I devoured the first chapter like I was starving for a good read. I quickly ordered the book once it was out.
Just like the first chapter, I devoured the rest of the book. I read it in one day! I loved it! Angsty books are my weakness and this one did not disappoint. This is my first book from Holly Renee. It won't be the last. I was instantly hooked from the beginning up to the last page. I had to admit, I was a bit disappointed that it ended so quickly. I needed more and I wanted more. I want more Liv and Parker and I want to see their future together. I know that there were mixed reviews about this book, and I understand when others say that Parker isn't worth it. In a way, yes, maybe, but I love Parker despite his shortcomings. I felt how much he loves Livy though he failed to show it and own it during those times when he had the opportunity. Livy, on the otherhand, chose to run away when she shouldn't. She could have found out the truth if only she let Parker explained. They both had shortcomings but, aren't we all? Love is complicated and it doesn't always come easy to everyone. Because if we are all smart and if loving is easy, then we all have our fairytales by now and there'll be no broken hearts in the world. So yeah, love make us weak sometimes, they blind us, they even make us stupid. We make wrong choices along the way and somehow mess up things. These things usually make up a good story though, and this book is no exception.
However, I was a bit surprised with the ending. It felt abrupt that I got confused when I saw The End. There should be more! Not fair to end it like that! Nevertheless, there were plenty of good things that I enjoyed and the ending was a just a tiny issue for me since now I know that there'll be a sequel. It was a fast read, it kept me entertained, and it gave me good kinds of feelings so it's oh so worth my time.
5 Stars! Absolutely recommended to all romance lovers out there!...more
I want to say tons of things about this book because there are tons of things about this book that made me feel all tons of emotions in a short periodI want to say tons of things about this book because there are tons of things about this book that made me feel all tons of emotions in a short period of time. It pains me when I think about Fallen Crest's last book because I don't think I will ever be ready to say goodbye. Fallen Crest Series has been one of the top favorites of mine! I love the Kades too much I don't think I can ever let go. I love this series for so many reasons and sometimes I question myself for loving this book too much. Too much that sometimes I think it's unhealthy. FC is the most angsty book I ever read. I get chills every time I read any of the book in this series. No other book gave me chills like that--from page 1 up to the end, I was never at ease. Reading this book was like waiting for a bomb to explode. It didn't disappoint. Once again, Tijan proved how well she can manipulate her stories to something that will make her readers afraid and excited all at the same time. She can give you the fear and dread and then she'll make you feel it's all worth it in the end. That's one of the things I love about this series and one thing I admire about Tijan. She hasn't let me down yet. The characters and their bonds, they are like no other. Tight. Real. Haven't seen anything like it even in all the books I already came across with. And the ending. I kind of figured out that she'll end it like that, but still, I was open-mouthed. I should've expected it... but WOW! 10 awesome stars!!! Give me the next book asap!
Haven't started the book yet?
Fallen Crest will soon come to an end. Just one more book! If you haven't started this series, I suggest that you start it as soon as you have time. I totally enjoyed this and I highly recommend the books especially if you're a fan of angsty, sexy, heart-thumping books that are hard to put down. If you love badass characters and stories that are challenging to read--dysfunctional, dark, maybe twisted, sexy and full of angsts, this book will surely satisfy your cravings. Fallen Crest is YA/NA Contemporary Romance that revolves around the life of Samantha Strattan whose life was suddenly turned upside down when her mother decided to leave her father for another man. This man whom her mother fell in love with has two sons, Mason and Logan Kade, who hated her and whom she hated but eventually grown to love. Their bond is unbelievably strong and it never seize to amaze me how tight their relationships are. "You attack one. You attack all. That was our motto."
You'll also meet other badass characters--some were friends but the majority were enemies, you can't be sure who to trust or who to watch out for. It is a roller coaster kind of feeling and you'll surely enjoy every minute of it.
Here is the list of books in the series:

