I am not sure what I was expecting when I grabbed a copy of this book from Amazon when it was free, but I definitely didn't expect to devour it in one sitting!!! Sara is handicapped, from birth her legs have been fused together, yet she is gorgeous and doesn't even realize it because she dwells on her legs. She is strong-willed and determined to make it on her own. Thank goodness she has her friend Gretchen to look out for her! Xanthus is one hot Dagonian! I had no clue what a Dagonian was (a creature similar looking to a mermaid but not a mermaid) but now I do! Man I loved this book; clean romance, hot guy, insecure gorgeous girl, mermaids? Dagnoians? Greek gods? AMAZING!!! There was action, drama, romance, family issues, oh and the whole different species thing going on! I love this world that Kelly has created! If you want to read a book that is compelling and unpredictable then Rising is just the book for you!(less)

I was so ecstatic when I found out she had and it was about the same royal family! This story is about Lylin, Ella's youngest sister. Right away I was taken in by Lylin's stubborn nature and her openness. I loved Rhys as a character and how strong, capable and yet mysterious he was. There is plenty of intrigue in this book which I adore and also plenty of romance! The chemistry between characters is sizzling while staying within appropriate bounds for a sweet romance. There are toe-curling kisses and love that will have you sighing and squeezing your own loved one tight. I loved the ups and downs, the unsurety of the future for Lylin, I loved it all! Princesses, dashing Lords, a King and Queen, a villain and intrigue...what more can this reader want? I loved it so much I stayed up until my eyes were burning and now I am hoping for another book in the series! I want more Annette K. Larsen, I want more!!!!(less)

He seemed so non-redeemable to me in the Love Birds of Regent's Park that I could not imagine liking him....at all...EVER!!! However, every now and again an author will turn the tables on the reader and have you begin to have an inkling of sympathy for the character until before you know it, you are rooting for them! I couldn't believe the magic Hartman wove by swaying by opinion of Conrad! The incidents with Conrad and his distaste for the outdoors and all animals brings a smile to my face just thinking about it! I laughed and laughed about each mishap that seemed to always befall him. Poor Conrad! I loved the changes that he began to make for himself and how he went from terrible villain (in my opinion) to a good guy. This is a fun and light read with a few serious notes in it, which are what I have come to love and cherish about Hartman's work! If you want to laugh, smile and enjoy a great story then The Unwanted Earl is the book you want to pick up! I received a copy of this book for free, this is my honest review.(less)

It was fun, flirty, and full of witty banter. Sabrina decides to patiently wait for her ex-fiance who just needs some 'time' to make sure he is ready for marriage. Now me, I would run the other direction if my fiance had already proposed and then decided he needed more time to be ready! Really? Anyway, Sabrina is convinced they are so right for each other but she continues to see him with this other woman. Enter the annoyingly-drop-dead-gorgeous and conveniently single Jack. Convenience and a pay-off for both brings the two into a fake relationship. This is where the fireworks begin! Bring on the swoon worthy kisses and the heart pounding love connection! If only the two can wake up and realize what they have together! I loved the run-ins with Sabrina's ex, the over protectiveness of Jack and the chemistry was sizzling hot! If you enjoy a light-hearted romance with laughter, this is the book for you! It kept me page-turning to the very end! A wonderfully well written book that I will read again and again!

I love regencies and this one is unlike any regency that I have read! Sophie literally drops into Theo's lap and their adventure begins! There is mystery, swoon worthy kisses, sizzling chemistry and action that leaps off the page at you! If every book by Hanbury is like this, I will be reading all of them! It was a page turner from the beginning and held my attention throughout the entire book. The pace was perfect and had just the right balance of romance, action and intrigue! If you want a regency with depth to its characters and romance that you can feel, then A Bright Particular Star is for you! I will be acquiring more Hanbury books shortly because I cannot wait to discover what else she has written! Rating: Clean romance, no swearing I received a complimentary copy of this book. The story is laugh out loud funny and has some of the sweetest moments as well! Hartman develops not only the human characters but the cat characters also! Hartman's writing made for real life scenes in my mind and I could envision the barn, the cats, the wind blowing through Jessie's hair! If you want a good laugh and some romance too, then you will love The Matchmakers! I received a complimentary copy of this book, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.(less)

