I love the subtle romance and wooing that Roger gave Stanley. And all of the peripheral characters made me laugh.

And here's what I'll say, straight up. I LOVE Kristen Ashley! She IS my rock star. But in this series, you could read this book as a stand-alone. I loved Knight, it was book one - the others in the series, are not my favorites, but let me defend my 5 star rating of Deacon. (I know all you review judges out there are thinking I'm leading with my heart and have zero brain because only the best of the best should have 5 Star ratings! Well, Duh!)
Love the strong Kristen Ashley heroine, and Cassie is no exception. She's a great mix on smart, strong-minded and determined to live out her dreams. We get her story up front. Her dream, her plans, what she wanted out of life.
Love the KA's Alphas, but Deacon was a different Alpha, more egalitarian, less caveman. Smart, interesting and intriguing, his back-story unfolds throughout the book just perfectly, with appropriate conflict thrown in. Don't get me wrong, he's still an Alpha, just a different one from and KA hero, I've ever read.
Deacon and Cassie are such a good pairing. It fits, it's lovely and raw and charming and guts wrenching and makes your heart soar. Some of the words they say to each other, took my breath away. Honestly. And when's the last time a book did that?
The bedroom, we have some D/s play-(view spoiler)[ with a little bit of switch thrown in the mix! Surprise, surprise! And it is hot as hell! A man secure enough to allow himself to surrender in the bedroom only to take the reigns back the next time, very hot! (hide spoiler)]. Like I said, egalitarian.
When doesn't she? I love her voice as a author. She makes wonderfully flawed characters. She's just an amazing writer. ShKristen Ashley does it again!

There was so much to love in this conclusion to the Three Series! And you know that we get a healthy dose of Callum & Sonia as well as Lucian & Leah, which make for a kickass, enjoyable read. I got to hang out with old characters I liked, a new hero (Abel) and heroine (Lilah) that I fell in love with. Not to mention, Abel's earthly family, who show love and grace at every turn and a motorcycle club that makes up Lilah's family rounded out the cast of characters.
It was a really fun ride. There was good emotion, hot sex, tons of great conflict and a dash of angst. I love having been around since KA started publishing, because it means I've gotten to witness her growth as a writer and artist. And my how she's grown!
For anyone that hasn't read this series, you are so lucky to have all three to read back to back.
Recommended read! Especially if you love the part in the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy realized she had the power in her all along, to get home. Just click those ruby slippers. ;)...more

Whisper is one of those books where you fall in love with the heroine immediately. Sophie just wraps you around her finger. No man, no house, no job will ever be worthy of her. But she's very humble, sweet and kind.
But leave it to the work of this author's literary debut to sweep me off my feet with Rhys Slate. He's rich, in control, interesting, flawed and delicious.
At first you believe that there's no chance that anything can come from the pairing of this very real, very likable heroine and this playboy, blue-blood, anti-hero. But at some point in the book you begin rooting for them.
Together, they absolutely smolder. There is good conflict and resolution throughout. The sex drips with sensuality. I loved every scene!
I found myself wanting them to make it more than a one night stand. Then wishing for more and more. And the author finds a way to grant each wish you have until the end, which leaves you waiting for book two.
What will happen? Anyone's guess. Looking forward to the rest of this trilogy and more books from Noelle Bodhaine. She has a very unique and enjoyable voice. You can tell she doesn't just write books, she reads them. Well done. ...more

Vee is a great heroine and the ancillary characters have me crossing my fingers for follow up books for them.
I can't wait to see what's next out of the mind of this author. He has a very unique voice. Which is what I have come to value as a reader.

The interesting thing is, the hero in Unstoppable grows leaps and bounds. Writers that stall or decline or maintain status quo bore the hell out of me. Hildreth's intelligence, wit, sexy writing and sense of humor come through in every single chapter!
I have a lot of respect for Scott Hildreth. He fought "the Man" and won. He's persistent and so are his characters. He also writes very strong female characters, and the the ugly truth. But I love the way he constructs the beauty of life.
The story is so enjoyable, sexy, hysterical and unique. It's not a book you've read in any way before.

I am REALLY loving this series! The writing is so biting, so rich, so decadent. Full of emotional intelligence, fiery passion, and closets full of skeletons that weave a great story as we go deeper into the human plot of Dom Wars. Add to that- sext challenges and a limo equipped with a driver than can sing, and you're in for an emotional ride!
Our hero shows such vulnerability and wants so desperately for the heroine to trust him with every part of herself. Lucian's hunger for trust that I felt was a character all it's own in Round Two, is still around, but plays a smaller part. Perhaps, satiated in some ways when it comes to gaining Tara's trust and yet still hyper-vigilant in other ways. Interestingly, the trust that is growing between them is often built due to sex. Which is hot, emotional and always surprising.
It was clear to see that Tara's trust is growing, but incrementally. Lucian drinks up every drop of those moments of Tara's walls being down. He thirsts for true intimacy with Tara. Not to be confused with sexual intimacy, which they have in spades. True intimacy means letting the other person see every part of yourself, all of the parts you think are ugly and unsightly. The parts you hide away. Tara is so afraid to pull those parts of herself into the light of day, so afraid that Lucian will reject what he sees. If Tara could only see that her letting him in would quench every, single need in him. Repair the part of HIM that's broken. He would drink her into his soul and never let go. He would protect her with every fiber of his being. He already does.
Denial is a big theme in this book. Tara's denial that the parts of her past still hurt her. She thinks all of her problems are solved because of therapy. But she clearly hasn't done the homework part of therapy. The living, the making amends. Instead, she's put coat after coat of shellac on all of those cracks and Lucian can't let that be. Lucian wants to build what they have together, from the foundation up, brick by brick. A brand new house for Tara to feel safe in and place for him to love her with everything he has. It's my dearest hope that Lucian isn't living in denial, believing that Tara will give him all of herself, if he can just be the man he needs her to be. Does that man even exist? Hopefully, we'll find out in Round Four. I'm certainly rooting for Lucian and Tara. I can't wait!

