and Teresa (new couple on the horizon) and Natalia. One character I didn’t expect to see was Jayce’s brother, Aldric. Aldric makes his appearance here and although I didn’t like him that much in the beginning, I can say that he wasn't the bad guy I thought him to be.
I really liked this book! Highly recommended!

“People didn’t always love who they should, or the ones who were good for them.”
I expected this one to be about one of the remaining seven but while i“People didn’t always love who they should, or the ones who were good for them.”
I expected this one to be about one of the remaining seven but while it wasn’t, it didn’t disappoint!
The 7th book in the Guild Hunter series, is about sexy, Cajun vampire Janvier and the incredible vampire hunter, Ashwini.
Archangel’s Shadows picks up after the battled that rocked the streets of New York. Now, comes the hard part: rebuilt the city. A task not so easy to do, especially now that there’s a new predator in town.
Despite still recovering from her recent injuries, Ashwini is tasked to investigate the cause behind the recent horrible murders. She may be smart but in this case a little help would come handy.
Janvier knew from the first time he saw her that she was meant to be his. Ever since they met, he realized there would be no one else for him. After the recent events, Janvier is more determined than ever to claim what’s his. So, when things get an unexpected turn and Janvier finds himself working with Ash, they both know that their time has come. But something is holding Ash back. Janvier doesn’t know everything there is to know about her and Ash is afraid to reveal her secrets to him. Revealing her secrets to him would mean to lose him.
I was anxious to read their story. In every book in the series we usually got a glimpse of them and every time, we see them running around each other. Finally, they have stopped running. Their attraction and the sexual tension is off the charts. Janvier and Ash were so passionate and devote to each other, even when they weren’t a couple yet.
Of course, truth be told, I expected this book to be for one of the remaining seven. I can’t say I was disappointed with the story we got. The Cajun and Ash’s story was enjoyable. I was disappointed though, with the fact that we didn’t get to read Illium or Venom or even Aodhan’s story. We did get some glimpses of them but they weren’t many. Let me just say that I see changes coming on the horizon…
Illium’s power’s are getting stronger, the legion still stands with Raphael and Elena (I personally loved them! They were so curious about the world they woke up into and they were a unit but they had to learn how to act as individuals. I also loved the example Elena used to show them that each could be different but together they could be alike).
All in all, Janvier and Ash’s story was amusing. I loved their relationship and their connection with Naasir. I’m so anxious to know more about him. I hope the next book tell us his story. ...more
“I will love you even when I am dust on the wind.”

After reading Archangel’s consort, I was so disappointed. So, after“I will love you even when I am dust on the wind.”
*Beware: Spoilers ahead*
After reading Archangel’s consort, I was so disappointed. So, after reading this one, I can say that I’m ready for more.
First thing first, some background story. As most of you may know, Dmitri is one of the seven of Raphael’s. Raphael’s league of seven consists of seven powerful and trusted angels and vampires (Aodhan, venom, Jason, Dmitri, Illium, Galem and Naasir). Dmitri is one of the oldest vampires and Raphael’s second hand. But what many of you don’t know is that Dmitri never wanted to be a vampire.
After brutally losing his wife and two children, Dmitri wants nothing but to join his family. When Raphael gives him the opportunity to join his then forming seven, Dmitri finds some hope. Needless to say, Dmitri accepts.
Now, years later, Dmitri hasn’t changed a bit. Dark, edgy and dangerous, he dominated the streets of New York. I have to admit that in the beginning of the series, Dmitri wasn’t my favorite one but after witnessing his past, I understand why he’s the man he is now.
As long as the romantic part of the book, I can say that I was disappointed. Honor was a great heroine with a hunted past of her own. How she managed to maintain her humanity id beyond me. But she did and that’s what matters in the end.
