By far the best in the series. Since I'm team Kade, I enjoyed it a lot. I was so desperate for those moments between them. I didn't have a lot of hope that she could choose him, but after the last 40% of this book, now I think It could be possible. I've always knew that he is the best guy for her, even when she didn't. Blane is a great guy, I like him too, but he's just not the right guy for her.
It amazes me how Tiffany can write a love triangle so well. I mean, she did it in a way that it's nobody's fault and also there was no cheating, betrayals... It was all about the consequences of their own actions. It was nice that Kat only let her guard down between her and Kade after the break up with Blane, after all she was committed to him. That was when she finally let herself feel everything.
Tiffany writes this series in a way that I really never got mad at anyone. Like I said it's nobody's fault. And Kathleen feel so guilt all the time about everything that I can't even blame her. She's not selfish or callous about their fellings, actually on the contrary, she put their hapiness before her own. It's impossible to be mad at her. Especially when we also felt her pain and sometimes it wasn't even her fault, when she hasn't done anything wrong.
So Tiffany, I have to congratulate her, because this isn't something easy to do and she does it so well, so right....more
It wasn’t as good as I though it would be. This is a trilogy, but each book is short, so for now we only had an introduction to this story. So maybe iIt wasn’t as good as I though it would be. This is a trilogy, but each book is short, so for now we only had an introduction to this story. So maybe if I had the entire book in my hands, my opinion would be different, but for just this one… not so much.
First, the female lead character is boring, at least for now. She’s that kind of woman who build her life for the others expectations and not herself. She’s what her parents and her boyfriend expects her to be, and she’s okay with that because she feels safe this way, but she also has another side of her, someone wild, but she doesn’t like to explore this side, she doesn’t feel safe with this side of her. So this first part of the story is about Kasie struggling with herself. Second, this book is told from her pov so we don’t get to know much about Robert. So I don’t know where I stand with him. We know that he’s an intense and wild guy. He’s also a sex alpha male, who knows what he wants. Oh and also I do know that I’m disgusted with that boyfriend of her… Dave. I don’t have words for him. But Robert... like I said we still don’t know a lot about him, but the little we do is enough to make us swoon.
Kasie lives a boring life. Everything is boring, even her 6 years boyfriend. So one weekend she and her friend Simone goes to Vegas and there her friend convinces her to take some risks like wear a sex dress with high heels and sleep with a stranger. She enters the casino and draws the attention of everybody, including Robert Dade. They are attracted to each other, Robert is powerful, sexy, wild and just wants one thing: her! So she decides to sleep with him and the sex is amazing and primal, it explored the side of her she never knew existed.
For Kassie it was just one night, some kind of fantasy she would just left behind, she could go back to her world and be that perfect woman again, the problem is that she can’t stop thinking about that night. But what she didn’t know is that Robert has no intention to let her go, he wants that woman so he goes after her and becomes her new client. So now she’s forced to work with him, after all this the chance she’s hoping to get all this time, he is a billionaire and powerful CEO of a security firm, so it means a lot to her job.
But Kassie doesn’t know what she wants and even who she is. So this first part is just about her trying to deal with all this issues and her guilt over her betrayal. For now there isn’t a lot of romance here, is more about sex, but that is just because Robert and Kassie still doesn’t know each other very well. So they’re not there yet. Oh and there’s a cliffhanger too. I get the feeling the next book is going to be much better. But for now, I’ll give it just 3 stars. ...more
I just gave this book 4 stars because of Jordan, because if not, I would give it 3. That guys is something I can't even describe. But the story per seI just gave this book 4 stars because of Jordan, because if not, I would give it 3. That guys is something I can't even describe. But the story per se... I don't know... it was just kind of silly sometimes. All this Greek system was just too much. I'm not from US, but I can't believe that things like that could actually happen, not with that intensity at least. Like I said, it was just too much. And althouth Maysie had her good moments, she was so ridiculuos sometimes. I really rolled my eyes a lot. But I have to give it to Walters, because she did created an amazing guy. A 5 stars guy....more

I mean, there isn’t so much drama for the sake of drama. They are dealing with real life issues and not silly things thrown in their paths to make it hard to get to together.. And also we have two people with heavy issues but at the same time this wasn’t that kind of book over dramatic that I’ve been reading lately. Maybe that’s because the characters are older and not emo teenagers or maybe not… I don’t really know. I just really enjoyed this story.
