I have read three books by this author and I feel that every time she writes she gets better and better. In this story Lilly's great grandmother Sanura is the focal point in this story. We go through this journey of the 1800s and how the lives of women and slaves were. Elijah sends Lilly in the past to see the life of her grandmother Sanura. Sanura and Lilly in my point of view are just alike. Out of the three this one is my favorite. I really did enjoy reading this one a bit more than the others but don't get me wrong, they were all good.
The writing was great. As I said, she gets better with every story. It was a nice quick read and intense at the same time!!!
I..Love..The...Cover! This book cover screams power all over the place. The cover itself alone would have me to pick up the book (Book judging. Don't hold it against me please.)
I can't wait to read more by this author. She is one of those authors that after you have read the previous works, and you find out that there is more coming, you know that they are going to be good.

This is perfect for all the sci-fi fans out their. It had sci-fi, romance, and suspense. Kricket who is the lead character is so strong. I loved her character so much. She didn't let anyone run over her or try to baby her. She has been running from they system for as long as she can. Within a couple of months she will be 18 and she won't have to run anymore. Out of nowhere three men comes to her and tell her that they have been searching for her and are going to take her home where she belongs which is not of this Earth.
This story captivated me from the beginning. It took you right into the story. I loved the world that the author created. The language that was used and how everything was set up. Pefect sci-fi. Trey is the solider that has come to take Kricket "home" and while they are on the mission he sees that she is not like the women that he has known. She is fiesty and stands up for herself. Even though she frustrates him like crazy he would not have it any other way.
Kyon (the bad guy) of course wants Kricket to himself and he is not letting anyone get in his way. Even if he has to kill to get her. He knows what she is capable of and having her by his side would bring him that power.
The action in this story was good and once we finally got the meaning of Krickets name it made sense.

Roxy and Reece got introduced in the previous book (Stay with me) in Calla and Jax story. Roxy works at Jax's bar which is called Monas and she loves it. She is an artist and takes classes at her local community college. She loves her family dearly and is close with them. Ever since she was 15 she has been in love with one guy. Reece. I love Roxie character. I need to raid her closet because I like graphic tees and her the sayings that were on her shirt had me wanting them. She is a very caring and loving person. The situation between her and her bff Charlie broke my heart and I did shed some tears.
Reece is the hot cop guy and he has had his eyes on Roxie for a while himself. He is convinced that she belongs to him and he will do anything to prove it to her and to make her realize that. Their chemistry was great together. He was very protective of her and as the plot unfolds he would do anything for her and vise versa.
The story had romance of course and a line of suspense. I liked that it didn't hover to much on the romance and it held a balance between the two genres.
I can see this series taking off so far because they are really good. I can't wait until book 5 comes out....more
I was really excited to read this story of the Frigid series. I am already a huge fan of this author and I basically love anything that she writes.

In this installment it is about Andrea and Tanner. Of course our other favorite couple makes appearances as well (Kyler and Syd). From what I knew from the first book was that Andrea and Tanner do not get along at all. They constantly bicker and argue with each other and it sometimes makes a strain on their relationship with their two best friends Kyler and Syd.
Wanting to change the atmosphere and have a getaway Kyler and Sydney invite Tanner and Andrea to a week long vacation. At first Andrea and Tanner have their usual bicker and snobby insults but as the story progress the two realize that in actuality they care for each other deeply. They spend more one on one time with each other which is thanks to their best friends. Their whole relationship takes a different turn for the better.
I really like how the author wrote in matters of the subject of drinking and drunk driving. The subject is very heavy and having someone close by to help even if that means getting professional help is whats important.
The story proves that when you are surrounded by people that love you and are there for you in hard times to keep them close. Even when you feel like you are alone you are not.
I loved reading this story and I may have cried a bit too but that's because I am helpless romantic. ...more

This was a great way to end the series and it is bittersweet. I didn’t want this series to end. Every time I turned the page my excitement for the story grew. I did take my time to read it simply because I did not want it to end. I know a lot of us do that. LOL. From the twist, turns, and romance I was captivated by it all. When I finished the book I had to take a minute to gather my life back together LOL. I will miss this journey that Madhuri took me on with this series.
The writing was soo good!!!!! God..this woman can write. It all flowed so good and perfect. It made you have all the types of feels in the right places. The writing kept getting better with each book. The emotional feelings between the characters were on point and your heart went out to them. With The Prophecy being the last book in the series I felt that it ended well. You can't read this series and not have yourself poured into it.
I would have to say that even though I did love all three. I think the first one is my favorite in the series.
My message to the author....Please, Please, Please keep writing!!!!!!! Work like this is why I fell in love with reading.

Brother and sister Jack and Kaya live in Australia. Set by the full moon the siblings go back in time and their journey to get back home is not as easy as it seems. They travel to through a stone portal and end up in different realities of time.
The story was great and the transitions that took place in the story was written very nice. The reading was light and easy. I found myself sometimes losing time because I would get lost in this story. I love a good adventure with a mixture of fantasy and this story brought it. I thought overall the whole plot was a great idea and the way it took off was nicely written. I look forward to reading more works by this author in the future.

Goodreads summary: When unemployed San Francisco reporter Chuck Townsend and his college-dropout son, Justin, take a cruise to Mexico in 2016, each hopes to rebuild a relationship after years of estrangement. But they find more than common ground aboard the ship. They meet a mysterious lecturer who touts the possibilities of time travel. Within days, Chuck and Justin find themselves in 1900, riding a train to Texas, intent on preventing a distant uncle from being hanged for a crime he did not commit. Their quick trip to Galveston, however, becomes long and complicated when they wrangle with business rivals and fall for two beautiful librarians on the eve of a hurricane that will destroy the city. Filled with humor, history, romance, and heartbreak, SEPTEMBER SKY follows two directionless souls on the adventure of a lifetime as they try to make peace with the past, find new purpose, and grapple with the knowledge of things to come.
This is my second book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed reading this one as much as I did the first book that I read. I have not always been a fan of time travel but what I really liked about this is from the beginning of the story it gets your attention all the way to the end. As before, the characters are well developed and the story was written very good. What my favorite thing about this book was his writing. His stories seem so realistic and you will find yourself as a character in the story as well. I applaud authors that do that. That makes the story so much better.
The historical parts were dead on and the research was evident that the author did his job with researching for the story.
I honestly could not put this book down. In between school and work I could not wait to get a break so I can finish. I look forward to reading more books written by this author in the future.