My problem was with neither Honor now Dmitri. I can’t say I loved them but I can say that I liked them. They just didn’t work out for me. Honor needed a patient, sweet man while Dmitri needed his wife. He couldn’t be with Honor because he couldn’t give her what she needed the most, help. He was stubborn, adamant, always did what he wanted and never discussed anything with Honor. I get it. He was in love with his long gone wife all these years and I can’t judge him. But since you know you cannot love someone else then why are you giving hope to them! Honor had been through much, she didn’t need Dmitri’s pity.
So yeah, all the while I kept thinking that maybe the author was going to bring his wife back to life and give Honor a better match.
What was really weird was seeing Raphael and Elena from Dmitri and Honor’s point of view. After three whole books about them, I didn’t think I could handle their “relationship” any more. But I did miss them a little (weird I know!). we also go to see Illium (who I love), venom (who I’m beginning go like) and Jason (who I’m not sure how I feel about).
In the end, I believe, everything worked out. Both Dmitri and honor got what they were looking for and had their HEA.
Once again, I can’t say that I loved this book but truth is, I enjoyed it!
“They didn't understand that she held his heart, held it so utterly that there was nothing he wouldn't do, no line he wouldn't cross to keep her safe.“They didn't understand that she held his heart, held it so utterly that there was nothing he wouldn't do, no line he wouldn't cross to keep her safe.”
Archangel’s kiss is the second book in the Guild hunter series and it picks up exactly were the previous left off.
After almost dying Elena wakes up from a year long coma to find herself altered. Elena has become an angel. Raphael has made her the impossible. The first angel ever to be made.
But with Elena’s new powers she’s in more danger than ever. In order to keep her safe, Raphael takes her to the refuge (a place where all the baby angels are brought up) so that she can regain her powers. Strange things begin to occur to the refuge and so Elena and Raphael must find the one threatening the refuge’s peace.
Once again, I was surprised by Nalini’s angels. The eldest of the archangels, Lijuan, was so corrupted by her growing powers that she even started raising the dead. After finding out about Elena, the first angel to be made, she decides to throw a ball in her honor in Beijing. That actually is what urges Elena to learn to control her powers asap.
Raphael, who I didn’t quite like that much, was actually very supportive to Elena that even ordered his sever (a group of seven powerful and trusted warriors consisted of both angels and vampires) to train her. On the other hand, Elena was so stubborn. She overestimated her powers and put everyone in grave danger.
Besides that though, she was a strong character who was hunted by her past. I felt so bad for her. She had to endure horrible things and the only parent she had, treated her like a stranger. It was so painful reading her flashbacks but I think that her past made her the person she’s now. Deep down she was the vulnerable child that had just lost her mother and sisters. Raphael was the perfect match for her. Partly because he had the same horrible past as Elena and partly because he truly cared for her. They respected each other and acknowledged each other’s feelings.
One thing I really liked was the action. I loved the flying and fighting lessons, the history and political lessons by both Raphael and Jessamy. Were very helpful in understanding the archangels world.
Filled with romance, vampires, angels, hunters and two incredible main characters, archangel’s kiss will definitely capture your attention.
“I’ve waited for you for longer than you could ever possibly imagine”
I think I say this for every Alexandra Ivy book but it feels like I’ve waited for“I’ve waited for you for longer than you could ever possibly imagine”
I think I say this for every Alexandra Ivy book but it feels like I’ve waited forever for this book. I know it hasn’t been that long but every time I’m waiting for a Guardians of Eternity book to come out, time doesn’t seem to pass. I believe that the main reason I feel this way is because I know that I’m going to love the characters and the book. I’, also not a very patient person when it comes to book!
Cyn, the vampire clan chief of Ireland and Fallon, Sally’s sister and the Chatri princess are in a lot of trouble. The Oracles are being manipulated by a strange threat and Siljar demands that Fallon and Cyn find and eliminate the threat before it’s too late. Someone pulls the strings, he wants to control the Oracles and make them cast a spell that will eventually result in the death of all demons. Cyn and Fallon will have to figure out who the threat is or else they all will be doomed.
