Different, in a way that its contents are far more intriguing especially with characters that are pretty mysterious. Readers will definitely be on the edge of their seat! I couldn't recommend this book enough. It's simple and concise narrative of the protagonist is so engaging, it has to be read without any hesitation.
The situations are well-thought out and was handled very logically. I was literally holding my breath every time I felt that there's some huge twist or something going to be. It has been like that for me while reading the book and how it has keep me so interested.
The characters are likeable and realistic. Sadie Peters is smart about making her own choices and she takes responsibilities of those choices. For one, the friendship she embrace so much with Lily. Unfortunately she has to stay away from Lily because of how inappropriate she acts and her being reckless. Sadie has a mind of her own and will not be influenced easily. I like that from her.
The plot is all organized and intelligible for me to follow. There are sweet moments and tears shed while reading this book. Readers will be surprise especially towards the end. It's an unforgettable read.

Cover Him With Darkness depicts the life of Milja Petak and the sacrifices she has made to protect the fallen angel that her father warned her about. She has been aware of the fallen angel's presence at an early age. Her father is a religious man and expects her to be as well and guided her away from harm.
As the rest of the story unfolds to readers, it's perfectly clear and predictable enough that Milja would help the fallen angel escape as she has gravitated towards him, a connection and sympathize with him. Those agonizing days for the fallen angel held captive, did she realize that she cares enough for him. To begin with, that was the main story or else it wouldn't have made any sense in the story at all if she didn't have done it. In an instant, it became dull and not enjoyable to read.
The writing is fairly satisfactory that I was able to finish reading the book, though it took such effort to do so. To be honest, I can say that Cover Him With Darkness has a potential. The main characters and plot are my concern. I admit that I would've enjoyed the idea of fallen angel-human relationship but I couldn't figure out this one. All I've known about the fallen angel was basically he has bad temper and the consequences that awaits him. Add to that, I can't help it but his impression on me the entire time is he only intends to deceive Milja. On the other hand, Milja is a character who takes pleasure in every chance she gets. It's pretty complacent and thoughtless of her, in my opinion. She's easily influenced. She couldn't care less who she's getting involved with.
Ultimately, the flat characters made it really mind-numbing plot. They didn't fully engage me as they stay the same throughout. It's a struggle to find the book a pleasant read. My thoughts wander as the book wasn't that interesting at some point. Overall, the book is not a feel-good read for me.

Now in 2015, it's the first book I finished reading. It has been a wild ride of emotions.
Whether you've had a boring day, exhausted of doing daily routines, this book will turn your mood to an exciting and lively one! You'll be intrigued by the plot and what will come next! Reading the book is like waking up on the right side of the bed and knowing that the book is there to make your day.
I cannot stop reading, analyzing Bishop Lattimer. As for Ivy, I found her spontaneous, really caring and has her life figured out even if she hasn't really thought about it yet. I believe she's a well-rounded character and hopefully in the next sequel, she'll bounce back and become true to herself and better than ever! I have her back. I cannot wait for what's in store for those everyone who are also eager to read the sequel!
Honestly, I'm just so grateful that this book exist and that there's another book boyfriend to be taken by the fangirls!

I would like to give special thanks to Cleis Press and Tempted Romance for the opportunity to read and review Hot Highlanders & Wild Warriors! Not forgetting, Ms Sara for the sweet surprise of contacting me about the book and blog tour! Thank you!
I literally read the book the moment I received it from the mail. Without hesitation, Hot Highlanders & Wild Warriors has captivated me with its explicit hot mess short stories. Some of the short stories I found were quite gibberish though and didn't really enjoyed it. Nevertheless, I've learned through the pages while reading, men during that time, might as well have the most pleasant soft and gentle sounding voices. Besides having badass bodies, they are able to show how much they care. Although, well-guarded in battle or love, they are capable of also having their soft side for someone special.
"My pleasure is in giving you pleasure." "I'd rather bring you pleasure a thousand time than myself once."
One of the stories I've enjoyed is 'My Loveliest Vision'. It was then that I realized that anyone and everyone can love anyone whom they desire. Even if it means the person is going through hardships or is physically challenged, the hope of receiving abundant love from someone is not impossible. Steadfast love, that's what is called. "I've learned 'plain' in one man's eyes can be heavenly in another's. That a warm smile can be more enticing than the most blatant invitation, and a willowy figure ca arouse in me the incessant need to touch, to taste, to take in away no buxom wench ever has." The quote itself was overwhelming for me. I'm fully aware that it's not meant for me but I can't help but be reminded of my low self-esteem. It made me believe again that I'm perfectly made the away I am and that eventually someone will get the better view to actually notice me.
Hot Highlanders & Wild Warriors reveals me the many capabilities of breathtaking men of the past and made me appreciate their burning passion that granted them their sexy victories.

All thanks to the author and Once Upon A Crush Book Blog for providing review copy for me to read and review 'The Art of Love'!
The Art of Love is an inspiring, fast-paced read which tells readers the story of Chelsea Matthews and her passion for art particularly jewelry and metalsmithing. Both Chelsea Matthews and Hayden Shaw's point of view is written in third person narrative. Hayden Shaw, on the other hand, has a goal and passion of his own in photorealism. I may not be someone as creative as the characters towards art, but I feel that the book was able to connect to me.
Believe me when I say, I have literally read the book in one sitting. I enjoyed its clear, concise writing, and a true roller coaster ride of emotions! I have to say the first time Chelsea meets Hayden is truly adorable and funny. It wasn't a smooth sailing relationship. They have different opinions on art and how they view it. There are circumstances where Chelsea has to trust Hayden. The ending is the one that surprised me and thought that was quite over the top. I like the happy ending but, you know it is something I wasn't really a fan of. I felt that it was rushed.
Realizing towards the end, I couldn't clearly get a whole picture of who Hayden is. I didn't get to know his background that much, although it was mentioned one way or another. He rarely shares anything. I secretly wish there's more to him, but as I continue to read, there wasn't anything intriguing that will come. Disappointing.
I want to highlight Chelsea's Dad. Chelsea describes her dad a not supportive dad and doesn't approve of her being an artist. My only view on this was, I understand where her dad was coming from. He was worried about where would the money go to, especially when the possibility of it going somewhere useful or just a huge waste is endless. After all, he just wants the best for her and her well-being. For me, it makes perfect sense of why he is hesitant giving her the trust funds. Not completely forgetting, he is a business man.
Despite its shortcoming, I like the independent and brave Chealsea Matthews and her determination to continue living the dream even when no one sees it the way she does. She chose a different path for herself and along the way, leads her to success as an artist and most importantly, the outlook on life awaits her real love that reveals all things.
