This is my first book by Siobhan Davis and I was thrilled that I got the chance to read it. I was hesitant at first but I'm glad I said yes for the review!
Dysfunctional families, high school drama, uber rich male characters that are top to toe gorgeous and absolute swoon-worthy plus badass female lead who is stubborn and feisty but kind and never backs down. I know you want this story and you wouldn't want to not meet Kyler and the rest of the Kennedys!
Angsty, achingly sexy, and heartbreakingly twisted. The writing is beautiful, I was hooked from the beginning! Maybe I am a part twisted for loving this book, but I think it shows reality and that it is not impossible to happen in real life. You don't choose who you fall for even if you know it's forbidden. I felt sad and heartbroken for these seven guys who needed a good role model in their lives. All of them were looking for attention and love that it made them do stupid things. These guys are all messed up in different ways and you would want to save them. I'm a fan of books that have strong characters especially when it comes to lead roles and the way the story is being told is a big deal for me as well. I am a sucker for beautiful writings and badass heroines. Lucky for me, this book did not disappoint. Faye is a strong main character that I immediately liked. She's witty and sassy, other than being hot and stunning. Kyler is a bad boy with a good heart underneath. You'll gonna love him. There are times that you will want to smack him in the face, other times you will want to comfort him. Faye and Kyler made the mistake of falling in love and now, as if being cousins isn't hell enough for the two of them, their world turned upside down again in the end. Eventhough I kinda want to hate the author for the cliffy ending she threw at my face, I enjoyed the book as a whole.
Finding Kyler is one titillating ride--from the start to the peak and down to the torturous, cliffhanger ending. I couldn't put it down! I loved this book and it's killing me knowing I have to wait for the next book. To me who is an ultimate fan of Tijan's Fallen Crest Series, it was hard not to compare them. I dove into the book knowing that it was being compared to FC and yes, I've seen the resemblance, BUT it's NOT a copy of the series. It's more like The Royals by Erin Watts to me and I really liked that series as well. It is actually a mix of both but with a more serious issue thrown in the mixture. I am not a fan of taboo related books, but having read Finding Kyler made me feel like I am a bit twisted myself because I enjoyed the book as much as I hate to admit it. Yes, it's taboo. Incest. Yet I feel like there is something more to the story than what the author let me believe. A twist of fate isn't impossible in a world full of lies and betrayals, high school and dysfunctional family drama. All throughout the book, I didn't feel comfortable and I don't think you should be comfortable! Things are wrong that even modern society won't approve. Comfort zone? Forget about your comfort zone when you read this book.
Writing a story like Finding Kyler must take guts because writing a book with taboo repelled most readers and they are usually subjected to bad criticism. But I think the author writes without hesitation or fear of being judged at all. It felt to me like she wrote what was necessary for the story to make the readers feel the excitement and the heartbreak at the same time. With a big cliffhanger ending, Dear Author has lots of explaining to do. I can't wait to see how she will turn the wheels of the story. I can't wait to see how she will make everything right for these beautifully broken characters. They need to be saved and I'm agonizing over about how their story will end.

I felt different emotions--angst, hate, sadness, hope, betrayal, and the feeling when you think about the could-have-beens. I actually loved it eventhough there were times when I find myself looking for something more from Liam. Other than that, I loved everything else. It was unputdownable and I wish I read it sooner! I highly recommend this book and I will definitely read the rest of the series....more