This was… I have no words! It was just fabulous. It captured my attention from the very beginning and in the end it made me feel nostalgic. Cyn and Fallon were the best couple. Even from the previous book there was something between them that it just couldn’t be ignored. Their competitive relationship, their arrogance and stubbornness, their determination and protectiveness were what captivated me.
Cyn was a great leader but when he was around Fallon he forgot everything. The bond between them was a strong one even if they denied its existence. You could tell they were in sync from the very beginning.
I could go on and on about my love for Cyn and Fallon but I really want to talk about the secondary characters. There were plenty characters from the previous books. Almost every character in the series is mentioned but there were only a few who had an important role in the book. Styx, Viper, Dante even Levet were some of the active secondary characters. We also get to meet Fallon’s fiancé, Magnus. I have to admit that I wasn’t such a huge fan of his in the beginning but as you get to know him better, which you will, you will just love him too. I don’t want to say much about his character but he is more arrogant than Cyn and I think that says a lot.
The end made me feel so nostalgic. I can’t believe that this is the end of the series. The end of the book was perfect, I had no problem with the book I just can’t believe that it’s over. The book totally prepares you for the end of the series but still I can’t say that I’m not sad. I’ve been following this series since the first book came out. I always waited for the next book to be released, always loved the stories and every unique character and now I just can’t let that feeling go. To say that it was an incredible journey would be an understatement!
When Darkness Ends will totally satisfy you. The last book in the Guardians of Eternity series is nothing but perfect. Action- packed, full of suspense, romance, a sexy arrogant, bad-ass alpha hero and an equally stubborn heroine. This book is a must read (actually the whole series is a must read).
Just read it! Highly recommended!

"I want to keep her with me forever. I just found her. I’m not prepared to let her go." -Shane
Marked by the Vampire is the second addition in the Purga"I want to keep her with me forever. I just found her. I’m not prepared to let her go." -Shane
Marked by the Vampire is the second addition in the Purgatory Series by Cynthia Eden. This book tells the story of Dr. Olivia Maddox and Shane, an FBI Agent.
Olivia is an ambitious doctor who hopes to get access to the Purgatory prison, where the most dangerous paranormals are sent, in order to furher research the paranormal powers. Shane is sent to the Purgatory as an undercover agent with a mission. His mission though is forgotten as soon as he meets Olivia on his way to "hell". Olivia suspects that something's off with Shane but she couldn't be more wrong...
Shane isn't your average vampire but neither is Olivia. They both have sectrets and a past that should stay hidden. Their attraction is immediate as is the deep connection they have. Shane knows that the Purgatory is out of control and Olivia won't be able to survive without him protecting her. Olivia knew that Purgatory wasn't the average prison but the corruption within terrifies her. When "accidents" start happening to her and especially when a werewolf discovers what Olivia really is, she knows that she must leave. Leaving though isn't as easy as she thinks.
Shane is shocked by the anorthodox way the purgatory is run. When he feels that the danger cannot be ignored anymore, he just grapps Olivia and escapes. But running won't save them from either threat, not the werewolves and surely not the person who knows Olivia's every secret, even the ones she doesn't know yet...
Cynthia has done it again! Eden's books are always a must-read for me even when I don't know the synopsis. The purgatory series is a new series bound to keep you at the edge of your seats. Shane is the typical vampire alpha and Olivia is something else. She surely has unexpected secrets that may destroy them all. But that doesn't make her the bad guy. She's a good person that struggles to find the truth that's been hidden from her. Someone knows the truth and is trying the make Olivia part of their team, even without her will. But Shane will do anything to protect the woman he thinks is his mate...
“I don’t need as much blood to survive as other vampires do. Sunlight can never hurt me, but I do have a weakness. One.”
