After that, I was pretty sure I was going to like her :)
Rose is eager to leave the country behind. She's ready to go somewhere new and be seen as someone new. So she decides to move to London to live with godmother and take a job at a local gym. Life in London is pretty good. She easily adjusts to her new job and home. Then, one night she is attacked and is introduced to the supernatural world in a big way. And, I really don't want to say anything else because I don't know how to avoid spoilers.
One of the things I enjoyed most about Crimson Midnight is the characters. I love Rose-she's strong and sassy. I like that being mugged didn't make her weak or fearful, she learned to fight back and is stronger for it. Raven is another awesome character-he's a dominant gay werewolf which is awesome. I like that in Harold (another wolf) the reader is able to see that not all wolves are accepting of his sexual orientation. The other characters are equally awesome Rose and Raven just happen to be my favorites.
I love the parts with the pack! I like the vampires too, they worship the moon which seems kind of fitting for creatures of the night
And that ending?!?! Defo (I learned that from this book) eager for the next book!!(less)

I'm not sure why, I don't like October but I didn't like Mac (from fever). I think I gave it a fair shot but I don't care what happens to Toby or Luna so I'm not going to continue :/
I think the second book in the series is the best. I think Tybalt could be interesting if we saw more of him. I like May, but I think the name May Daye is stupid. Oh, and I like Luindaeg (less)

I don't like Rayla, and for me that made this just an okay read. However, I believe that this book can be enjoyed by fans of YA or those with an interest in faeries. If you enjoyed The Iron King, you may enjoy Five. But back to Rayla...I didn't understand Rayla and Cassie's friendship. The two are supposedly best friends but I don't believe it. Then, I don't understand why a girl who has as much going on in her life as Rayla would possibly think that it was a good time to date. I think that if Five had been more about the four fae lords actively pursuing her, it would have been a more interesting story. Speaking of the fae lords, to me they seemed more annoying than anything. I would have liked those parts to be more intense. Also, when everyone was like, "Why aren't you marked Rayla?" I hated that she was never thought of her scar, it was my first thought! In the end, I decided to give it two stars based on my dislike of Rayla and the fact that there seemed to be a little to much going on. I'm very grateful that I was given the opportunity to review Five, but it just wasn't my cup of tea... (less)

The story begins with Breena waking up with no idea of who she is, where she's from, or how she got there-she only knows that her first name is Breena. Lucky for her, moments after she wakes up, Ciaran walks by and is willing to give her a place to stay and help her try to figure out her origins. And...That's all I'm telling, because I hate spoilers but it's really good! For a short story this has a very well-developed plot, it doesn't feel rushed. I normally hate changing POVs, but in this story I loved it! There is an awesome paranormal element. The ending left me wanting more!! I would have loved Dream Catcher as a full-length novel, I was bummed to see it end. I just saw that its part of a trilogy!! Very excited to see what happens with Breena and Ciaran!!(less)

I did really like that this book started off with McKenzie (view spoiler)[ being kidnapped by the rebels. I thought that was pretty original, I can't think of any other books that start off with you getting to know the bad guys first (hide spoiler)]. I'll definitely read the next book. McKenzie's decided who she wants to be with so hopefully the next book won't have the annoying Kyol vs Aren stuff.
I try not to take sides, but surprisingly I was Team Kyol...yeah 10yrs is a long time to wait but he's a good guy, he was trying to be honorable--maybe I just feel bad for the guy lol["br"]>["br"]>(less)

There is a ton of talk about being a hero in this book. I don't know if it was there to convince us that Toby is a hero but it was annoying. Toby would think, "I'm not a hero" then someone would say to her "Toby, don't be stupid you don't have to be a hero."...Really annoying!! But Luindaeg (I know that spelling is wrong) is kind of awesome in this book. And, we find out that Tybalt has this really cool ability that I'd really like to know more about. I'll be reading book four :)(less)

But there were also some issues: (view spoiler)[1. I NEVER figure out who the "killer" is, I knew by page 80-something and I was right!! October didn't really seem to pick up on the clues! I'm not sure how she is a successful P.I., 2. This book reminded me of Kate Daniels-When she asks a friend to contact Tybalt, she tells her to say "Here Kitty Kitty," her sidekick Quentin reminds me of Derek-this may just be me, 3. Why did it take so long for October to figure out something was up with Alex?! and lastly (and most importantly) 4. October didn't really do anything! After she arrived at ALH people were still dropping off like flies, process of elimination pretty much told her who the killer was, not detective work. The only person she saved/protected was Quentin! (hide spoiler)] Overall, it was a decent installment and I'll read the next one, if only, to determine if I'll continue on with the series.(less)