Lucian Bane has done it again! I LOVE this series! It's very real and raw and full of emotion. He paints such a beautiful picture. I love the gorgeous, flawed, deeply grooved characters. They are so complex and I know that I've just scratched the surface of knowing them. I want to know more. Have you ever had a worn out recording that you hear something for the first time, when listening to the song for the hundredth time and it surprises you? That's how I feel about the characters in this series. I feel as though I've just gotten to know them and another layer is peeled back, laid bare for me to feast on. The way the author writes women is spectacular! The author's love and respect for women always shines through, so beautifully in his writing.
If this book had a theme, it would be the fleeting nature of trust. It makes you examine it with a fine tooth comb. What is happening here? They're put through such a fast-paced relationship, it's electrifying. It was as if trust was just grasped with both hands, but held too tightly and it squished away, like clay in a fist. But you SO want Tara and Lucian to make the beautiful vase out of that clay.
And I love the prose. Such a unique voice, this author has. Quickly emerging as one of my favorites! Make no mistake, this book is HOT! But the sex is always beautifully, emotionally and purposefully written. It really rocks my world! Lucian is so hungry for Tara's trust, his hunger is like another character in the book. It grows and shifts, vacillating between moments of extreme frustration and sweet satiation. I love the moments of sweetness in the book, it's like a balm for the angst the characters feel and that the reader experiences right along with them. I can't wait for Dom Wars Round Three!

It was as if the author had a limited number of periods and commas that she was allowed to use. I had to backtrack so many times, to figure out where the break was supposed to be! that it took away from some of the enjoyment. The sex scenes are hot, but I'd love more character development. It's entirely the hero's POV, which is a change, too.
“Shit I slipped I hadn’t wanted to say that now with all this uncertainty hanging over our heads, I’d wanted to wait until things had been squared away with her dad I thought she would better appreciate it then oh well the cat was out of the bag now wasn’t it?”

I like the plot of this book. That was fine. The male POV was authentic but the female POV had me scratching my head. As did some of the conclusions the hero jumped to. For instance, he's in his very early 20's and has everything psychologically figured out. One visit to a therapist and problem identified. He also said most older waitresses who worked in diners were in an abusive relationship. Wha???
“More than likely she was the single victim of a relationship that was once like Kace’s. Most of the older waitresses in diners were.”

I LOVED this novella. It was witty and sexy and REAL. Even the reality show seemed a possibility due to the reality crap on TV today. I'd totally watch Dom Wars!
I loved how much Lucian put himself out there. He was a Dom that showed his vulnerability, his care, his kindness. Tara couldn't have a better guide into adult sexuality that Lucian. She hasn't figured out yet that she can dominate every single part of her life, but just let go in the bedroom. Let someone take the reigns and feel that freedom. It doesn't make her less of a woman to be submissive in the bedroom. Subs are, after all the ones who are in control. They're the ones who can say no, or safe word out. I love that in a lot of ways, BDSM is therapy. It involves things people often have trouble with: trust, commitment, control. But what a fun way to work those issues out.
I really felt that Lucian loves, respects and cares for women, just in general. A true Dom is protective to his core and Lucian is a true Dom. But all of those feelings are amplified when it comes to Tara. His soul seeks hers.

The hero, Blaze is a firefighter that's inherited his father's lucrative personal protection company. He also rides a Harley. So I think the author covered every woman's "oooo spot". From when Emme started to accept everything with child like wonder and became this sort of this woman-child. And Jacob (Deck) being the genius he was, I think didn't even see it in the beginning. But then Emme. Poor broken Emme, became his greatest puzzle. This is a serious hero/damsel in distress complex. But KA writes these amazing broken characters. That's not new. So why does this resonate in such a dark place for me? No clue.
I wanted Emme to have inpatient psych treatment. I feel, after reading so many KA books, this may be her darkest. It has stayed with me and not in a good way.
Don't get me wrong. There are parts that are beautiful and wonderful. But parts that were so dark, I felt I needed another book to see it through.

I feel like I have been waiting for this book for so long. Eternal trainee, Sassy Sally, finally gets the Dom that's a perfect fit for her. Well, as it turns out, the perfect Dom is two Doms that like to co-Dom. They've had their eye in Sally for a while. Sally has a reputation at Shadowlands for being a bratty sub and topping from the bottom. Needless to say, with two Doms, there is no topping from the bottom.
Vance and Galen decide to take on the bratty little sub. When they realize that she might be in danger thanks to the goons still kidnapping subs to sell into slavery, they waste no time moving her in with them. The Harvest Association is still at large and the Feds have a hard time focusing on anything else. We also get to see the trio meet and explain their relationship to each of their families.
They are a perfect trio. There's always sexy fun, D/s and more. Very enjoyable! Sinclair is always an easy read. She handles the psychology behind how her characters act with aplomb. I would have liked more sex, there was surprisingly less sex, which surprised me. But still a great read. :)...more