This boThe moment I read the summary of J.C. and the Bijoux Jolis, I knew it was going to be different. A good kind of different. I was not mistaken.
This book is my favorite among all the Rousseau books. Why? Because it is mixed with Historical Fiction and a bit of mystery. This made it more interesting and as I said, different. J.C. and the Bijoux Jolis was romantic... classic and it was elegantly delivered. The writing was smooth and beautiful just like Katy's other books. I think I can already recognize her books even if she don't put her name on them.
I instantly loved her characters and since I enjoy witty banters, this book did not disappoint. J.C. is a character to be loved. He stole my heart from the beginning. The manwhore who avoided love as much as he can but ended up helplessly falling in love with this small but beautiful woman Lib--- who share the same passion but belongs to a different religion and culture and also engaged to another man. Lib is a strong woman and she is feisty and stubborn and smart and confident and independent yet soft on the inside. She makes a perfect match for J.C. whose character is as strong as her. They make a perfect couple and they are my most favorite in the Blueberry Lane series yet.
I don't exactly look for it, but there are certain words that usually hit me whenever I read a book. It still surprise me everytime because I find it rare and special and when they do hit a spot, the book suddenly feels like home...
“But forever exists. I promise you it does... It’s a choice. It’s a choice to love someone and be faithful to them and do the work. We’re all capable of that.”
"There was a freshness, a newness, an excitement in finding the right person after knowing so many who weren't."
These words are true and I believe them with all my heart. And for a book to be beautiful and unforgettable, it has to have meaning too. For it to have meaning, it should be able to speak to us--probably in many different ways--but it should speak to us and make us remember their words even before you finished the book. For me, that makes this book not only beautiful and romantic but also hopeful and courageous and brave. Because loving isn't easy and this book gives hope to those who are afraid to love and be loved in return. Then there's the magic of destiny and also the truth that we can make them happen.
I loved J.C. and Lib. I loved their story that made them oh so right for each other. Katy has written yet another beautiful love story that will make you feel sexy and will definitely make you swoon!...more

I really liked Marry Me Mad! Both books are part of The Rousseau Series but both can be read as standalone. These two books are beautiful in different kind of way that readers will surely enjoy. While Jonquils for Jax is enchantingly sweet, Marry Me Mad is delictably hot. Forget the sweetness of Jonquils for Jax for a while because this book is more spice than sweetness and Katy delivered them well. And oh my gosh. CORT. The banters between him and Mad brought a lot of smiles on my face. I was surprised most of the times because I kinda found myself smiling more times than I can count. And if you want a sexy read with humor and wit, you won't be disappointed. My favorite is the harp scene. You got to read the book to find out. It's one of the hottest scene I've ever read in a romance books. Katy leveled up the hotness and I bet most of the readers will love it!
In Marry Me Mad, I instantly fell in love with Cort. Knowing he's an Ambler who are known to be the blacksheep of the Blueberry Lane, added more allure to the personality of this thoughtful, beautiful, and talented soul. Here is a tattooed man who plays piano and harp and has the kindest and the softest of hearts.
Madeleine Rousseau or Mad for short, is Jax's twin sister. If you already read Jonquils for Jax, then you know that Jax is the sassy one, the socialite twin, the popular award winning producer in Hollywood and the opposite of Mad. Mad is a librarian, the gentle, sweet and pristine Rousseau sister. But underneath her proper clothes and elegant pearls is a wild woman waiting to be unleashed.
I had a glimpse of Mad and Cort in Jonquils for Jax but I didn't see the real Mad until this book. I know she was the sweet sister... the one who always there for you when you need someone to talk to. She's the listener who lives in the shadow of Jax, but deep inside she has sass and spice which made Cort love her more.
I think that one of the highlights for me while reading this book is when I realized that many of us can actually relate to Mad. There is always something inside of us, no matter what our exteriors show to everyone else, that is hidden and waiting to be free. I kinda envy Mad for having Cort--passionate and loving and who knows the real her, appreciate her and embrace her wholly. I fall for Cort as well, more and more throughout the story.
Marry Me Mad is like a second chance kind of book for me since Cort and Mad have loved each other since they were little but never had their chance until they meet after ten years or so. It is a story about two soulmates who are destined to love each other, but they needed time to grow separately and learn how to fight for true love and their happiness. It shows that some childhood feelings that is kept hidden through the years, when watered, sometimes makes the best kind of love. It can be a beautiful fairytale. Mad and Cort have that kind of fairytale.
Though I still love Jonquils for Jax better than Marry Me Mad, this book is all love. For a girl who is a sucker for Happily-Ever-After, Katy Regnery's books is always a go to. I think this is her forte. She always give beautiful endings. It's like a sweet escape from all the ugliness in life and it makes you believe that fairytales can still do happen.
Will I recommend this book? YES. Will I still read the next story? So freaking YES. Now, I am looking forward to J.C.'s story!...more