And to be honest I wasn’t expecting to like these characters this much. WOW! What was Caden?! He took my breath away sometimes. And Lauren… I don’t know, but she made it so easy to like and relate to her. Although, she obviously has her flaws. like being too stubborn and always in need to be in control of every situation and never letting go easily. She was someone I could admire. But the things is, she has her reasons to be the way she is. Lauren and Caden are both damage, and I still don’t know who had the worst life, it was really awful, but although Lauren has a lot of fears, she doesn’t let them dictate her life, what doesn’t really happen with Caden. She’s more stronger, I think. This was a roller coaster of emotions, that kind of book that both characters are very much attracted to each other but doesn’t want anything serious because of who they are and thinks they can have a relationship based on sex without getting attached to each other and then losing the control of their emotions. We have read books like that right?! I know! I did, but there’s something special about this one. I don’t know if that’s because of the characters, or the way the author wrote this, but the thing is Kolee made me feel everything they were feeling, all that excitement of the first love and all that pain. I was in deep with them, I couldn’t stop reading for a minute, not even to sleep. I have also read “Love Left Behind” and that was another book Kolee wrote that I loved, but I had a few issues with that one, but not this “Fated”. It’s like she really wanted to improve and make this one better. I really love that end.
So, I really recommend this book, it was one of my favorites of 2012. It’s definitely a must read. ...more
Lately I’ve been reading a lot of intense and dramatic books. I was longing for something just as intense but also with a bit of action and mystery. ILately I’ve been reading a lot of intense and dramatic books. I was longing for something just as intense but also with a bit of action and mystery. I missed these kind of books. So when I read the blurb of “A Beautiful Lie” I thought this could be exactly what I was looking for. And oh boy! it was so much more.
Tara Sivec really surprised me. I mean, she previously wrote a series about humor and not so much drama or even action, so I was kind of wondering how she would pull it off. Not that I though she couldn’t do it. It just was a surprise for me to see this other side of her. It felt like I was reading another book’s author. There isn’t any humor here, she really showed us that she can write anything she wants.
“A Beautiful Lie” is told from the third person, which I think in this case was for the best, because there were so many things going on that it gave us the opportunity to follow every step of the way. Also, through the history she gives us some flashbacks about their past, and the switch between Parker and Garrett povs allowed us the opportunity to know them much better.
This is one of those books that surprises you with each turn of the page. It’s full of mysteries and revelations. I was so nervous that I wanted to bite my nails the whole time. For the first part I had a lot of “Pearl Harbor” feelings and then I thought I was in the middle of an action movie or something like “Alias” show. It was fantastic! I had so much fun. Oh and let’s not forget the love story! There’s also a romance that will make you swoon and throw your kindle across the room. It was amazing and frustrating at the same time. Don’t worry! I’m not talking about drama just for the sake of drama, if I were on their shoes, probably I would be struggling with the same issues, it was something complicated . “A Beautiful Lie” is a story that nothing is really like it seems, there is a lot going on here. Lots of twists and turns. Oh and those characters are amazing too. Garret and Parker are the perfect hero and heroine. But Parker is not the damsel in distress waiting for the hero to save her, although Garret being the Navy SEAL alpha male that he is) is exactly the kind of hero that wants to save and protect the woman he loves. At the same time there is so much more about these two that I can’t even begging to tell you, I’m afraid to spoil you by telling you something that I shouldn’t, after all, this is a story about lots and lots of mysteries. So that’s why I’m going to stop here. I’m just going to add that this must read, if you enjoy this kind of book or even want to try something new, I would definitely recommend this one to you. It a great way to start my year. 5 stars for sure....more
Okay finally we got the conclusion of this story and Caleb's pov. And let me tell you it doesn't disappoint at all. I'm not sure what I was expectingOkay finally we got the conclusion of this story and Caleb's pov. And let me tell you it doesn't disappoint at all. I'm not sure what I was expecting to get, after everything we went through with these two for such a long time… but I enjoyed every step of the way. It was a very good end.