I loved the book! It had a nice flow, gripped my attention from the beggiing till the end, it had action, suspense, romance, lots of paranormal creatures and an unexpected end. This is actually the reason why I love Cynthia : you can never tell the end! She just surprises you everytime. I literally can't wait for the next installment in the series CHARMING THE BEAST, Connor's story maybe with Chloe (releasing later in 2014).
Note: MARKED BY THE VAMPIRE can be read as a stand alone but I'd definitely recommend reading The Wolf Within first, the first book in the series!
Saving his mate is the fourth book in the Crescent Moon Series. This book tells the story of Rex and Margery.

Rex, a vampire, is a bounty hunter. He's current case leads him to Kincaid pack territory. Grant, the alpha, allows Rex to hunt on his territory and not only that but he also gives him the choice of becoming a member of the pack. Rex never felt that he belonged with the vampires but after meeting Margery, his decision is made.
Meet Margery. She's a member of the Kincaid pack and she knows better than to get involed with a vampire. After nearly been killed by rogue vamps she's determined to resist Rex. But can she really??
After Margery is taken by the people Rex hunts, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her...
Once again, Savannah Stuart (aka Katie Reus) brings us an incredible book filled with action, romance, suspense and an alpha hero. I loved sooo much this couple and despite the obstacles they met they managed to overcome them and find happiness! I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

The day I can’t protect what’s mine, I’ll hang up my fangs, Roke
Hunt the darkness is the eleventh book in the Guardians of eternity series by AlexanThe day I can’t protect what’s mine, I’ll hang up my fangs, Roke
Hunt the darkness is the eleventh book in the Guardians of eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. This book tells the story of Roke, a vampire clan chief and Sally, a powerful witch.
Mating with Roke was an accident! Or so they both think. After destroying the Dark lord, Sally accidentally triggered the mating between Roke and herself. The only way to releasing the spell, is to find her father. A task very difficult considering that her mother never revealed to her his identity. The search becomes even more difficult when Roke decides to join the hunt...
Roke never wanted a mate like Sally impulsive, stubborn and trouble maker. He's trying to fight his instincts and stay away from her but it's not as easy as he thought. He may not have wanted a mate but he got one. But for how long? I really loved Roke, he was so different from the other males in the series and that really drew me to him. He was determined, strong-willed, protective, territorial, loyal but most of all he was against the mating. He's the first male in the series who's so against the mating and he's not shy to admit it. He believes that the sooner they find Sally's father the better. But after joining the hunt he begins to doubt his choice. Fake or not, though, the mating feels very real..
Sally's life hasn't been easy but neither was Roke's. They both had to go through a lot and they both survived. She never expected to be mated to a vampire, especially someone like Roke, but now she has to find a way to undo it! As their journey begins, they uncover secrets that threat to rip them apart. Sally isn't sure if her life is more dangerous without Roke—or with him. . .
I loved, loved this book. The world Alexandra has created is bound to captivate you! It gripped my attention from page one till the very end. It left me wanting more. Sally was such an incredible lead female while Roke did what vampire alphas do best, he was just AMAZING! The chemistry between them was already visible from the previous book in the series but here they "combusted".
What I also loved about the book was the secondary characters. Levet, of course, was a huge part of the book. The "savior" of the world comes again to "save" the situation. A charmer for the ladies but a nuisance for the alpha vampires, Levet was literaly an intergal part of the book. We also get to meet, the clan chief of Ireland, Cyn and Sally's family. I was beyond fascinated with Cyn and his many talents!!! I hope the next book will be about him and Fallon, Sally's engaged sister...
Filled with action, suspense, romance, drama, humor and a loveable gargoyle, Hunt the darkness will definitely captivate you!
Note: This book is part of a series and it can't be read as a stand alone. If you do decide to read it before reading the other books in the series please keep in mind that some parts will definitely confuse you!

The Phoenix series was like a roller-coaster for me. The first book was beyond amazing, the second one I didn't really liked much but this one was... abso-fucking-lutely incredible!
Cynthia Eden always manages to surprise me. This book was the best surprise ever!
