I have always been a bit of a skeptic when it comes to the GFP issue for various reasons and am always keeping an eye out for a bit more insight. So when this story came along, I jumped on it. Add to the fact it seems loosely based on the Cocky Boys, I thought it would be fun to see a story with possibly recognizable characters. This turned out to be just what I was looking for.
Chris is the guy who was sort of down on his luck ever since a bad mistake in high school cost him almost everything. He’s still living on the couch of his best friend, Michael and his boyfriend Max when he sees a flyer from All Cocks looking for new talent. He eventually gives in and decides to call for an interview.
This is where he meets Victor, a co-owner with his two partners with whom he is also in a triad relationship. Chris is eased in to the scene and given a mentor, another GFP actor, Jordan, and porn star Kris is born. The story progresses, showing a little of what it’s like to be involved with All Cocks, staying at their home and shooting movies. It also shows some of the struggles GFP actors face which was something I really liked seeing and gave me a new perspective on things.
Things start changing for Chris/Kris after he discovers he enjoys and ends up needing the help of his first scene partner to function for others. It helps him to open up to the idea that he seems to have similar feelings about another of the actors, Linc. Lincoln was a really sweet guy who had relationship/trust issues in the past, but has had his eye on Chris from the beginning.
Once these guys decide to give their relationship a go, they still have some issues to face which I think made things more realistic. I had been waiting to see how they were going to handle working with others after deciding to be together, and I think it was done very well.
This story grabbed my attention and kept it through to the end. The sex was really hot, both the porn scenes and the guys on their own. There are many side characters whose stories I am very interested in seeing play out, and I definitely want to see more background on the tempting triad running the show. I didn’t love every aspect, but there was plenty that I did enjoy which left me really looking forward to reading more of this series. ...more

This story was a bit different. It’s about Laz and Ben, going through some issues when their D/S relationship becomes more, and it follows them a bit through some of their scenes and lives together. Laz owns the store/dungeon/club where the guys all congregate and partake. Ben is his sweet sub.
But the story is also about the other characters, which take over the story almost more than Laz and Ben. Stealing the show by a mile is Ms. Dre, a glamorous queen who is also a top and bad ass domme. She is a very powerful character and it takes just the right person to fit with her. Luckily she gives Royal a second chance and we get to see her really shine.
Then, there is Otto and Sherm, an actual couple who are the guinea pigs for the new products and toys for Laz’s store. They are sweet and quite interesting as they test drive some of the latest and greatest. Bran is one of the straight friends who has yet been able to keep a girlfriend. Ms. Dre comes up with an interesting and fruitful solution to this when she plays matchmaker. Rounding out the group is grumpy Max, who has a big secret of his own. Honestly, I think I enjoyed their stories most of all, as they were each quite interesting in their own ways.
I honestly was not blown away by the BDSM aspects here. They weren’t bad, but I found I was more interested in other things. At times, the scenes felt just a tiny bit colder than I expected from people in actual relationships, but I really enjoyed them the rest of the time. The coffee clutch meetings were fabulous and helped endear me more to the characters as the story went on. This story really shows how friends become family, one of which I really wouldn’t mind being a part. ...more

What a hot little palate cleanser this story turned out to be. I wasn’t quite sure what to think as this story progressed, but much like Greg, I was pulled into the moment by Angel and their intense sexual chemistry and tension. There was never a question as to how hot these two were together, and just when things seemed about to get a little bit out of control, the twist was revealed and the ahhhh moment changed everything.
I loved these two together in both parts of the story. After the second half, all I could think was that I wanted to know more about them and see more of them together. I’m not generally a fan of short stories mainly for this very reason. When they are done well, I want so much more, and that is definitely the case here.
So, if you are looking for a hot afternoon quickie, be sure to pick this one up. ...more