Well when I got to the end of "The Opportunist" I wanted to kill Caleb so badly. I was so disappointed with him and frustrated with the whole situation. I was right there with Olivia, feeling so broken inside... And I just couldn't understand what was going through his head to do that shit. So, now that I got to read his point of view I can understand him better, his motivations and also feel his incredible amount of pain. We can see that for all his life, he worked really hard to get Olivia, since the first time he saw her. And actually he did a lot of crazy things for her too… it wasn’t just her a little bit psycho. I’m saying this because that’s the the impression I got from her when I read Olivia’s pov. It was a bit overwhelming. So now, it’s really good to know that she wasn’t alone.
I can tell you that this series is one of the most realistic stories I have ever read. Taryn made us realize that sometimes we're our own worst enemy with the choices we make. And in this case there's no such a thing as the good or the bad girl... you just make mistakes in life and it's your choice to learn from them and try to be better person. I felt this inspiring, because I think everybody at some point could relate to these characters. They're not perfect at all! They're full of flaws, do a lot of stupid things, messes up all the time and make the worst choices ever! But that is just the thing! This is the real life! And Taryn proved me this again when I got to the end of this book. For a second I really thought that she would be boring and give us that HEA that everybody was expecting to see since the first book! But stupid me! Of course she wouldn't do it. That's just not Taryn's style. Oh! Don’t get me wrong after all this hell we all have been through she did gave us a HEA, a very good one actually… just not the obvious! Then again, was she ever?! Just let me tell you, that's why I love her! Because there's no such a thing as HEA in real life! And she keeps reminding us about this all the time. Taryn really did a fiction story fells real. She’s such a good author. She blew my mind and made me feel all kinds of emotions with this story. I’ll be following her work for sure… I‘m definitely a huge fan and I really really hope she get to publish this work because it’s so good! Everybody should read this one. ...more
Okay, if you haven’t read this book yet, go buy it now, because you’ll not regret this, at least for me this was one of the best books of the year. DoOkay, if you haven’t read this book yet, go buy it now, because you’ll not regret this, at least for me this was one of the best books of the year. Do you know when you read a book and you feel like it taught you a lot of things? This wasn’t just about love, it was about life in general, enjoying it to the fullest as if there is no tomorrow, learning about yourself, experiences, friendship, faith, hope, forgiveness.
The Edge of Never was a powerful, beautiful and an emotional roller coaster journey with lots of good and sad moments. Yeah there is a lot of drama and angst here, prepare yourself for lots and lots of tears. You’ll be mesmerized for these characters, they were so broken but at the same time so full of life. Andrew was one of the best male characters I’ve ever read, and I don’t know if that’s because of his free soul and sweetness or if it’s because we are so alike. But he really gave me a lot to think about and I felt a very strong connection with him. And Camrym was like a caged bird who just wanted to spread her wings and fly. They never wanted an ordinary life; just do whatever they wanted to do.
I was drawn to them, like I was experiencing everything for the first time with them. And it felt so good. Of course that at the same time I was scared because I knew at some point something really bad was going to happen and I wasn’t ready at all. You don’t know what will happen, but the author gives you tips about what is it… and let me tell you, that’s why I was scared shitless. The whole story was phenomenal, but the end just blew my mind. The epilogue was amazing, that’s when I took a deep breath and smiled like a fool.
I highly recommend this book to all ages, because it doesn’t really matter your age, this book will still teach you a lot. So do yourself a favor and go buy this book now! ...more