Enter Dante. Dante, aka the Immortal one, is the most powerfull and oldest phoenix based on the Genesis informaton. Dante has been held a prisoner in the Genesis facilities as long as Cassie can remember.
Cassie has known Dante since she was just eight. From the very beginning she knew that Dante was the good guy and always tried to help him. Now years later, she's trying to do the good thing by finding a cure for all the "expiriments" her brother and father conducted. But as briliant as she is, finding a cure isn't that easy. She needs a little miracle to help her friends/patients and she just found it! The phoenix's tears can heal everything and nobody knows that better than Cassie. Is Dante willing to cry for Cassie once again?
The danger is closer than they think and they will do anything to have Cassie as part of their team. Old and new enemies collided in the future Cassie and Dante and trying to create...
I really loved Dante! He was so tortured by both his past before Cassie and his past with her, but yet he was strong and determined to survive and protect Cassie. Dante has died so many times while into the Genesis program that his memories aren't intact. It's hard to tell if it's a memory or just a dream. Yet every time he rises from the ashes after a death he's always searching for her, even when he doesn't recognise her, he knows that something's missing from his life and that's Cassie. Being the daughter of the man who actually created Genesis, Cassie hasn't had an easy life. Cassie and her brother have been their father's guinea pigs since they were children. The first time he "killed" her, she was just eight. But Cassie never wanted to be like her father or brother. Instead, she wanted to help the people around her and that's what she did. Above everything though, Cassie wants to help the only man she's always loved, Dante.
Cassie and Dante's love story was epic! I fell for them so fast. Their story was heart-breaking and yet healing as well. How can you love a man so deeply when he doesn't even remember you is beyond me, but Cassie loved her Dante even then. They were both so strong, protective of the people they loved and loyoal. Dante was the typical alpha hero, badass, arrogant, hot-hot-hot and territorial. At the same time, I can say that he had a very hard/unexpected past and that made him very wary of the other phoenixes and people. On the other hand, Cassie always tried to see the good in people, she wanted to help the others, she was very kind despite the cruel way she was brought up, she never gave up, she was so selfless but she had a mind of her own and was very stubborn! Cassie was such a mystery!
Playing with fire was a stupendous book! It was packed with action, many twists and turns, lots of suspense and of course romance. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough! Once I finished it, I immediately re-read it! The book had a nice flow but yet the romance was never rushed. We already know that Cassie loves him but that doesn't mean that Dante feels the same. He's confused, doesn't really know what love is but what he does know is that Cassie is meant to be his. They were so perfect together. The epilogue will probably just blow you away, personally it was my favourite part of the book!
As always the secondary characters played major roles in this book. We have Trace, who we know from the first book in the series. Trace is Eve's bff and a werewolf shifter who was injected him with Lycan-70, a serum that brings out the beast and Cassie is trying to help him. Then we have Vaughn, who we have also met in a previous book. Vaughn was a vampire who was infected by a virous that affects vamps and became really violent. Vaughn is one of Cassie's patient's as well. I actually loved both of them and I can't wait to read their story. I really hope they get one. I simply cannot accept that this book is the end of the series! We also got to see Cain and Eve, the couple from the first book in the series. It was very interesting seeing how far they have come, really loved them!
This book was an exceptional addition to the series. Another 5 stars for Cynthia! Can't say I'm surprised since most of her books are 5 stars for me and this was no exception. I can't wait to read more!

Dark Skye is the 14th instalment in the Immortals after dark series by Kresley Cole. This book tells the story of Lanthe and Thronos.
WoW! WoW! WoW!
This book was beyond my expectations. I knew from all the teasers that it was going to be incredible but really it was EPIC!
We've known Lanthe and Thronos from the previous books in the series but we never really knew their story (which goes far back) and it was such an intriguing journey to follow.
Melanthe is the Queen of Persuasion, a Sorceri while Thronos is the Prince of the Skye, a Vrekener. They are supposed to be enemies but they have just found their other half.