This was one of those books where you start out really not liking a character or characters much in the beginning, but they blossom and grow into something totally different as the story progresses.
This is how I felt about Joshua. Yes, he had reasons for running in the first place, but he has basically lived off his trust fund traveling and partying his life away for the past seven years. It isn’t until his cousin and good friend asks him home to attend her wedding, plus the fact that he is running low on funds, that he comes home at all. He learns that his father died over a year ago, he was left with no inheritance, and some outsider is running the company his father tried to get him to take control of but which he basically threw in his father’s face before running off to party in foreign countries. Not very many redeeming qualities at this point.
Then we meet Ezra, a seemingly slick rich guy with the cars and ego to match. He screws guys left and right, not even remembering their names. But, he is harboring some dark demons. He has a crazy ex who blames him for the death of their young daughter and has yet to pull herself out of the downward spiral she began five years ago when the event occurred. He carries around a lot of guilt about this, but has put it enough aside to rise to the top of taking over Silverton Industries. He is dealing with the issues surrounding the company, as well as his psycho ex, and, we get glimpses of a few redeeming qualities from him, but not very many.
But when these two meet not knowing who each other really is, things begin to change, mostly from Ezra. They have explosive chemistry, that’s for sure. But then the truth comes out when their identities are made known to each other. What ensues is a lot of mistrust from both sides as they try to discover their respective motives. How did Ezra manage to get everything upon Bill Silverton’s death? How will Joshua manage to get back that which he believes should be his, etc. Ezra manages to convince Joshua to work with him, keeping him close, but the mystery and unanswered questions remain, even as their sexual chemistry explodes. The sex is extremely hot, especially as these two are pretty angry at each other and their circumstances throughout the story. But eventually, things shift and they are both left thinking about what is more important to them.
I really enjoyed this story. It is long, but it moves along at a good pace and kept my interest throughout. It was well written and the characters were shown in vivid color. There are some great side characters, including Joshua’s cousin, Violet, his best, albeit annoying, friend, Levi, and Ezra’s little brother, Felix. I was not ready to let these guys go once they finally had their plans figured out and am excited to see there is a sequel planned. This was my first book by Mr. John, and I was quite impressed and looking forward to reading more. ...more
Well this one didn't turn out to be what I expected, that's for sure. There is so much going on in this story that keep the pages turning. It4.5 stars
Well this one didn't turn out to be what I expected, that's for sure. There is so much going on in this story that keep the pages turning. It doesn't take long for things to take a dark turn. There's kidnapping, experiments, evil doers all around, demons, mpreg, and the list goes on. But it also is a fabulous love story that I was cheering for the entire time.
I make no secret about not being a fan of mpreg, but when my bestie said I would like this, I listened. This might be the first mpreg story where I actually enjoyed that aspect of it. Nothing is very overly detailed, which probably helped in my case, but there is enough to get a good grasp of what's happening. The same holds true for the torture/abuse, etc.
I absolutely loved Rex. He is a big sweetheart and the perfect mate for Jerry. The two together were perfect. It takes a while to get there, through most of the story actually. But there is happiness at the end, and it is well worth the wait. I definitely recommend giving this one a try....more
There are two parts to this story that end up blending together towards the end.
First, we have Jace, a young man without any family who left a promising modeling career for his now crazy abusive bastard of a husband. We learn enough about Jace’s situation to rally us behind his escape and possible future on his own. His getaway is successful and he eventually makes it to NYC where he hopes to get lost as he sorts out his life. He is very lucky in that he meets a wonderful new “family” in the small bar where he finds work. He also meets Detective Cobra Stallone who takes a quick liking to him. Things move rather quickly for these guys, but once Jace reveals this marital status, things slow down a bit. Cobra jumps right into protective mode and tries to keep Jace safe.
The other part of this story is Cobra’s involvement in trying to take down the sex traffickers. After losing his sister to the same fate, he has made it his mission to solve the missing children mystery and take down the people in charge. When things heat up with this situation, Cobra is pulled undercover and away from Jace for a short time.
Meanwhile, Jace’s soon-to-be ex has called in the big guns to find his runaway husband and things get a little crazy. There’s a PI and a crazy mercenary involved and it all gets a bit messy. But Cobra, his partner and his team are there to try to keep Jace safe, until they can’t, and things take a few turns for the worse with everyone involved.
My biggest struggle with this story was the POV changes which happened frequently and without any notice or separation. It was difficult to follow who was being talked about or doing the talking which took me out of the story with the need to backtrack in order to follow along. Some of the storyline was a bit over the top for me at times as well, but I enjoyed other aspects, and it kept my interest. Jace was sweet, but showed backbone when needed, and the guys made a good couple. There are also some good side characters, such as Barney, Cobra’s partner.
Overall, this was a good story for a first-time author. I see a lot of potential in the writing and am already looking forward to reading Ms. Lourdes’ next book. ...more
This was a really sweet shifter mates story. Blaze, Conner and Darric are the three most powerful alpha wolves in existe A review by The Blogger Girls.
This was a really sweet shifter mates story. Blaze, Conner and Darric are the three most powerful alpha wolves in existence, thanks to the Goddess Sirius. They each have their own abilities, but they require a fourth mate, an omega, to complete the legend of Orion’s Circle. This omega is very important, as he is also a Psi which enables him to aid the other three in various ways. For example, Conner is an empath which can be overwhelming at times. The omega helps take some of that and is able to calm Conner, thus strengthening him in the process. He functions in the same way with Blaze and Darric.
The guys find their omega in poor Aden, an omega wolf who has been used and abused by his pack. It is during one of their sporting events where they hunt down the injured and tormented Aden that Conner finds and rescues him. Aden has been through a lot at the hands of his pack leaders, none of it pretty. It takes a little bit of convincing for the guys to make Aden believe he is really safe, let alone that he is their mate. His entire life, Aden was led to believe omegas never mated, were not worthy and whose only purpose was to be a punching bag for the pack.
There is a bigger mission at play here than just finding their mate. Completing the circle will strengthen them and bring together a force hoping to ease the burdens and troubles of mankind. They hope to bring the humans and shifters together as never before to live side by side peacefully, helping each other, instead of harming. But things get in the way of this, not the least of which is Aden’s pack wanting him back.
There is a bit of mystery involved as to who the bad guys really are and how it will all play out. I really enjoyed this story. It didn’t take me long to really like and care about this Foursome. The characters are all very distinct, with different personalities and issues/needs, but all of them center around caring for and cherishing Aden, who sorely needs it. One thing I didn’t see coming which might be a tiny spoiler, was the introduction of mpreg into the story. I’m not a fan in general, but it was done in a way that I ended up not minding it at all, though that may change when things get a little farther along. As of now, it easily fits with the story line and should make things even more interesting in the coming story.
All in all, I really liked this one. It was really cute and sweet, but not overly so. It moves along at a nice pace and ended with me wanting to jump right into the next one. I’m really looking forward to seeing how these guys make out. ...more