Suddenly she finds herself passed over for the promotion she has worked five hard years for! Faced with a challenge she never foresaw in her perfectly planned out life, Jill turns to a friend for help! I love how she tried to embrace change even though she was such a planner! Her new haircut, dress and outlook on life! I really loved the scene at the wedding where she asked the groomsman Ryan to pretend to be her boyfriend! I could feel the sparks flying off of the page! Then the daggers Jill shoots him on Monday when she finds out he was the one who stole her promotion...priceless!!! You will LOVE Driven to Date! You will fall in love with the sexy hazel eyes of Ryan to the chivalrous side of him that wants to protect Jill and then you will find yourself rooting for him! Another fantastic novel by Susan Hatler, Driven to Date is one fun and flirty read! I received a gifted copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.(less)

Then when she finds out the news about her pregnancy, Talley does a wonderful job of capturing every emotion that Lauren goes through. When she finds out that the baby may have problems, I wanted to cry with her. Talley really packs strong emotions and feelings into this book! I could feel the pain, the heartache, and the indecision that Lauren was feeling. I could feel her frustration with her husband working long hours and their disagreements over the baby. And when Lauren made the ultimate decision about her baby, I cheered for her yet wanted to cry about it at the same time for what she would lose over it..her marriage. Imperfect Love is not a fluffy love story, it isn't a typical romance novel at all. In fact, the romance is such a minuscule part of the book. It is a book about choices, courage and love. This book is a journey. I found it to be a wonderfully emotional journey that I was glad to be able to read. I recommend this to anyone who likes substance to their books! Bravo to Rebecca Talley! I received a complimentary copy of this book as part of a blog tour. All thoughts and opinions are my own.(less)

Sheriff Andrea Jackson is wound up so tight, has to have everything in order and nothing out of place....will she ever relax? Newspaperman Mark Taylor is handsome and charming but has done the sheriff wrong. Can she every forgive him and give in to her feelings of attraction for Mark? Can she afford to be distracted during election year and with the robbery of the restaurant in town? Anything she tells Mark could end up on the front page of the paper! I fell in love with these characters, especially Andrea's Grandma! I felt like I was there in Tall Pines when Andrea visited the salon and the diner! I could picture the streets, the people, the community! A wonderful story of learning to let go and realizing what your true priorities are, A Minute on the Lips will have you smiling until the very last page!

I fell in love with Jessamine and immediately felt such strong emotions for her situation right from the start! Rogers completely pulls the reader into Jessamine's world, which is full of problems. I was reminded of the fairy tale Cinderella, but when all was said and done it really was nothing like Cinderella at all! I felt so many emotions throughout this book and I felt them so strongly. I wanted Jessamine to come out on top of all of her problems. I wanted her to rise above all of the terrible things her family had done to her. I couldn't believe so many people were out to make her life so miserable! Rogers' drew me in from the start and had me flying through the pages to the ending! If you want an emotional read full of ups, downs and all around emotions, this book is for you! An Edwardian novella full of romance and mystery, Jessamine's Folly is an all around winner! From the beginning to the end of the book, there was not one moment that the book was not interesting or begging me to read more! Rarely does a book come along that I literally cannot put down. But even more than that is the gripping tale that Bergren weaves. I didn't know what to expect, I didn't know what would happen next and that made Remnants exciting, heart-pounding and page-turning! The emotions the characters are experiencing just jump off the pages and I felt like I was in the middle of the story watching it unfold! There was tension, fear, faith, love and a whole lot of trust in each other and the Maker. Andriana and Ronan found a place in my heart and I loved their unique relationship and connection with each other. A wonderful Christian based dystopian tale, Remnants is bound to be a bestseller! Five big stars and I would give it ten if it were possible! I received an ARC of this book via Netgalley. (less)

I became completely intrigued with this book from the small section Dearen has posted on her website. When I got my hands on the book I could not wait to begin reading it! I was not disappointed! I loved Alora and everything about her. She was sweet, kind, unsure of herself and beautiful without being aware of it. Kaevin, Beth, Wesley, Uncle Charles...every character in this book is amazing! I don't think I have ever said that about any book before. I loved how the situations felt real even though we were dealing with fantasy and other realms. There is one point in the book where I think Beth says something like "I have seen things that I don't understand but I have accepted it, so you guys need to accept this!" This was one of my favorite parts of the entire book because it resonated with me. If a teenage girl were in this type of situation she would probably say something like that and then at another point she said, "Get over it!'. It was hilarious while being so realistic to teenagers and their personalities. I am seriously so sad the next book isn't in my hands to read yet, I really want to know what happens next. A YA fantasy with characters you will adore and cheer for, Alora is a book I would recommend to any of my friends! I received an ARC of this book for free. (less)