Fallen Crest have plenty of things that are opposite to what I believe in. The characters that I've grown to love and care about are the opposite of the kind of friends I have in my life. They did things that in normal life I wouldn't even dare to do. When I first started reading Fallen Crest High, I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. Sometimes I wonder what is it that really made me enjoy this series.
Francois Muriac once said, "If you would tell me the heart of a man, tell me not what he reads but what he rereads." I have plenty of favorite books but I don't reread them all. I only have a couple of titles that I enjoy rereading and Fallen Crest is one of these. Now, I don't know what that says about my character or my "heart" because I don't really wanna know. I'm pretty sure I couldn't read this book without recoiling IF I were still in my High School years. Fallen Crest isn't the sweet, romantic, cheesy kind of book that I used to read and enjoy back then. It was far from that kind of book actually. It is dark. It is dysfunctional. It is wild. Fallen Crest High is the first book that I read that made me question myself about things. It may be funny but it's the truth. And as I continue to love this series, I began to open myself up to other kinds of books that I don't usually read and aren't actually in my comfort zone. I continue learning. I began to realize that when you read books, maybe they don't really change you but they show you who you are. They open your eyes by making you question yourself, what you believe in, what you stand up for in life. They reveal something that existed on you. Whatever it is that made me fall in love with these books, I am thankful for it. The series may come to its end but its influence won't. If there is one thing I will treasure most about this series is the sense of family, loyalty, and friendship. What they say is true. Family isn't all about blood. They are the ones who were there with you at your lowest, the times when you had no one else. And when someone else betray you, they are the ones who got your back. They will always come for you no matter what....more

I bought this book because of the blurb. I thpught it's going to be angsty and romantic, maybe a little heartbreaking and uplifting in the end... but nope. The beginning was good until I reached about half of the book and the story turned into Mission Impossible or something. It was full of action though and I think I could have appreciated it if only I wanted a suspense read and not angsty and romantic story. This could have been great if I knew beforehand that this is a suspense/action/romance kind of book. I still enjoyed it and it was good. Just didn't expect the sudden turn of events and I wasn't satisfied with Kat and Dane's relationship. It felt like something is missing. Good story though....more
I expect that you already read Finding Kyler by now, if not, I suggest you read it first before diving into this one. This is the second book in The KI expect that you already read Finding Kyler by now, if not, I suggest you read it first before diving into this one. This is the second book in The Kennedy Boys series. Finding Kyler left us a huge cliffhanger ending and Losing Kyler picked up exactly where Finding Kyler left off.
I don’t have any negative opinion about this book because I enjoyed it so much and it felt like I didn’t even waited for this sequel at all. As I’ve said, Losing Kyler immediately picked up where the first book ended and the emotional connection was instant. I remembered how I loved the first book! I couldn’t even choose which one I liked better because they were equally satisfying, both are equally addicting.
When Faye moved in with the Kennedys, she was quickly thrown into the family drama. The word “dysfunctional” is an understatement when it comes to this family. The Kennedy seems to be living in full, fat lies and after the revelations in this book, there's no doubt that things will be more interesting in the next installment.
Faye is a strong girl and I liked her for being badass. She didn't only fight her demons but she also do everything to protect the people she love. If only loving someone is easy. If only loving Kyler isn't forbidden.
What I enjoyed mostly about this book is its ability to turn the story into something you didn't expect. There were lots of twists and bombs along the way. There were plenty of complications, unforgivingly thrown, one after another. It was like the family is cursed and happily ever after isn't a possibility. Just when you think you'd figured out something, you'll be given another secret to unfold, another twist in the already twisted lives of the characters. The angst we loved in the first book is still there. The thrill of waiting and finding out whether your favorite characters will have a happy story or not was both exciting and agitating. There was no boring part for me and I think that was another reason why other readers loved this book too. It was sexy, angsty, twisted and sometimes overwhelming. There were a lot of things that happened in this one sequel alone and I bet there's more coming in the next one.
Then there was Brad. Maybe seven good looking Kennedy brothers wasn't enough so Siobhan added Brad into the limelight. I have to admit that giving Brad a lot of exposure made this book even more exciting to read. It was nice to have a decent guy thrown into the picture and knowing Brad will make you love his character. He's a gentleman. The one that is easily taken for granted. You'll love him.
Just like Finding Kyler, the ending of this book was another huge cliffhanger! I survived but Keeping Kyler couldn't get here fast enough and I badly need the happily ever after!
If you loved The Royals and Fallen Crest and looking for another dose of family drama with hot dudes and badass female heroine, try this series and keep up with The Kennedys!...more

The first half was good and it was really fun to read! At times it was hilarious and I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed it and I thought it was going to be a 5 star read for me until I reached about 60 or 70 percent of the book and I was frustrated and annoyed with how the story turned out. I felt like I was reading something out of a Fifty Shades book and I kinda skipped and scanned some parts. I just wanted to finish the book so I can move on to the next one, and yet I still wanted to know how the book ended. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I was just a bit disappointed because I loved the first half. I loved the characters and they were so fun to read. I found myself not wanting to put down the book because I was enjoying it. The last couple of chapters were the one to ruin it. Well, Maybe not exactly ruined, but the last couple of chapters were frustrating and I was irritated with Annie. On the otherhand, Ronan is a darling. He is so charming and I really liked him.
Don't let me stop you in reading this book, because maybe it's really just me. I enjoyed it and I appreciate the ending. It was fun to read and eventhough I had issues with some of the scenes, I can say that this book is worth a try. It was good and I enjoyed it....more