Well, I’m happy to report that, for me, this dynamic duo has done it again. I loved this book and enjoyed devouring every word. If you have not read any of the books in this series yet, I highly recommend you read Quid Pro Quo and Take it Off (books 1 and 2) before picking up this one, in order to fully enjoy Rolex’ story. If you are strictly into one on one, I’d suggest you skip it, because from the get go, Rolex is with two of Market Garden’s hottest rent boys. On the Clock is more about Rolex (Blake) and Jason, but until they get there, there are some unbelievably hot scenes with some other guys, with Blake and Jason involved, of course.
Now for the story – Blake is an American millionaire who discovered Market Garden on one of this London trips. His voyeuristic kink was satisfied with Jared and Tristan, but once they retired, Blake was at a bit of a loss. Thankfully, Jared and Tristan recommended Blake give Jason a try. It was a good match right off the bat because Jason has a bit of a money kink. He loves what he does, does not come cheap and gets off on the money aspect. The more money he makes for his services, the more turned on he gets. Good thing Blake has the funds to make it work, and Jason definitely delivers. And let me just say that the banter, dirty talk and hot sex is just off the charts here, just as it was in the previous books. This seriously had one of the hottest Skype scenes I’ve ever read about.
Beyond that, these guys had a different chemistry. Blake’s usual issue with guys is their gold digging, not wanting the man, but the money, whereas Jason’s issue was guys thinking they could buy his affection, love, etc. These issues were off the table with these guys, which allowed their encounters to turn into a friendship and more as feelings grew. They still had some issues with Jason not believing it was real, and Blake feeling somewhat the same. Then there was the whole issue of them living in different countries. But, watching them figure it out kept me riveted to the end.
The writing, dialog, imagery, etc. was everything I’ve come to expect from these two talented authors. It seems silly to say this, but I get this feeling every time I read one of their books – these guys are just really good at what they do, and it really adds to my overall enjoyment of the book. Do I love every aspect of each story? Not usually. For example, when we first see Rolex in this story, I really didn’t remember him being that insecure, so it took me a little while to get back into his character. However, it didn’t take long for old Rolex to shine, and it didn’t take away from the quality of writing, in my opinion. I don’t have to love every little thing to know when a book is worth 5 stars to me. There are many factors, and not wanting a story to end is but one. I sincerely hope we get to see these guys again, even if they are making appearances in someone else’s story. I definitely recommend this series if you are at all interested in the rent boy theme. ...more

