Tamika (the main character) falls hard for a no good Quincy in this love story gone wrong. She is the type of woman any good man would want, she has her head on her shoulders, works hard, she's single, honest and a trustworthy friend. Unfortunately more times then often these type of women always get the shitty end of the stick when comes to men.
Quincy has done everything imaginable to break Tamika's heart and she continues to take him back. Can you say "LOVE SICK" At one point I wanted to kick Quincy ass because I had had enough. He seems to be as lost as the rest of them and needs some serious therapy. I won't go into details for the sake of spoilers but let's just say Tamika could've done better.
This was a good story, sometimes the transition from one scene to the next wasn't as smooth but it had the drama and entertainment that will have you wondering what happens next in Bound By Lies the sequel to the book. I can only imagine the drama that ensues in part II.

But let's keep it real there is nothing Happy about the hunger games. I saw this movie before I read the book and I must say the movie does the book no justice. I received the Hunger Games collector's edition in a prize package from BookBuzzr. Even though the movie told me the basics I wanted desperately to read the book. Let's face it the movies take out so much you never know what you miss.
Let me tell you, I love a good love story. Who doesn't? Suzanne Collins brought her A Game with The Hunger Games. The Capitol of Panem holds these annual games every year, where one man and one woman is chosen from each district out of 12 districts to fight to the death and only one survivor can remain. Sounds like a horror story right? That's what I thought. I was prepared to read about combat fighting and lot of blood and gore but this book was totally the opposite. Yes it had it's blood and gore moments but this is a true love story mix in with survival, suffering, hopelessness and everything in between.
I was captivated by the author's words and she brought me into her world. I was Katniss Everdeen in the capitol of Panem and it was going down, my sister had just been chosen to participate in the 74th annual Hunger Games and she is just twelve years old. MY GOD! The type of cruelty this Capitol rains down on their people is the funkiest foulest thing that could ever be imagined in the history of mankind period.
Katniss Goes threw it all, in the Cornucopia once the gong rangs out all of the tributes go for the weapons that are on clear display and of course there is a battle to get to them. Katniss has to fight, kill, eat raw food, pine food, but must be careful because there are poison berrys, traps the Gamemakers have set, the woods are her shelter and only one of them can survive. I almost read this book over again it was so good. Suzanne Collins will have you hopeful, screaming, crying, in love, and rooting for Katniss survival.
And she leaves you with the greatest cliffhanger of all because your left wondering what will happen next. I recommend this book for everyone there's no way you would not love it!

Why oh why ladies do we tend to overlook the wrong things for the good things. That is what Karmen did, she seemed to think almost like a teenager at times like she didn't have a clue. There is no way I would be getting it on with somebody and he burst out and say "My clients are going to love this pussy" and we continue to have sex. No way. Let's see what will happen in part two.

I would recommend this story to everyone I am such a sucker for love and Angel Bearfield definitely had me in love, lust, and feeling aroused all at the same time!

The devil tells you, it's impossible, It can not be done, no imperfect human can live like Christ. Especially not you. To recognize the devils deceitfulness and be able to call him out on it and rebuke him in the name of Jesus and watch him run like the wind is mind blowing. This book gives you complete understanding with the word of God backing up every point he is conveying to the reader. Before you can even get a question or dispute out from the last paragraph you just read, he answers it. As if he already knows the struggles you will be going through as you read the book. I can't do anything but be amazed at how anointed and blessed Rick Warren truly is. The is the best book I've read all year. Even though I was already saved and baptize before reading this book, I was still a little lost because I didn't have any spiritual nourishment except for the Sunday teachings in church and that alone is not enough. After starting this journey I started reading the Bible and it started to make since like it had never before. It gives me the meat and potatoes we all need to make it through life in a Christ like manner. The Bible explains everything you need to know about life, the problems, issues, how to solve them, what to do, what not to do, I mean it truly is Gods how to live manual for humans. If you are having a hard time understand and reading the Bible. If the devil is lying to you like he lies to us all. I would recommend you read The Purpose Driven Life book. The only thing that I was stomped about when it came to this book, was it didnt seem to fulfill's up it's Title. It's called Goddess Of Vengeance, but Lucky never does anything to show her vengeful side. The only thing she really does is get mad, she doesnt actually do anything. I thought she was going to kick some serious butt to show us just how much of a Goddess of Vengeance she is, but she doesn't. It was a great story I would read it again, but the name doesn't fit.
