I will say this, though. There were a couple of times that it felt like the author started a scene then forgot what it was and started writing something else. Kind of like starting a scene and then changing one little detail and it felt like the scene was taking place somewhere else entirely. Or writing about one character and putting a different name for the character. Maybe it was just some minor editing mistakes but it was still a little disconcerting to read.
I'm not complaining about the story because I did like it. I'm not complaining about the writing because this was my first time reading this author. I'm simply stating my opinion.
Having stated all of this I will say this: I liked the story of a fire dragon and an ice dragon falling in love even though their clans had an ongoing feud. It kind of reminded me of Romeo & Juliet . . . only with, you know, Dragons. =)...more

I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but I did with this one and, boy, am I glad I did. The cover and title plus the fact the title labels the book as a Bad Boy Romance? I just had to read this. Hopefully, there aren't too many spoilers ahead. :)
Abby is the epitome of a Daddy's Girl but she's finally had enough one night when her parents drag her to some boring dinner and won't let her leave early to meet her best friend as she had originally planned. She storms out and gets lost on her way to the museum and two guys attack her in the park. That's when she meets Dane.
Dane spent five years in Leavenworth after being royally screwed by the government and was just released three months ago. During the day, he tries to get a job but all he receives is one rejection after another. At night, he walks off the anger and disappointment of the day. On a particularly disappointing day, he just received his two hundredth job rejection, Dane was walking in the park when he saw a girl being attacked by two guys and even though he knew he could get into trouble he just had to intervene.
That's the start of Abby & Dane's love story and oh, wow, is it a great one. With plenty of twists and turns in the plot (with a couple I did not see coming) and a very sweet HEA ending. Even though this is a standalone novel I'm hoping the author will give us a little peek at Abby & Dane by writing Shawnie's (Abby's best friend) story....more

Marissa is scared of bikers because of her ex and she climbs on the back of a bike with some strange biker just because she's running from said ex? Really?! Apparently someone gave this girl a great big dose of Too Stupid To Live pills instead of the Self Preservation pills she really needs. Not only does she go off with Killer but she lets him get away with treating her like garbage and a skank throughout the book. Then she agrees to marry Killer (that's the only name you know him by throughout the story) right before he shares her with three other bikers. Really??!!
Other than that I did enjoy the story, which was a quick read. I liked getting another peek at Rip & Raven because I just loved their story - Hot Ride. Although, I was surprised with Raven being cool about Rip banging his ex Marissa right in front of her. I guess Raven is really secure in Rip's love for her.
Bummer alert: There's no Steele in this one. He's only mentioned in the beginning. Sadness!
I will definitely read the next books in the Ready to Ride series (which I already have) Riding Steele & Hard Ride because I just can't get enough of hot badass bikers! :)...more

Overall, this was a quick fun read and (I think) a pretty great start to a new series. I've already pre-ordered my copy of the next book in the series (Yours Truly) on Amazon.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more