Definitely a favorite of mine and my top 2017 read so far. So many emotions all at once. How it managed to make me feel everything I wanted to feel from a book was astonishing. It was heartbreaking, heart-pounding, sad and emotional, yet beautiful, fascinating, romantic and magical. It felt raw and real and the words go deep into your heart that you won't have a choice but to endure the pain of the characters as you remember your own. For me, it was a thrilling and heartfelt journey where fear, pain, hope and love were my companions. This book was astounding! I am in-love with this book!
If you have a heart, read it. If you think you don't have one, then read it. If you like romantic story, read this book. If you don't believe in love, please read this book. If you want to feel something or anything, please read this book! I can't recommend it enough. I think this book has something for every one of us. It will make your heart break into a thousand pieces and then it will mend your heart with a permanent ache and I don't think you'll be the same again. It was inspiring, uplifting, and it will move you. We may not like the same book, but in this case, I'm 99 percent sure that you won't get disappointed.
If you would ask me where my heart is right now, I would say it's in Africa with Jack and Rodel and with the other beautiful souls I met along the roads of Africa.
Beautiful. I am astounded.

This is my first book by Siobhan Davis and I was thrilled that I got the chance to read it. I was hesitant at first but I'm glad I said yes for the review!
Dysfunctional families, high school drama, uber rich male characters that are top to toe gorgeous and absolute swoon-worthy plus badass female lead who is stubborn and feisty but kind and never backs down. I know you want this story and you wouldn't want to not meet Kyler and the rest of the Kennedys!
Angsty, achingly sexy, and heartbreakingly twisted. The writing is beautiful, I was hooked from the beginning! Maybe I am a part twisted for loving this book, but I think it shows reality and that it is not impossible to happen in real life. You don't choose who you fall for even if you know it's forbidden. I felt sad and heartbroken for these seven guys who needed a good role model in their lives. All of them were looking for attention and love that it made them do stupid things. These guys are all messed up in different ways and you would want to save them. I'm a fan of books that have strong characters especially when it comes to lead roles and the way the story is being told is a big deal for me as well. I am a sucker for beautiful writings and badass heroines. Lucky for me, this book did not disappoint. Faye is a strong main character that I immediately liked. She's witty and sassy, other than being hot and stunning. Kyler is a bad boy with a good heart underneath. You'll gonna love him. There are times that you will want to smack him in the face, other times you will want to comfort him. Faye and Kyler made the mistake of falling in love and now, as if being cousins isn't hell enough for the two of them, their world turned upside down again in the end. Eventhough I kinda want to hate the author for the cliffy ending she threw at my face, I enjoyed the book as a whole.
Finding Kyler is one titillating ride--from the start to the peak and down to the torturous, cliffhanger ending. I couldn't put it down! I loved this book and it's killing me knowing I have to wait for the next book. To me who is an ultimate fan of Tijan's Fallen Crest Series, it was hard not to compare them. I dove into the book knowing that it was being compared to FC and yes, I've seen the resemblance, BUT it's NOT a copy of the series. It's more like The Royals by Erin Watts to me and I really liked that series as well. It is actually a mix of both but with a more serious issue thrown in the mixture. I am not a fan of taboo related books, but having read Finding Kyler made me feel like I am a bit twisted myself because I enjoyed the book as much as I hate to admit it. Yes, it's taboo. Incest. Yet I feel like there is something more to the story than what the author let me believe. A twist of fate isn't impossible in a world full of lies and betrayals, high school and dysfunctional family drama. All throughout the book, I didn't feel comfortable and I don't think you should be comfortable! Things are wrong that even modern society won't approve. Comfort zone? Forget about your comfort zone when you read this book.
Writing a story like Finding Kyler must take guts because writing a book with taboo repelled most readers and they are usually subjected to bad criticism. But I think the author writes without hesitation or fear of being judged at all. It felt to me like she wrote what was necessary for the story to make the readers feel the excitement and the heartbreak at the same time. With a big cliffhanger ending, Dear Author has lots of explaining to do. I can't wait to see how she will turn the wheels of the story. I can't wait to see how she will make everything right for these beautifully broken characters. They need to be saved and I'm agonizing over about how their story will end.