“You smell like sky. And home.”
“What does that mean?”
“To me, you smell like no one else in the world ever has, or ever will.”
Lanthe and Thronos met when they were both very young but even then, they knew that their "friendship" should be kept hidden from their families. When Thronos's family discovered that their son's mate is a Sorceri, they decided to take matters upon their hands and strike against Lanthe and her family. They same night her parents are murdered and her sister almost killed, Lanthe commands him to fall from a height without using his wings, leaving him forever broken, both in the inside but in the outside as well. Since that night, Thronos has been hunting her to not only get his revenge but also his mate. What Thronos doesn't know though, is that Lanthe and Sabine have been hunted by his kind for a very long time.
Their hatred for each other is known throughout the Lore but that doesn't stop Thronos from hunting her and finally capturing her. Seems that Lanthe has escaped one prison (The Order) to just end up in another (Thronos's arms). But for Thronos things aren't as simple as they seem. Lanthe is his fated mate and thus he has been true to her for almost 500 years. Now the wait is finally over. He will have his mate and continue his bloodline. But first they have to escape from the island. Between Lanthe's unstable power and Thronos's broken body, escaping won't be that easy. The journey to Skye is going to be a long one and full of surprises...
I devoured this book (really)! Kresley Cole does not disappoint! Since reading Kiss of a Demon King, I've been "patiently" waiting for this EPIC story. Once again I was awed by this world Kresley has created. The wait was definitely worth it.
Lanthe and Thronos were two incredible characters with an overwhelming amount of chemistry. Thronos wasn't the typical arrogant hero, he was, though, too judgy (really). He judged Lanthe at every turn, he was jealous, controlling, a kill joy but he was also kind, a tortured soul, over protective and so much more. Above everything though, he was adorable (really!). When they were young, he used to eclose Lanthe with his wings, fly her over the clouds, tell her secrets, just being with her was enough for him(soooo adorable) and Lanthe wasn't that bad too. In the end they both got to see each other for what they were.
What I really loved was the glimpses we got from Holly and Cadeon and their twins, and Sabine and Rydstrom. What I didn't quite like was that besides them we didn't get to see other characters from the series, which we usually see (well except Nix, who was more confusing than ever)
My biggest question though is who's next??? I was so confused when I found out that this was going to be Lanthe and Thronos's story (don't get me wrong, I totally loved it) , since when finishing MacRieve I thought Munroe was next but now things got sooo complicating. So, who's next Munroe, Furie with maybe Kristoff or Nix(pls be her). One thing is sure: I know who I'm voting for.
“What is it with you and girls, Adrian, dear? Why do they either mean nothing to you or everything? It's always an extreme."
Silver Shadows is the fift“What is it with you and girls, Adrian, dear? Why do they either mean nothing to you or everything? It's always an extreme."
Silver Shadows is the fifth addition in the Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead.
Silver Shadows begins when The Fiery heart left off. After the cliff-hanger of an ending of the previous book it has been really hard waiting to see what Richelle was planning to do in this book. Adrian and Sydney took my breath away. I wasn't prepared for them.
After Sydney was discovered allying with the vamps, the alchemists took care of the situation by putting Sydney in a rehabilitation center, aiming to re-educate her again. I have to say that re-education was nothing like I expected it to be. Sydney (and some other ex-alchemists) had to go so much through. Re-education is so far from what the word suggests. It should have been called tortured instead, cause that's what it trully was. They would ty to break them (by starvation and other means) and then "teach" them again the alchemists's values. So, while Sydney was re-educated Adrian was the one who had it real bad. Without Sydeney, and with no means to find her, he became self-destruct again. Drinking, partying, failing his art lessons and blocking out the people that cared for him, Adrian was the old, sweet Adrian. I was sooo sorry for. He wanted to find Sydney so bad, to be with her once again but no matter what he tried he couldn't find her.
