I shed a few tears as Morkel ‘s world is torn apart and you are with him every step of the way as he encounters the pain that he self inflicts upon himself. He will finally learn the true path that he was destined to follow with a surprise ending. This novel will leave you wanting a sequel as this love story must continue.
Mian Moshin Zia writes from the heart. This was very easy to follow and the way the characters are portrayed are very believable. Mian knows how to put his feelings to words and his words of a desperate man in love will cut to the bone. As the story is peppered with poetry you will find yourself returning to read them again and again.

The is a gut wrenching saga of a strong Pauite woman's life whose is chronicled from the horrific massacre back in the late 1800's from the US military upon her family. Her ancestors had led her to become a strong Shamaness and have the ability to transcend the legend from this sacred ground into other eras and the lives of present day characters who develop within the story with strong ties and are ones who inhabit the same haunting area. I could feel the emotions of every traumatic event as it was replayed out again as some were in karmic cycle. It was as if I was there experiencing all that went down during that brutal attack on our Native American people. Chapters intertwine with much hints of how all of these characters relate in some mystical way to pave the way for this legend to be played out again but in modern day terms.
Sally Eccleston is a master at the teachings of the PauiteTribe and holds such reverence for this tale. Her intense spiritual sense lets her words resonate with you as you read on and just know her passion is retold in this very touching story.This story leaves me only wanting to go and research more information on the account of the massacre at Pyramid Lake in 1865 and learn more about this powerful shamaness who continues to leave her imprint for further generations to come from her imprint on the mysteries that surround the land of Pyramid Lake.
