My expectations were high going in and I am so happy to say Jade and Az exceeded those expectations. Jade is a fantastically flawed heroine. She's made massive mistakes in her life that led to lives lost. Now all she wants is a chance to live her life free of her psycho ex and she's willing to use Az to get that. But from the beginning, she can't fight her attraction to him.
Az has never understood why other Fallens give in to temptations of the flesh until he meets Jade. She awakens feelings he's never experienced and this virgin hero wastes no time in making up for those lost centuries. He's hot, badass, protective, and surprisingly sweet. Both of my favorite quotes are from Az.
"His hands, though lethally strong, were lighter on her flesh.
Gentleness. She's only expected heat and hunger.
"I won't break," Jade told him.
"I'll never let you." A vow.
Az never wanted her to know the truth about him. He wanted her to keep looking at him like he was a hero. Like he was a protector. A man she could count on. A man she wanted.
Not a monster she feared.
This was such a fantastic romance! Suspenseful and over the top with an ending that made me cry, ANGEL IN CHAINS was one of the best paranormal romances I've read this year. I can't recommend it enough! ...more

From the first page, you are thrown into the emotions of our hero, Grant. The love for his wife, the guilt over losing his child, and the determination not to let his marriage end. When Grant follows Julia into an elevator and an earthquake leaves them stuck, he seizes the opportunity to show Julia why they still belong together.
What follows is some seriously hot elevator sex, an emotional battle, and the resurfacing of a memory that had me in tears.
This is the first book I have read by Dee Tenorio and I am so happy I requested to review it. When I read a book, I want to feel what the characters are feeling. Joy, sadness, anger, fear. Even hot and bothered :D Ms. Tenorio more than delivered on that and I am very excited to start exploring her backlist....more

Nicole Peyton is back in New Orleans, her friends are safe, and she is still lusting after recently-turned werewolf Derek Gabriel. When Nicole throws a birthday party for Derek’s cousin, the setting is finally perfect for Nicole and Derek to act on their attraction. Unfortunately, a knock at the door changes things. Nicole’s twin sister Michelle and her bodyguard Aaron have arrived in New Orleans, being chased by the Conclave, after breaking some serious rules. If they are found, Michelle will be taken back and Aaron will be executed.
As Nicole’s friends gather to protect Michelle, they realize that there is no easy solution to the problem and it all comes down to one question. What are you willing to do to keep a loved one safe. Would you kill? Would you die? Would you sacrifice your own happiness? Would you be willing to let someone else make those sacrifices?
When I first heard that book two of this series was coming out, I had mixed emotions. I couldn’t wait to revisit this world but I was also nervous. I loved Crux. It was one of the best books I read last year and it set a bar I wasn’t sure could be topped. Well, Moira Rogers did. The love scenes were hotter, the action more intense, and the emotions….oh my, the emotions. Crux left me teary-eyed, Crossroads made me sob. So if you’re a big softy like me, have your tissues ready. You’ll need them.
I think Crossroads can be read as a stand alone but I wouldn’t recommend it that way. Many of the actions from Crux have consequences that are played out in this book and I don’t think a reader would get the whole impact of it without the backstory. The Southern Arcana series is such a perfect blend of urban fantasy and romance, I can’t imagine any paranormal lover being disappointed in the purchase....more
I can’t say too much about the events in this book without dropping huge spoilers so this review will be short.

I have read many of Ms. Dane’s previous books. I knew that she could bring the heat and emotion and she didn’t skimp on either of those in Second Chances. Rori is a heroine that you can’t help but love. She is warm, confidant, she knows what she wants and what she deserves and refuses to settle for anything less. And the love scenes are melt-the-pages hot.
Second Chances spans a few years and you get to know and love all the characters so much. Which leads me to the one warning I want to give. The most heart-wrenching scene I have ever read is in this book. If you choose to read it (and I hope you do), have tissues ready. And not just a couple. I mean, go to the store and get a brand new box just for this story.
I won this ARC on a twitter contest and I’m absolutely thrilled that I did. And I really hope that we get to see more of these characters in the future. Second Chances is definitely a keeper....more
