Set in an underground world of the fae, this intense story of politics, betrayal, and love is sure to become another amazing series. The author builds these great worlds that are so like our own and yet... not. Then she populates these worlds with some of the most interesting characters and creatures you'll ever meet.

I wasn't sure I was going to like Cameron at the beginning but by the end he'd more than won me over. An amazingly creative assortment of friends and characters populate the entirety of the novel. Definitely not a story you're going to forget anytime soon. (less)

In true Tad Williams fashion, it takes a bit to get going, but once it does, hold on tight. :)(less)

The second installment of the SHADOWMARCH series really picks up the action and moves the story forward greatly. However, knowing that I'm only halfway through this series, I'm sure we've only seen the tip of the iceberg. Lots of questions have been answered, and many more have been raised. Great series so far, but not for the faint of heart by any stretch of the imagination.(less)

The combination of the author's lyrical prose and the fascinating characters will hold you until the very end.
I also do love the setting of this book - it's recent history (early 1900's, if I'm guessing right) with just enough fantasy elements added that you really don't recognize the world they're living in. (less)

I'm really not sure what to say about this final volume in the Shadowmarch series. Wonderful, intricate, exciting, and satisfying. The ending was two parts unexpected and one part very expected, but that's okay. This series has held so many surprises that an expected thing or two is okay with me. :)(less)

So much to absorb in such a short amount of time. I adore stories about the fey and this, while a much more modern rendition, still holds true to the classics I grew up reading. I do have to admit though, that my favorite character was Grimalkin, the cait sith. But then, he reminded me so much of my own actual cat that I was helpless. (less)

*takes a deep breath*
Okay, so I've been waiting for this sequel since the moment I finished The Goddess Test. I have to say I was not disappointed by any means. While Henry is extremely withdrawn and miserable during this installment, and makes Kate miserable in the process, the way that Kate reacts - and rebells! - is a fine thing to watch. And the end? Yeah. Just amazing. So glad that I have The Goddess Hunt to read now!(less)

There are things that could have been handled a bit better, but overall a very action-packed and enjoyable story for teens and adults alike. (less)

I found it fascinating to see the journey Allanon went on to find Shea and begin the story that would span so many years. (less)

Just when Rebecca Williams thinks things can’t possibly get any worse, her entire world is turned upside down. In the instant that it takes to keep a young child from being run down in the streets, she seals her fate.
I really liked Rebecca. She had spunk but also a great sense of responsibility to her charge, Ashley. She did her best to be involved in everything, to know what was going on, and to do what was best for Ashley at all costs.
Sorceress’ Blood was an action packed roller coaster ride, leaving you wondering exactly who the good guys were. The author really kept me guessing, that’s for sure. One minute you think they’re safe and then the next, something has come undone. The story was interesting and engaging, leaving you wanting more. Just what is in store for Rebecca and Ashley next? I really do hope we get more in this story line soon.