It was so painful having to watch them lose themselves. But in the end it all worked out. I was so proud of Sydney because despite everything that she went through she was still the Sydney we loved: logical, stubborn, brave and determined to help the people who needed her. With her brains and with Adrian's *cought* (Marcus's) resources they were able to defeat the alchemists once and for all and save other ex-alchemists as well. But what they don't know is that the alchemists have more resources than anyone else. Was Sydney rescued only to be caught again???
I really loved this book! It was full of surprises, some good some not so good, and so many twists. I never expected the end though, never. Adrian and Sydney have come so far and they proved that together they are unstoppable. Such a great team!
"He was my center, and there was nothing I wouldn't do, nothing I wouldn't give up, to keep him safe."
What I also loved was Sydney's other sister Carly. She was just soooo different from the other members of the family and I can't but hope to see her story as well (maybe with Marcus?! Pls) That was one of my most favourite scenes of the book, Carly and Marcus! I'll just continue dreaming...
I hate to say this but I have to warn you that this book is another cliff-hanger. I don't know why Mead has to put us through sooo much torture but I can do nothing but wait! I'm sure it will be worth it!
All in all, Silver Shadows was abso-fucking-lutely amazing. Filled with action, romance, suspense, vamps and alchemists Silver Shadows won't disappoint. It's a real page- turner!

Even is a journalist who landed the biggest story of her life! Infiltrating a scientific project for paranormals called Genesis, she wants to uncover the truth behind the so called experiments they perform on para but what she gets isn't what she wants...
Enter Subject Thirteen, aka Cain. Cain hasn't volunteered to be a "guinea pig" for the goverment but being as powerful as he is, isn't really helping his case. He's considered "unstable" and therefore he muct be contained. But can really someone as powerful as Cain be contained?
I really loved this new world Cynthia has created! I was really excited when I found out about this series and this book was an incredible introduction to it! I have actually never read a series or even a book about Phoenixes but Cynthia managed to make me a huge fan of them! Cain was basically an immortal. He'd die but then he'd come back stronger, rising from the ashes. It was still though, really hard watching him die. Every time he died, he lost his memory and a part of himself. But Cain was strong enough to fight for his freedom and to protect what's his. Eve, on the other hand, was such a mystery. We knew enough things about her but not what really matters: what she is. I really loved the fact that the author chose to hide that from us. Of course we get some hints about her origins, such as the fact that fire can't harm her but that's not saying much.
Anyway, Cain and Eve were the most perfect couple ever! They had such a chemistry, they "ignited".
Burn for me was an amazing book with lots of paranormal creatures, many twists and turns and of course action, romance, suspense and a little mystery. The secondary characters were incredible as well. Trace, Eve's bff and a werewolf shifter, was "yummy" and then we have Ryder and his mysterious Phoenix shifter, who we don't get to meet. Ryder is an unstable vampire! Really there's something off about him, I don't know what but I guess we'll see.
All in all, this book is a muct read. The end is totally unexpected, I could never see that coming and I can't wait for more.
To begin with, it was tot“I can see that you’re angry with me.”
“No shit, Sherlock!”
It's actually 2,5 Stars!
This book wasn't what I expected it to be.
To begin with, it was totally different from the other books in the series and not in the good way. When I found out that there was going to be a book about Oliver I was over the moon.So ,yeah! When I finished the book I was like "Only this? Where's the other half of the book?"
What I liked:
Oliver.I just looooooooooved him.Ever since I started the series I knew that he was special. And to tell the truth I don't think that Ursula was the perfect match fo him.I do admit though that she helped him when he needed someone the most. When even his friends didn't have faith in her. Moreover, I liked how amicable Oliver seemed to be with some of the characters we met in the previous book.