This book delivered exactly what I was expecting from Mr. Hassell. It had such a realistic feel to it. It had zero fluff, was angsty with flawed characters, and the sexual tension/chemistry was through the roof, even though the MC’s don’t spend much time being on the same page with one another.
Michael has some major issues, not the least of which have to do with his fear of a sexual relationship with his best friend changing their relationship in irreparable ways. His family is a mess – dad is an ugly drunk, and his brother has not made much of himself after being coddled all of this life. Michael is the most solid one of the bunch with his job teaching in the City.
His best friend, Nunzio was probably my favorite character here. I felt horrible for him through much of the story, especially once his feelings for Michael were known and seemingly not returned. How he orchestrated their first sexual encounter turned out to be one of the hottest scenes I’ve read in a while. And, he took a lot of crap from Michael over various things. I was a little disappointed we didn’t get to see more of his side of things, but I really had not trouble understanding his feelings.
Unfortunately, Michael spirals down pretty far with his depression and turning to alcohol in an attempt to deal with his life, or lack thereof. He makes quite a few poor decisions, but Nunzio, and his brother, Raymond, were there for him, as much as they could be. Michael really had to want to help himself before he could get any better.
I loved this world and was quickly pulled in. Being familiar with NYC maybe made it more realistic to me and a little easier to really feel the areas and places described, but Mr. Hassell’s ability to paint a picture here should make it pretty easy for anyone to see. I was so excited to see this was the first of a series, as there are quite a few characters I am eager to read more about. It wasn’t an easy story filled with fluff, but if you like things a little edgier with angst and tension and men who are all a little flawed one way or another, the reward is definitely worth it. ...more

This is a very intriguing start to a new series by the very talented, no holds barred, Mr. Bella. Here, we have various demon species at play with the focus being the very rare Agoto demon of which the main characters are two out of only five I believe.
Raphael is the main guy who is already a demon. Brian is a straight cop who pulled the wrong guy over, or just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Raphael’s demon recognizes Brian as its host mate, and Raphael has no choice but to mate with Brian thus allowing his demon to spawn a new one in Brian. These couplings are very rare, so when they happen, there is pretty much nothing standing in their way. Here is where the dub/non con comes in. Brian has no clue what is really going to happen, aside from being tied down and forced to have sex with a guy.
The first half of this story is about Brian’s coming to terms with the demon that is now a part of him and Raphael giving him the basics of which he will need to feed, survive, etc., as well as some of his new capabilities. I think the hardest one of all for Brian was having to see Raphael once a month for sex. Even though he believes he is totally straight, he is struggling with the fact that he actually enjoyed some aspects of their coupling. So, things are looking to get a lot more interesting in that department.
The story got even more interesting after Brian went back to work. He seems to be managing, although his cravings are getting a bit more uncontrollable as time goes on. He was eventually contacted by a secret organization looking to recruit him in their fight against evil demons and their attempts to close certain gates of Hell. While the other parts of the story were important, this is where it really got going for me. There was more of a long-term purpose laid out with various players, yet still had the issues from earlier for Brian to deal with.
I really liked Raphael’s character. He’s snarky, sassy and just a bit on the evil side, though I think much of that comes from circumstance. I sense some very exciting times ahead when Brian and Raphael next meet, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where this story is headed. It is a serial, so things are left open, but there is enough here to satisfy, and Mr. Bella isn’t one for making us wait too long for the next meal....more

This is book 4 of the series, but could probably be read on its own. However, I totally recommend you read the previous books to really get to know the characters involved here.
Michaels is a new addition to God and Day’s team. He made previous appearances as the officer who was longing for a spot on the team. He has now been there for a few years as the team sniper. He loves his job, but he is lonely and having a hard time watching the various relationships in place on the team. After a bust goes bad and he feels responsible, Michaels convinces God to let him prove himself when God calls in a bounty hunter favor.
Judge is a bad ass bounty hunter who is an old Army buddy of God. He works alone, his only partner is his Great Dane, Bookem. They get in, get the job done, and move on. He doesn’t do romance or relationships, especially after his last partner was killed. He is coming to a bit of a crossroads though, realizing he and Bookem are getting older and each job is taking more of a toll.
Unfortunately, he is unable to turn down God’s call for help and extremely reluctantly accepts Michaels tagging along. It doesn’t take long for these guys to start feeling the effects of the sexual tension between them. Michaels has some anger issues, and Judge has just the outlet. As with all the other books in this series, Ms. Via delivers crazy hot alpha males and scorching scenes with enough of an enjoyable plot to keep things interesting.
There were a few things in this one that prevented this from a higher rating. I didn’t quite feel like I knew the characters from the guys I knew before. It was still them, but they just felt a little different. I know it has been a few years, but Michaels seemed to have made quite a transformation, even if not all of it was negative. I don’t usually mention or allow editing errors to sway my feelings, but there were some pretty obvious examples throughout that kept pulling me out of the story.
That said, this was another solid story in an equally solid and very enjoyable series. Learning there is more in the works with these guys, even bringing some of the others back again, made me very happy at the end. I definitely recommend this, as well as the entire series, especially if you are a fan of bad ass alphas....more