What I didn't like:
I don't know why but in this book the main characters from previous books (Samson and Zane mainly) were so hypocrites and hostile against Oliver when the only thing that he did wrong was point out the truth... And having read the previous books I'm aware of the fact that Samson and Zane are not actually so bad!!! Anyway, I didn't like Usrula.I didn't even like her name! Not to sound heartless, I'm sorry for what she went through but it's pretty hard for me to imagine that after three years imprisoned by vampires she's able to trust one of them. It's an irony.
All in all, it was a pretty decent book that should be read by those of you who have already read the previous one.
This is the second book in the Night series telling Lukas's story, a Night Walker made by accidenNight Demon is the first book I read by Lisa Kessler.
This is the second book in the Night series telling Lukas's story, a Night Walker made by accident by Calisto Terana in Night Walker.Lukas is appalled over his behavior when he was newly made and has been looking for information in order to end his existence.Being an archaeologist allows him to acquire as much information as possible about the origins of the Night Walkers.
Gretchen Finch's job is to assist Lucas.Gretchen is fascinated by his ferocity to find answers and despite all her efforts has come to care for him.
When something unleashes the Night Demon, Lucas decides to send Gretchen back to the US in order to keep her safe but Gretchen is determined to find out the meaning of their findings. Now it's just a matter of time to discover secrets that have been locked away since time began or the whole world could be destroyed.
Night Demon is story that has to do with the Mayan civilization.Lukas and Gretchen were both strong characters and I really enjoyed how the author created this unique bond between them and the intensicy of their relationship.Another thing that I liked was that they both took the time to consider the pros and cons of a relationship with each other.
This book can be read as a stand alone since the author gives the readers enough backstory to understand the world and the characters that were introduced in the previous books.I totally recommend this book to those of you who enjoy paranormal romance!
I received this book from Entangled Publishing in exchange of my honest opinion.
“Looks like two hundred years didn’t change the way that she felt about you, memory or no memory.”
Bound In Death is the fifth book in the Bound series“Looks like two hundred years didn’t change the way that she felt about you, memory or no memory.”
Bound In Death is the fifth book in the Bound series. This book tells the story of Alerac and Keira (aka Jane).
Keira is a vampire-to-be princess locked away in a castle waiting to turn. After the brutal murder of some werewolves, Alerac promises to avenge them and they only way to take out his target is through Keira. But neither of them expected what could happen.
Two hundred years later Alerac still remembers everything while Jane remembers nothing. How that's possible???Duh...Witches!!!Alerac will do anything to protect his mate while Jane will do anything to find out the truth!
But the past won't let them be.Old and new enemies surface determined to tear them apart.
A worth reading book with strong characters, both main and secondary ones.I especially liked Ryan, Jane's brother and Zoe, a werewolf from Alerac's pack who cannot shift.I would love to read more of them.Perhaps a novela?Yeah...
The book had a nice flow and there wasn't a moment that I got lost.Bound In Death can be read as a stand alone book as well.
Absolutely recommended to all vampire-werewolf lovers!!!
“I may be small, but my powers are mighty.” “So mighty that you’re hiding in a nymph’s apartment?” -Levet and Elijah
A pretty decent novella. Before rea“I may be small, but my powers are mighty.” “So mighty that you’re hiding in a nymph’s apartment?” -Levet and Elijah
A pretty decent novella. Before reading it I thought that it would be about Levet and only him, but I was wrong.
Well, the story gives as insight to why Levet fled Paris and the reason he finally returned.I hated hated his mother...How could she be so cruel is beyond me!!!I have loved Levet since the beginning of the series and still do...
In his effort to achieve his goal, Levet meets a nymph named Valla.Valla, is hunted by memories of the past! But that changes when she meets Elijah, the "local" clan chief. All Elijah ever wanted was to find his mate, so once he did he thought things would get easy! How wrong he was...Elijah helps Valla fight her nightmares and together they help Levet fight his battles!
A very short must-read novella of the series...
I'm looking forward to reading Levet and Yannah's story!I really like them together and let me tell you just this: there is an amazing scene between them in Darkness Avenged .
